  • CNG which was released as a substitute of the previous CAPI (Cryptography API) library from Microsoft is constructed with individual modules based on the plug-in architecture, this means CNG is exceedingly helpful in the cost of development as well as the facility of extension. On the opposite side of these advantages, considerations on security issues are quite insufficient. Therefore, a research on security assurance is strongly required in the environment of distributing and utilizing the CNG library, hence, we analyze possible security vulnerabilities on the CNG library. Based on analyzed vulnerabilities, proof-of-concept tools are implemented and vulnerabilities are verified using them. Verified results are that contents of mail, account information of mail server, and authentication information of web-sites such as Amazon, E-bay, Google, and Facebook are exposed in Outlook program and Internet Explorer program using CNG library. We consider that the analyzed result in this paper can improve the security for various applications using CNG library.

  • One of the most remarkable technologies in the era of the 4th industrial revolution is the interest in the field of smart cars. In the near future, it will not only be possible to move to a place where you want to ride a smart car, but smart cars, including artificial intelligence elements, can avoid sudden car accidents. However, as the field of smart automobiles develops, the risks are expected to increase. Therefore, based on the understanding of security vulnerabilities that may occur in smart car networks, we can apply safe information security technology using FIDO and attribute-based authorization delegation technique to provide smart car control technology that is safe and secure. I want to. In this paper, we show that the proposed method can solve security vulnerabilities by using secure smart car control technology. We will further study various proposals to solve security vulnerabilities in the field of smart car networks through future research.

  • As the number of security vulnerabilities increases yearly, security threats continue to occur, and the vulnerability risk is also important. We devise a security threat score calculation reflecting trends to determine the risk of security vulnerabilities. The three stages considered key elements such as attack type, supplier, vulnerability trend, and current attack methods and techniques. First, it reflects the results of checking the relevance of the attack type, supplier, and CVE. Secondly, it considers the characteristics of the topic group and CVE identified through the LDA algorithm by the Jaccard similarity technique. Third, the latest version of the MITER ATT&CK framework attack method, technology trend, and relevance between CVE are considered. We used the data within overseas sites provide reliable security information to review the usability of the proposed final formula CTRS. The scoring formula makes it possible to fast patch and respond to related information by identifying vulnerabilities with high relevance and risk only with some particular phrase.

  • The user authentication on the security applications is one of the most important process. Because character based password is commonly used for user authentication, it is most important to protect the keyboard. Due to the reason, several software solutions for keyboard security have been applied to critical sites. This paper introduces vulnerabilities to the commonly used USB keyboard, implements a sample code using the vulnerabilities and evaluates the possibility for the keyboard data to be stolen in the guarded environment. Through the comparison of the result, a countermeasure to the vulnerabilities is proposed.

  • As the current security monitoring system is operated as a passive system only for response after an attacker's attack, it is common to respond to intrusion incidents after an attack occurs. In particular, when new assets are added and actual services are performed, there is a limit to vulnerability testing and pre-defense from the point of view of an actual hacker. In this paper, a new security monitoring model has been proposed that uses multiple hacking-related search engines to add proactive vulnerability response functions of protected assets. In other words, using multiple search engines with general purpose or special purpose, special vulnerabilities of the assets to be protected are checked in advance, and the vulnerabilities of the assets that have appeared as a result of the check are removed in advance. In addition, the function of pre-checking the objective attack vulnerabilities of the protected assets recognized from the point of view of the actual hacker, and the function of discovering and removing a wide range of system-related vulnerabilities located in the IP band in advance were additionally presented.

  • Recently, Cyber Physical System (CPS) is one of the core technologies for realizing Internet of Things (IoT). The CPS is a new paradigm that seeks to converge the physical and cyber worlds in which we live. However, the CPS suffers from certain CPS issues that could directly threaten our lives, while the CPS environment, including its various layers, is related to on-the-spot threats, making it necessary to study CPS security. Therefore, a survey-based in-depth understanding of the vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks is required of CPS security and privacy for IoT. In this paper, we analyze security issues, threats, and solutions for IoT-CPS, and evaluate the existing researches. The CPS raises a number challenges through current security markets and security issues. The study also addresses the CPS vulnerabilities and attacks and derives challenges. Finally, we recommend solutions for each system of CPS security threats, and discuss ways of resolving potential future issues.

  • The purpose of information security activities is to reduce large-scale material and human accidents that are concerned about hacking damage to important systems, such as control systems, through periodic preventive activities in addition to finding the cause and taking follow-up measures after damage caused by hacking. For this reason, although each institution is using a security work audit model in accordance with the relevant regulations, it is not easy to conduct company-wide inspection activities due to the constraints of manpower and time. Therefore, in this paper, we will analyze the major vulnerabilities of public institutions over the past 10 years and present a security audit model that can perform efficient security activities compared to the models for domestic and foreign security audits.

  • As drones are widely used, attack attempts using drone vulnerabilities are increasing, and drone security is growing in importance. This paper derives security requirements for reconnaissance drone delivered to government office through threat modeling. Threats are analyzed by the data flow of the drone and collecting possible vulnerabilities. Attack tree is built by analyzed threats. The security requirements were derived from the attack tree and compared with the security requirements suggested by national organizations. Utilizing the security requirements derived from this paper will help in the development and evaluation of secure drones.

  • Sensor network configurations are for a specific situation or environment sensors capable of sensing, processing the collected information processors, and as a device is transmitting or receiving data. It is presently serious that sensor networks provide many benefits, but can not solve the wireless network security vulnerabilities, the risk of exposure to a variety of state information. u-Healthcare sensor networks, the smaller the sensor node power consumption, and computing power, memory, etc. restrictions imposing, wireless sensing through the kind of features that deliver value, so it ispossible that eavesdropping, denial of service, attack, routing path. In this paper, with a focus on sensing of the environment u-Healthcare system wireless security vulnerabilities factors u-Healthcare security framework to diagnose and design methods are presented. Sensor network technologies take measures for security vulnerabilities, but without the development of technology, if technology is not being utilized properly it will be an element of threat. Studies suggest that the u-Healthcare System in a variety of security risks measures user protection in the field of health information will be used as an important guide.
