A Study on the Low Pressure Injection Molding of Automotive Seat-back Cover (자동차용 시트백 커버의 저압사출성형에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the injection molding process of automotive seat-back cover is analyzed in terms of simulation and of experiment. FE analysis was used to obtain molding conditions such as injection pressure, filling pattern, packing, shrinkage. Vacuum system for low pressure injection molding is developed in the experiment. Low pressure injection molded parts have been compared with conventional molded parts in terms of molding quality and mechanical properties. Based on the results, good product and the productivity improvement can be obtained in low pressure injection molding for automotive seat-back cover.

  • This paper describes a design and a verification of linear state observers for a motorized seat belt system to estimate state information such as angular velocity and load torque. The motorized seat belt system provides functions to protect passengers and improve passenger's convenience. To realize these functions, sensors which can measure an angular velocity and load torque are needed. By use of the linear state observer, state information can be estimated without sensors. The motorized seat belt system is analysed and represented as a state space model which contains load torque as an augmented state. By the developed state space model, a full and reduced order observer are designed and verified by experiments. The full and reduced order observer are also compared from points of view of execution time and noise robustness.

  • The safety-related accident in which the field operators of all sorts of industrial sites don't fasten the seat belt properly and which it generates is the tendency that it increases constantly every year. By sounding the announcement sound in case the operator did not fasten the seat belt and the person seat belt monitoring system proposed in this paper progressed the work the operator fastened the seat belt properly. In addition, at the same time with that, since the administrator monitored the seat belt wearing or no of the operators on a real time basis the safety-related accident which did not wear the safety equipment properly and which it generates was prevented.

  • This study focuses on the dimensions of tractor seat, which is one of the important link between the tractor and the operator based on ergonomic approach in the design process. 7 anthropometric data sets were introduced from Korean and US anthropometric database for adult male and female including length of buttock to back of knee (sitting), height of lowest point of shoulder blade (sitting), underside elbow height (sitting), and so on. Design factor for the tractor seat included dimensions of seating surface, dimensions of backrest surface, and the location of armrest. The shape of spinal curve and clothing correction should be also considered during the design process. The result of this study can be used as a guideline for the design process of tractor seat.

  • The university library plays the most important role in university. It provides the space and facilities to keep a variety of books and read them. One facility which is the most frequently used in a library is a reading room. In reality, it is the place where many college students spend most of their time. However, there are sometimes severe competitions to get a seat in a reading room, especially near the time of examinations. In order to resolve this situation and to increase the student‘s satisfaction, these days, many universities have installed a seat management system. In this paper, first, problems on the management of a reading room and student’s responses are reviewed. Then operational issues on the seat management systems are investigated and analyzed through simulations. Finally, discussions are followed to improve the effectiveness of a seat management system.

  • The users who use the wheelchair are confined to a wheelchair for a long time. Accordingly, the use of seat cushion for pressure distribution is very important in order to prevent a bedsore. Therefore, this paper provides useful information for design of seat cushion through statistical testing among nothing cushion, low cell type of air cushion, high cell type of air cushion, and jelly type of air cushion. It turned out that the jelly type and high cell type of air cushion have a serious effect on decision and design of seat cushion.

  • Manganese dioxide is the material which has a good characteristic property for a secondary cell. We have surveyed on rechargeable battery of zink-manganese dioxide using aqueous solution and we also surveyed on redox reversibility of zink-manganese dioxide for checking up possibility for a secondary cell. We have found out to be active for charging and discharging of those.

  • Recently, various systems are being developed for efficiently assignment and management of such resources as seats of airplane, train, bus, theater, and library. If it occurs the exceed demand for the limited seat resource, the system has much difficulty for the seat resource management and assignment efficiently. The existed allocation and management methods were processed using the centralization management of the limited seat resource. But these methods cannot consider the preference of each user, and these not support the fairness of usage for each person. Accordingly, we design and implement the seat assignment system based on the customer-driven for the seat management in the reading room of library, customer selects directly for the fairness of seat.

  • In order to prevent traffic accident, it is very important that the driver regulates the location of rear view mirror using the automatic seat regulation system which guarantees the maximum vision of the possibility for accuracy. In order to solve this problem the paper deals with the automatic seat control system which guarantees comfortable and safe seating and good visual field. Also a automatic car seat control algorithm has been developed to regulate the back mirror. Particularly, the automatic seat control algorithm function for the air bag operation in case of an accident has been added depending on passengers weight. Moreover when the driver passes a dangerous area an algorithm has been developed which gives the driver a naming sign and has been simulated in a ubiquitous environment. The simulation result proved that the Intelligence analysis for traffic accidents can reduce franc accidents more than 25% than the currently existing methods.
