  • CATIA V5 is one of the most preferred softwares in product design for domestic and industrial use. But with the development of the IT industry, design data by CATIA V5 can easily be hacked and stolen especially via the internet and through assistance storage medium. The design data could be protected through executive, physical and technical security system. The best way to maintain confidentiality of data from unauthorized access is to have a cryptosystem of the technical security. In this paper, a cryptosystem for the protection of design data was being proposed. The memory contains the file information made by the New and Open function of CATIA V5. No error can be expected even if the file changed before of after the application of Save and Open function, A cryptosystem was constructed in CATIA V5 by inserting crypto algorithm before and after the I/O process. The encryption/decryption algorithm of each function was based on the complex cipher, which applied permutation cipher and transpose cipher. The file security system was programmed in CAA V5 and Visual C++.

  • This paper proposes an authentication protocol using the key server in the ECPglobai RFID system. The proposed authentication protocol uses the key server and the time-out mechanism to resist various attacks including DoS(Denial of Service) attack. For easy implementation, the proposed protocol also uses the function existing in EPCglobal class 1 gen2 protocol without additive function such as hash function. The proposed protocol is evaluated through two analytical methods. The correctness of the proposed protocol is proved using the GNY analysis. By the security analysis, this paper showed that the proposed protocol is resistant to various attacks including DoS attack. The analytical results demonstrated that the proposed protocol offered a secure RFID system.

  • This study investigates the importance of government's support for logistics security assurance through certification programs. First, the study analyzed priorities among the requirements of logistics firms through Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and Quality Function Deployment(QFD) approaches. For this process we invited 21 logistics experts to assess the relationships between logistic firms' requirements and government policies regarding logistics security using the house of quality, a set of matrices of QFD. The results of this phase of the study revealed the priorities of logistics firms' goals regarding the diffusion of the government security certification program as follows: integrated logistics security systems(40.3%), strengthening government support systems(32.4%), and operational effectiveness of logistics security certification(27.2%). Second, a relative weights applied QFD method based on AHP was applied to determined the expected outcome of the logistics security certification program. The results indicated as follows: productivity improvement(28.4%), improved level of service(26.7%), logistics cost reduction(21.6%), advanced information systems(19.7%), and improved environmental protection(3.6%). The results of this study provide new insights concerning logistics firms' requirements for supply chain security and the importance of government's support policies through logistics security certification programs.

  • OMG (Object Management Group) published a security service specification, called CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) security reference model because the integration of security and object-oriented techniques was critical for successful deployment of distributed object systems. The CORBA security reference model treats access control as an implementation independent semantic concept but has incomplete semantics of the access control function. Because of such imcompleteness it is difficult for the system administrator and the CORBA security implementor to have the same understanding for the meaning of access control in the CORBA security. We propose a formal model for access control the CORBA security using the formal description language, which is called Z language based on typed set theory. The proposed model provides concrete semantics of the access control function to both the system administrator and the implementor.

  • The USB flash drive is common used for portable storage. That is able to store large data and transfer data quickly and carry simply. But when you lose your USB flash drive without any security function in use, all stored data will be exposed. So the new USB flash drive supported security function was invented to compensate for the problem. In this paper, we analyze vulnerability of 6 control access program for secure USB flash drives. And we show that exposed password on communication between secure USB flash drive and PC. Also we show the vulnerability of misapplication for initialization. Further we develop a protection profile for secure USB flash drive based on the common criteria version 3.1. Finally, we examine possible threat of 6 secure USB flash drives and supports of security objectives which derived from protection profile.

  • Home network technologies which interconnect various wire and wireless home appliances, access network technologies and service offer technologies are continuing growth. To provide secure services in the home, home network environment, access network environment, and various service and contents offer technologies are consist organically. Thesis of administration method of systematic and effective groove network is most urgent and important urea to offer safety and authoritativeness of home networking service in home network that strong certification and security function are required among these technologies. In this paper, we propose home gateway security management architecture and the way to use SNMPv3. Also, we propose structure and function of home network management system to support various home networking security scenarios.

  • This paper introduces the concept of a random universal hash function to amplify security in a quantum key distribution system. It seems to provide security amplification using the relationship between quantum error correction and security. In addition, the approach in terms of security amplification shows that phase error correction offers better security. We explain how the universal hash function enhances security using the BB84 protocol, which is a typical example of QKD(Quantum Key Distribution). Finally, we show that the BB84 protocol using random privacy amplification is safe at higher key rates than Mayers' performance at the same error rate.

  • Recently, the number of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has been increasing exponentially. These IoT devices are directly connected to the internet to exchange information. IoT devices are becoming smaller and lighter. However, security measures are not taken in a timely manner compared to the security vulnerabilities of IoT devices. This is often the case when the security patches cannot be applied to the device because the security patches are not adequately applied or there is no patch function. Thus, security vulnerabilities continue to exist, and security incidents continue to increase. In this study, we classified and analyzed the most common security vulnerabilities for IoT devices and identify the essential vulnerabilities of IoT devices that should be considered for security when producing IoT devices. This paper will contribute to reducing the occurrence of security vulnerabilities in companies that produce IoT devices. Additionally, companies can identify vulnerabilities that frequently occur in IoT devices and take preemptive measures.

  • Boolean function synthesize problem is to find a boolean expression with in/outputs of original function. This problem can be modeled into a 0-1 integer programming. In this paper, we find a boolean expressions of S-boxes of DES for an example, whose algebraic structure has been unknown for many years. The results of this paper can be used for efficient hardware implementation of a function and cryptanalysis using algebraic structure of a block cipher.
