소구치 발거를 통한 교정치료가 한국어 자음의 발음에 미치는 영향 (THE EFFECT OF ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT BY PREMOLAR EXTRACTION ON THE PRONUNCIATION OF THE KOREAN CONSONATS)

  • 교정치료가 발음에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대해 연구하기 위해 구강용적의 감소를 초래하는 4개의 소구치를 발거하고 교정치료를 끝낸 환자와 대조군을 대상으로 한국어 자음에 대하여 자음의 지속시간과 파형의 형태를 비교 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 자음의 지속시간에 있어서 CV형의 "ㅅ"과 "ㅌ"을 제외한 모든 어음에서 치료군의 자음 지속시간이 길었고, 특히 CV형에서의 "ㅈ"과"ㅆ"르리고 VCV형에서 "ㄷ"에서는 현저한 자음지속시간의 차이를 보였다. 2. VCV형에 있어서 두드러진 차이를 보이는 것은 "ㅉ"과 "ㅆ", "ㅊ"이였는데 "ㅉ"에 있어서는 파형의 형태가 치료군에서 더 강하고 특히 후속모음으로 이행구간에는 더 두드러졌으며, "ㅆ"에서는 선행모음에서 자음으로 이행시 치료군에서는 자음의 성분이 뚜렷하게 연속해서 나타나나, 대조군에서는 자음의 시작점이 불분명하고, 자음의 지속시간 또한 치료군에서 더 길었으며, 파형 자체의 영교차점도 치료군에서 더 빈번하였다. "ㅊ"에 있어서는 파형의 형태에 있어 유기음의 성분은 치료군에서 더 두드러졌으며, 파형의 형태 또한 강하게 나타났다. 3. 파형의 형태 비교에서는 CV형에서 "ㄷ", "ㅈ"의 발음시 치료군에서는 "ㅌ", "ㅈ" 같은 유기음에서 볼수 있는 기류의 흐름이 나타났다. 4. 유기음의 "ㅌ"와 "ㅊ"에서는 대조군보다 치료군에서 기류의 흐름이 많았으며 파형의 형태 또한 강하게 나타났다.

영종도 중산동 신석기시대 토기의 재료학적 분류와 물리적 특성 (Classifications by Materials and Physical Characteristics for Neolithic Pottery from Jungsandong Site in Yeongjong Island, Korea)

  • 중산동 유적은 선캠브리아기의 석영편암층과 운모편암층에 걸쳐 분포하며, 풍화층에는 운모, 석영, 장석, 각섬석 및 녹니석 등 다양한 비가소성 광물이 다량 포함되어 유적지의 지반을 형성하고 있다. 중산동 유적 신석기시대 토기는 다양한 갈색계열을 보이며, 일부 시료는 속심과 내면을 따라 흑심이 발달하고 예리한 빗살시문과 손누름 자국이 관찰된다. 이들은 비가소성 입자의 조성과 입도 및 분급과 원마도가 다양하여 특징적 광물조성에 따라 4 유형으로 세분하였다. I-형은 장석질 토기로 장석이 주성분이며 석영과 운모를 포함하기도 한다. II-형은 운모질 토기로 녹니석화된 운모류, 활석과 투각섬석 및 투휘석의 조합을 이룬다. III-형은 활석질 토기로 미량의 석영과 운모를 동반한다. IV-형은 석면질 토기로 투각섬석과 미량의 활석을 포함한다. 중산동 토기는 내외면의 색상이 다소 불균질하다. I-형 토기군은 장석류 함량에 따라 적색 및 황색도에 차이가 있으며, III-형 토기군과 유사하다. II-형은 적색도가 다소 높아 IV-형과 유사하다. 유적지 토양은 토기에 비해 적색 및 황색도가 높다. 전암대자율은 0.088~7.360(${\times}10^{-3}$ SI unit)의 넓은 범위이나, 각 유형별 주성분 광물에 따라 구분된다. 토기의 부피비중과 흡수율은 1.6~1.7 및 13.1~26.0%의 범위를 보인다. 각 유형별 토기군은 I-형의 유기물 고착시료 < III-형 및 IV-형 < I-형 < II-형 (IV-형의 IJP-15 포함)의 순으로 공극률과 흡수율이 증가하며 뚜렷한 영역 차이를 보였다. 이는 비가소성 입자의 종류와 입도 등에 따라 물리적 성질의 차이가 나타나기 때문이다. 중산동 토기는 다양한 재료의 혼합으로 이루어져 있으나, 유적지 토양은 중산동 토기가 갖는 모든 광물조성을 공급할 수 있는 지질조건을 갖추고 있다. 따라서 원료는 유적지 주변 석영편암과 운모편암의 풍화대에서 수급이 가능하였을 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 구성광물, 입도 및 암편이 다양한 양상을 보여 원료 채취장소가 여러 곳이었을 가능성이 높으며, 이에 따른 점토화 및 풍화도의 차이가 있는 것으로 해석할 수 있다.

