저공해 스토커형 도시폐기물 소각로 설계를 위한 열유동 수치해석 연구 (The Study of Numerical Simulation on the Thermal Flow Performance for the Design of Low Emission Stoker Type Municipal Waste Incinerator)

  • A Numerical simulation on the thermal flow performance was carried out to propose the incinerator type for the domestic refuses and to investigate the design factor and operating conditions. The SSTI(Standard Stoker Type Incinerator) proposed in this study was modified from the type with central f)ow. It has the characteristics of good mixing between refuse and hot combustion gas in primary combustion chamber and between unburned gas inflowing and secondary air jet in secondary chamber. By predictive results, the SSTI was no recirculation zone in secondary chamber so that mixing time was increased with high residence time. It has good characteristics of combustion and low emission. Parametric screening studies have been understood with phenomenon of combustion in incinerator.

  • In this study, it is the purpose to study about design and manufacture of a pulse transformer for using in pulse generator and a pulse laser system. In this experiment, a ferite core in transformer instead of air core is used. The performance of the transformer is demonstrated by a voltage pulse waveform according to inductance of primary and secondary in transformer. As a result, the voltage pulse width is increased as increasement of inductance in transformer. And the voltage rate between primary and secondary is almost same with rate of inductance between primary and secondary.

공기다단 적용 석유코크스 연료 전용 연소기에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Petroleum Cokes Air Staged Burner)

  • This study is aimed to study combustion characteristics of low $NO_X$ burner using petroleum cokes as fuel. The petroleum coke, which is produced through the oil refining process, is an attractive fuel in terms of its high heating value and relatively low price. But petroleum coke is a challenging fuel because of its low volatile content, high sulfur and nitrogen content, which give rise to undesirable emission characteristics and low ignitability. The petroleum cokes burner is operated at fuel rich condition, and overfire air are supplied to achieve fuel lean condition. The low $NO_X$ burner is designed to control fuel and air mixing to achieve air staged combustion, in addition secondary and tertiary air are supplied through swirler. Air distribution ratio of triple staged air are optimized experimentally. The result showed that $NO_X$ concentration is lowest when overfire air is used, and the burner function at a fuel rich condition.

한반도 도서 지역 대기질 영향요인에 관한 연구 -울릉도, 제주도, 백령도 등을 중심으로 (A Study on the Factors Influencing Air Pollutions in the Islands of Korean Peninsula: Focusing on the Case of Ulleung, Jeju, and Baengnyong Island)

  • 최근 미세먼지, O3 등의 대기오염물질에 대한 국민 관심이 증대되고, 대기질 개선을 위한 정부의 노력이 지속되고 있다. 특히 대기오염물질로 인한 경제적 피해와 국민 건강 위협이 증대되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 국가배경농도 측정 지점이 위치한 울릉도, 제주도, 백령도 3개의 도서 지역을 대상으로 청정 지역의 대기오염도와 기상조건을 분석하여, 각 지역의 2차 대기오염물질 기여도를 평가하고 지역 간 차이를 비교하였다. SO2, NO2, CO, O3, PM10, PM2.5 등 대기오염물질의 1시간 평균농도와 동일 시간대 풍속, 강수량, 일조시간 등의 기상조건을 활용하였다. 연구방법은 지역별 대기오염물질과 기상조건 간의 상관관계를 분석하고, SO2, NO2, CO 등 1차 생성물질을 독립변수로, PM10, PM2.5, O3 등 1차 생성물질이 포함된 2차 생성물질을 종속변수로 설정하였다. 국내외 선행연구 분석을 통해 대기질 영향요인을 탐색하고, 도서 지역의 기상조건을 통제하여 회귀분석을 수행함으로써 지역별 특성을 파악하였다. 종합하면 도서 지역의 대기질 측면에서 지역별 주요 영향요인과 기여도가 상이하여 오염발생 원인과 영향에 대한 지속적인 모니터링이 필요하다.

T-103 훈련기의 환기와 난방 시스템 개선에 관한 연구 (A Design and Application of the Ventilating and Heating System of T-103 Trainer Aircraft for Improvement)

  • In this paper, the ventilating and heating system of T-103 trainer aircraft were investigated and redesigned to improve its poor performance. The ventilation system of the trainer was designed to increase the mass flow rate of fresh air by using air intake valves. The flow-in air through the air intake valve is supplied to the cabin by the ram effect of aircraft and the propeller. And the additional heating system was installed to improve the temperature of the cabin inside. The wasted heat from the exhaust gas of the engines was used as heat source of the additional heating system by installing an heat exchanger around the exhaust nozzle. The additional fresh air and the heated air enter the cabin via two ducts mounted under the instrument panel and behind the pedal in the cabin. The additional ventilating and heating system can be controlled by the first pilot and the secondary pilot individually using the control knob equipped separately. After mounting the additional ventilating and heating system, evaluations such as inspection of parts and component, ground run-up test, in-flight test, user test, etc. were conducted. The result of the tests was sufficient to meet the requirements of the manuals, and the pilots were satisfied with the additionally mounted systems.

