  • Secondary damage to the user is a problem in biometrics. A brain-wave has no shape and a malicious user may not cause secondary damage to a user. However, if user sends brain-wave signals to an authentication system using a network, a malicious user could easily capture the brain-wave signals. Then, the malicious user could access the authentication system using the captured brain-wave signals. In addition, the dataset containing the brain-wave signals is large and the transfer time is long. However, user authentication requires a real-time processing, and an encryption scheme on brain-wave signals is necessary. In this paper, we propose an efficient encryption scheme using a chaos map and adaptive junk data on the brain-wave signals for user authentication. As a result, the encrypted brain-wave signals are produced and the processing time for authentication is reasonable in real-time.

  • In this paper, a zero trust-based complex biometric authentication was proposed in a passwordless environment. The linkage of FIDO 2.0 (Fast IDENTITY Online) transaction authentication platforms was designed in conjunction with metaverse. In particular, it was applied with the location information of a smart terminal according to a geomagnetic sensor, an accelerator sensor, and biometric information for multi-factor authentication(MFA). At this time, a FIDO transaction authentication platform was presented for adaptive complex authentication with user's environment through complex authentication with secondary authentication based on situational awareness such as illuminance and temperature/humidity. As a result, it is possible to authenticate secondary users based on zero trust with behavior patterns such as fingerprint recognition, iris recognition, face recognition, and voice according to the environment. In addition, it is intended to check the linkage result of the FIDO platform for complex integrated authentication and improve the authentication accuracy of the linkage platform for transaction authentication using FIDO2.0.

  • Recently on IoT environment, there is necessary of protected network, which is only specific user can access it. Applying OAuth protocol on IoT, it can be easier to construct network authentication system, but it is hard to construct protected network authentication system. And there is weakness of OAuth protocol, which is easily attacked by sniffing Token by attacker. So, it is necessary to secondary authentication for OAuth. In ultimate IoT, the fog computing is essential. Fog computing is extension of cloud that enables networking not only in core system but also in edge system and communication node to node. Strength of fog computing is location awareness, support for mobility, and so on. If authentication in fog computing uses this strength, it can be more specialized in Fog Computing. So, in secondary Authentication, using Cyber-Physical-Social System will increase convenience of user than using existing authentication system, such as authentication certificate, id/password and group key, which is inconvenient for user. This study is about authentication based Cyber-Physical-Social System.

  • As user of mobile device increases, various user authentication methods are actively researched. The user authentication methods includes a method of using a user ID and a password, a method of using user biometric feature, a method of using location based, and a method of authenticating secondary authentication such as OTP(One Time Password) method is used. In this paper, we propose a user system which improves the problem of existing authentication method and encryption can proceed in a way that user desires. The proposed authentication system is composed of an authentication factor collection module that collects authentication factors using a mobile device, a security key generation module that generates a security key by combining the collected authentication factors, and a module that performs authentication using the generated security key module.

  • Gradually increasing the value of the technology, the techniques of the various security systems to protect the core technology have been developed. The proposed security scheme, which uses both a Password and the various devices, is always open by malicious user. In order to solve that problem, the biometric authentication systems are introduced but they have a problem which is the secondary damage to the user. So, the authentication methods using EEG(Electroencephalography) signals were developed. However, the size of EEG signals is big and it cause a lot of problems for the real-time authentication. And the encryption method is necessary. In this paper, we proposed an efficient real-time authentication system applied encryption scheme with junk data using chaos map on the EEG signals.

  • With the recent development of biometric authentication technology, the user authentication techniques using biometric authentication are increasing. Various problems arised in certification techniques that use various existing methods such as ID/PW. Therefore, recently, a method of improving security by introducing biometric authentication as secondary authentication has been used. In this thesis, proposal of the user authentication system that can detect user identification and anomalies using ECGs that are extremely difficult to falsify through the electrical biometric signals from the heart among various biometric authentication devices is studied. The system detects user anomalies by comparing ECG data received from a wrist-mounted wearable device-type ECG measurement tool with identification and ECG data stored in blockchain form on the database and identifying the user's location through a beacon system.

  • Due to the rapid progress in network technology, many research on content security technologies is also being conducted in the mobile digital content sector. In the meantime, content protection has been immersed in preventing illegal copying, certifying, and issuance/management certificates, but still have many vulnerabilities in managing or authenticating confidential information. This study aims to strengthen confidential information about content based on dual management of content download rights through mobile phone numbers or device numbers. It also protect replay-attack by building a secure mobile DRM system where digital content is safely distributed based on a three-stage user authentication process. In addition, blockchain-based content security enhancements were studied during the primary/secondary process for user authentication for the prevention of piracy and copyright protection. In addition, the client authentication process was further improved through three final stages of authorization in the use of illegal content, considering that legitimate users redistributed their content to third-party.

  • Spectrum sensing, as a fundamental functionality of Cognitive Radio (CR), enables Secondary Users (SUs) to monitor the spectrum and detect spectrum holes that could be used. Recently, the security issues of Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) have attracted increasing research attention. As one of the attacks against CRNs, a Primary User Emulation (PUE) attack compromises the spectrum sensing of CR, where an attacker monopolizes the spectrum holes by impersonating the Primary User (PU) to prevent SUs from accessing the idle frequency bands. Energy detection is often used to sense the spectrum in CRNs, but the presence of PUE attack has not been considered. This study examined the effect of PUE attack on the performance of energy detection-based spectrum sensing technique. In the proposed protocol, the stationary helper nodes (HNs) are deployed in multiple stages and distributed over the coverage area of the PUs to deliver spectrum status information to the next stage of HNs and to SUs. On the other hand, the first stage of HNs is also responsible for inferring the existence of the PU based on the energy detection technique. In addition, this system provides the detection threshold under the constraints imposed on the probabilities of a miss detection and false alarm.