황해 중동부해역에서 CTD와 음향탐지기로 관측한 내부파와 표층 혼합 (Internal Waves and Surface Mixing Observed by CTD and Echo Sounder in the mid-eastern Yellow Sea)

  • 황해 중동부 해역에서 2012년 9월에 동서방향으로 설정된 단면과 금강 하구 외측 저염수 지역의 정박지점에서 음향탐지기를 이용하여 음향 후방산란 구조(acoustic backscatter profile)를 측정하였으며 CTD로 물성구조도 관측하였다. 수심 50 m 부근 해역에 발달한 해저사주 주변에서 조석전선이 형성되었다. 이 사주의 동쪽에서 저조 때 음향탐지기로 관측된 내부파는 파고가 약 15 m, 평균파장이 500 m정도이며, 파형이 비선형 오목형 파(depression wave)였다. 이 내부파는 남동쪽으로 흐르는 조류가 사주를 지나면서 만든 조석내부파로 해석되었다. 약한 비선형성 단독 내부파 이론을 적용하였을 때 오목형 내부파들의 전파속도는 약 50 cm/s 정도이고, 주기는 16~18분 정도로 계산되었다. 강한 음향 산란층이 국지적으로 7 m 정도 상승된 지역의 해면에서 Dinoflagelates Cochlodinium에 의한 적조가 관찰되었다. 금강하구 외측 정박지점에서 한 시간간격으로 관측한 물성구조는 해륙풍과 조류에 따른 염분약층 깊이 변동을 보여 주었다. 창조류가 북동쪽으로 강하게 흐르고 육풍이 서쪽으로 7 m/s 이상 불었을 때에는 염분약층이 일시적으로 상승하였고, 음향구조 영상은 해면 하 약 5 m까지 복잡한 구조를 보였는데 포획과 관입 형태를 갖는 강하고 약한 산란신호의 기울어진 음향구조가 수 십초 간격으로 교대로 나타났다. 표면 혼합층에서의 이러한 음향구조는 황해 중동부 연안역에서는 처음으로 관측되었다. 음향 후방산란 영상과 탁도 자료는 창조류와 육풍에 의한 표층 취송류가 만드는 수직적인 유속차(shear)에 의해 맑은 하층수가 탁한 상층으로 관입 혹은 포획된 것임을 제시한다.

이산화탄소 지중 주입에 의한 경상분지 사암의 용해반응 규명 및 용해 반응상수값 계산 (Study on the Dissolution of Sandstones in Gyeongsang Basin and the Calculation of Their Dissolution Coefficients under CO2 Injection Condition)

  • 국내 육상 이산화탄소 지중저장 후보지 중 하나로 거론되고 있는 경상분지 사암에 대하여 초임계$CO_2$ 주입에 의한 사암의 용해반응을 규명하는 실내 실험을 실시하였다. 초임계$CO_2$로 존재하는 지중저장 온도/압력조건(100 bar와 $50^{\circ}C$)을 재현한 스테인레스 셀(용량 110 ml) 내부에 지하수를 주입한 후, 공극률이 다른 3 종류의 경상분지 사암 시료에 대하여 슬랩으로 제작하여 표면을 폴리싱한 후 고압셀 하부에 고정시켜 지하수에 잠기게 하였으며, 초임계$CO_2$를 주입한 후 60 일 동안 지하수 용존 이온 농도 변화, 질량 변화, 광물의 평균 표면 거칠기 변화를 측정하였다. 사암의 물성 변화 실험에서는 채취한 3 종류의 경상분지 사암들을 원통형 코어 형태로 가공하여 대형 고온고압탱크(2 liter 용량)에 고정시켜 30 일 동안 반응 시킨 후 공극률, 건조밀도, 탄성파 속도, 일축압축강도 등을 측정하여 용해반응에 의한 사암의 물성변화를 규명하였다. 반응 시간에 따른 사암 코어의 무게를 측정하여 질량 변화에 따른 1차 용해반응 상수값($k_d$)을 계산하였으며, 이 용해상수를 이용하여 단위면적($cm^2$) 당 1 g의 사암시료가 완전히 용해되는데 걸리는 용해시간을 계산하였다. 사암 슬랩을 이용한 지중저장 조건에서 초임계$CO_2$-사암-지하수 반응 실험 결과 $Ca^{2+}$, $Na^+$의 용해반응이 활발하게 일어나는 것으로 나타나, 이들 함량이 높은 사장석, 방해석 등을 중심으로 사암의 용해반응이 일어남을 알 수 있었으며, 반응 30 일 후 초기 A사암 슬랩 무게의 0.66%가 반응에 의해 용해되었다. 경상분지 사암의 물성 변화 실험 결과, $CO_2$ 반응 30 일 동안 B사암과 C사암의 공극률은 초기 공극률 기준 16.2%와 7.4% 증가하는 반면, 건조밀도, 탄성파 속도 그리고 일축압축강도는 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 이 결과는 초임계$CO_2$와 반응하여 암석의 용해반응에 의한 물성변화가 짧은 시간 동안 활발히 일어나고 있음을 의미한다. 계산된 용해반응상수값($k_d$)으로부터 B사암과 C사암의 경우 사암에 주입된 $CO_2$에 의하여 단위면적($cm^2$)당 1 g이 용해되는데 각각 평균 1,532 년과 329 년이 걸리는 것으로 나타나, $CO_2$ 지중저장 시 사암의 용해반응이 짧은 시간동안 활발히 일어날 수 있음을 입증하였다.