80 kW 초 저 NOx 단일 버너 연소로에서 NOx 감소를 위한 운전특성 연구 (Study on Operating Characteristics for NOx Reduction in Ultra Low NOx Burner Combustion Using 80 kW Furnace)

  • 본 연구는 80 kW급 단일버너 연소로에서 석탄 연소시 초저 NOx 버너 설계인자를 평가하기 위한 실험적 연구이다. 버너 설계 인자인 선회강도, 총 과잉 공기비, 버너 영역 과잉공기비, 1차/2차 산화제 비율, OFA 비율을 변경하여 총 81개 조건을 대상으로 실험을 수행 하였다. 실험 결과, 선회류가 약하면 연소로 출구에서 CO가 증가하고 연소로 내부 온도가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 선회류가 강하면 NOx가 증가하기 때문에 적절한 선회류 강도를 결정하는 것은 NOx를 줄이는 데 중요한 요소이다. 1차/2차 산화제의 비율 또한 중요한 요소이며, 생성 된 NOx의 양은 산화제의 비율에 따라 달라진다. 2차 산화제의 비율이 증가하면 연소 초기에 NOx 방출량이 증가하고, 측정 된 배출구 NOx가 증가하게 된다. 그러나, 2차 산화제 비율이 감소하면 화염이 길어지고 CO가 증가한다. 본 연구에 사용 된 연소 시스템은 적절한 조건이 만족 될 때 O2 6%를 기준으로 최소 NOx가 82 ppm 생성되는 것으로 확인 되었다. 본 실험에서 대상으로 한 버너는 연소용 공기를 석탄을 이송하는 1차공기 외에 2차공기로 하나의 산화제 유동만 사용하는 방식으로서 추후 3차 및 4차공기로 분할하여 화염형태 및 반응을 세밀하게 제어할 경우 추가적인 NOx 감소가 가능할 것으로 예상된다.

소각로에서의 연소가스 체류시간 (The residence time of gas in an incinerator)

  • The change of flue gas residence time with the location of air inlet in an incinerator is analysed. An independent numerical variable is the location of air inlet and dependant is the residence time of flue gas. The mean value of turbulence energy in a primary combustion chamber is also analysed. The flow field and the distribution of turbulence energy are investigated to evaluate their influence on the residence time of flue gas and the turbulence energy. As the position of secondary air inlet approaches to the top of primary combustion chamber, the residence time of gas and the turbulence energy become longer and larger respectively.

  • [ $CO_2$ ] and propane mixtures were chosen as promising alternative refrigerants and their performance potentials were evaluated experimentally in an air-conditioning system. Pure $CO_2$ and 85/15, 75/25 and 60/40 binary blends by the charged mass percentage of $CO_2/propane$ were selected as working fluids. The effect of the inlet temperature of the secondary fluids and degree of superheat on the cooling performance was tested and discussed. The charging amounts of refrigerants were adjusted to make the system show the maximum COP. Comparisons among different refrigerants were carried out on the same compressor speed basis for a given operating condition. In addition, the temperature gliding effect of zeotropic mixtures on the system performance were analyzed based on the drop-in test results.

  • In this paper a design procedure via computer-aided molding simulation is presented to optimize the air-trap locations in a speaker encloser of mobile phone. The molding flow simulation reveals that the race-tracking phenomenon is the dominant feature in the current mold design. In obtaining an optimal filling pattern, the local modifications of the wall thickness such as in a flow leader attachment are considered as the primary control factor, and both the gate position and the filling time become the secondary control factor. In the one-at-a-time approach, the last location to be filled in the mold cavity could be successfully moved to the extremities of the part, allowing a natural ventilation of entrapped air through the mold parting plane.

경사진 원형 수층에서의 자연대류 열전달 (Natural Convection Heat Transfer in Inclined Cylindrical Water Layers)

  • The effect of inclination angle on natural convection heat transfer has been studied for water layers. The range of the Raleigh number was from the subcritical value to 1.4${\times}$10$^{7}$ , and the range of the inclination angle, $\theta$, measured from the horizontal was 0$\leq$$\theta$$\leq$180$^{\circ}$. For horizontal water layers, present results agreed well with the results of previous investigators and also showed significant departures from the results of air layers in the turbulent regime. Inclined cylindrical water layers showed secondary maxima in heat transfer, whereas rectangular air layers showed continuous decline of Nusselt number.