국·내외 기준개선을 통한 국내 초고층 건축물의 화재피해경감 대책에 관한 연구 (A study on measures for the mitigation of fire damage in Korea super high-rise building through the improvement of domestic·foreign standards)

  • 초고층 건축물의 발생 가능한 화재를 방지하기 위해서는 통일된 법 규정과 합리적인 설계가 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 초고층 및 대형 건축물관련 건축심의 성능위주설계(PBD)평가 재해영향평가(DIA)를 중심으로 이 제도의 대상이 되는 건축물과 그 내용상의 문제를 분석하여 성능위주 설계를 기반으로 하는 화재 공학적 화재예방 개선방안을 도출하였다. 먼저 법 기준개선측면에서는 첫째 성능위주설계(PBD)평가와 재해영향평가 등에 있어서 상당부분이 동일한 내용임에도 불구하고 두 개의 법령으로 이원화된 부분은 일치 시키고 통폐합해서 운영하는 것이 필요하다. 둘째, 성능위주설계(PBD)평가와 재해영향평가(DIA)의 통폐합이 불가능하다면, 성능위주설계(PBD)평가와 재해영향평가(DIA)의 내용의 영역이 명확히 구분되어 정립되어야 한다. 다음 초고층 건축물의 공학적 화재위험성에 대한 개선방안으로는 NFPA 규정대로 첫째 특별 피난 계단에서 직통계단의 규정을 개정할 필요가 있으며, 배연창 대신 기계식 배연설비를 설치하는 경우, 미국에서 사용하는 샌드위치 가압방식(Sandwich Pressurization) 허용하고, 둘째 특별 피난계단용 제연설비는 화재시 구간별로 급기 할 수 있도록 기준의 개정 및 설계초기 단계부터 준공까지 성능위주설계 진행 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 향후 이상의 연구에서 도출한 개선책 반영과 함께 초고층 건축물의 대한 또 다른 고려사항들에 대해 추가적인 연구가 진행되고, 또한 유지관리에 대한 연구가 진행되어 그 결과를 반영할 수 있는 초고층 건축물이라면 화재로 인한 인명피해 및 재산손실을 줄이는데 획기적인 기여를 할 것으로 예상된다.

의치의 마무리와 연마법이 의치상 레진과 연성 이장재 간의 공극에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influence of Finishing and Polishing Methods on the Gap between Denture Base Resin and Soft Liner)

  • 연성 이장재를 의치에 적용했을 때, 의치 변연부에서 나타나는 공극에 의한 문제점을 많이 경험하게 된다. 그래서 변연 공극을 최대한 줄일 수 있는 방법을 연구하여야 하고 특히 최종 과정인 마무리와 연마시의 변연 공극의 양상에 대한 평가가 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 실리콘 계열의 연성 이장재인 $Molloplast-B^{(R)}$를 적용하였을 때, 의치와 연성 의치 이장재의 접합부에서 나타나는 공극의 양을 측정하고 연마 방법, 연마 방향이 변연 공극에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 마무리 방법과 연마 방법, 방향에 따라 군 분류를 하였고, 시편의 일관성과 정확성을 위해 금속 틀을 방전 가공하여 제작하였고, 제조사의 지시에 따라 총 50개의 시편을 제작하였다. 공극의 양은 120배 확대의 입체 광학 현미경상에서 가장 큰 값을 가지는 부위를 측정하였고, 모든 측정치는 통계적 분석, 평가 하였다. 실험 결과, 각 분류에 따른 공극을 비교 했을 때, $Molloplast^{(R)}$-Cutter로 마무리 한 후 pumice와 tin oxide를 순행하여 연마를 한 경우가 가장 크게 나타났고, FSQ-cross cut bur를 이용하여 마무리만 한 것이 가장 적게 나타났다. 또한 연마를 할수록 공극의 양이 증가되는 양상을 나타내었다. 방향에 따라서는 통계적 유의성은 나타나지 않았으나 레진에서 연성 이장재 방향으로 시행하였을 때가 더 적은 값을 나타내는 경향을 보였다. 이상의 결과로 보아 삭제력이 우수한 버일수록 레진과 연성 이장재의 접합부에서 나타나는 공극이 커짐을 알 수 있었고, 또한 연마를 시행 할수록 공극의 양이 유의성 있는 차이를 나타내었다. 접합부에서의 공극을 줄일 수 있는 마무리와 연마 방법에 대한 더 많은 연구가 이루어져야 하고 부가적으로 최종 연마가 끝나고 공극을 막아 줄 수 있는 재료에 대한 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Optimal parameters of electrical stimulation for slow muscles were 20 Hz, 0.2 ms square pulse. For fast muscle, 40 Hz, 0.3 ms square pulse was optimal to produce repeated contraction. Electrical stimulation for each muscle was designed to generate bipedal locomotion, so that individual muscles alternate contraction and relaxation to simulate stance and swing phases.
