건축의 경제적 요인과 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Economic Factors and Properties in Architecture)

  • Korea has recently experienced a large change in civil architecture and urban environment. However most of civil architectures and urbanization have been accomplished without considering economic efficiency and impact. This study focuses primarily on an analysis on the relationship between architecture and economic efficiency through the foreign and domestic case studies. Secondly, it is going to elucidate the economic properties on Korean architecture recently established. With perspectives of the analysis, we need to consider the following factors in the production of architecture; labor intensive industry, seasonal industry, strong and domestic demand.

中部地方 各地의 大氣汚染潛在力에 관한 硏究 (A Study on the Air Pollution Potential in the Central Part of Korea)

  • Air pollution potentials of the 7 cities in the central part of Korea were obtained with the mean wind speed within the mixed layer and the mixed layer height calculated by the Jump Model. Seasonal variation of the afternoon mixed layer height in Seoul area shows that low in winter and high in summer. Annual mean of the morning air pollution potential was lowest in Incheon and highest in Wonju. On the other hand annual mean of the afternoon air pollution potential was lowest in Incheon and highest in Chuncheon. Relatively low air pollution potential in Incheon can be explained as high mixed layer height and the effect of sea breeze.

  • This paper proposes the demand-side management(DSM) monitoring system of high efficient end-use appliances considering demand-side bidding (DSB). The effect on the market propagation of high efficient appliances by demand side bidding is analysed. Seasonal Peak demand forecasting and propagation capacity of these appliances are analysed.

부산광역시에서의 $NO_2$농도 특성 및 기상 영향인자 분석 (The Effect of Meteorological Factors on Variation and Temporal and Spatial Characteristics of $NO_2$ Concentration in Pusan Area)

  • The concentration of air pollution in a large city such as Pusan has been increased every years due to the increase on fuel consumption at factories and by vehicles as well as the gravitation of the population. In this study, we have analyzed $NO_2$ concentration data and various data of meteorological factors during 1994-1997 to investigate the characteristics of $NO_2$ concentration and how the high $NO_2$ concentration is generated under the meterological condition. According to the study, $NO_2$ peak concentration at most sites occured about 1h later after the rush hour. In the characteristics of emissions in sites, sinpyeong-dong was highly contributed to point source while the other sites were highly contributed to line source. The high $NO_2$ concentration had high generation probability when temperature contained typical seasonal characteristics and wind speed was low. Using the relationship between meteorological factors and the daily average $NO_2$ concentration, correlation analysis was practiced. the seasonal variation of the daily average $NO_2$ concentration was correlated with air temperature, solar radiation and wind speed, but the correlation coefficient between meteorological factors and the daily average $NO_2$ concentration was not so much high. Thus we have known that the daily average $NO_2$ concentration is partially explained by meteorological factors.

멜라토닌과 정신과 질환 (Melatonin in Psychiatric Disorders)

  • The secretion of melatonin exhibits a circadian rhythm entrained with the sleep-wake cycle. An alteration of this secretory rhythm has been found in various psychiatric disorders. This review summarizes the regulation of melatonin and its relationship to the circadian rhythm, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, seasonal affective disorder, Alzheimer's disease and autism. The review also looks at the effect of melatonin and melatonin agonist on sleep and symptoms of depression, bipolar disorder and seasonal affective disorder. In Alzheimer's disease, the circadian rhythm alterations are associated with the change of melatonin levels and melatonin receptors. It has been reported that melatonin and melatonin synthetic enzyme levels decrease in autism spectrum disorder.

서울 지역에서 분진에 대한 장기 추세 연구 (Long term trend for particular matters in Seoul)

  • 본 연구에서는 대기오염물질 중에서 주목을 받고 있는 분진 직경이 10마이크로미터 (micrometer) 이내의 것을 대상으로 실제로 증가하는지 감소하는지를 알아보기 위하여 교락 요인을 제외한 분진을 대상으로의 순수한 장기 추세를 연구하였다. 자료는 1996년에서 2000년까지 서울시의 기상 변수들 (최대기온, 평균습도, 최대풍속, 일사량)과 27지점에서 얻은 분진 직경이 10마이크로미터 이내의 것을 이용한다. 이 자료를 이용하여 분진과 비선형 관계를 보이는 기상 변수들의 회귀 스플라인을 이용하여 계절성을 통제한 일반화 부가모형을 세웠다. 그 결과 증가가 아닌 감소하는 순수 장기 추세를 얻을 수 있었다.

전동싸리 군락의 생장특성과 피음효과 (Effect of Shading and Growth Characteristics of Melilotus suaveolens Community)

  • Seasonal changes of nitrogen fixation and growth characteristics of Melilotus suaveolens population under different light conditions were quantitatively analyzed during growting period. Height growth of M. suaveolens population was promoted after April and the shade (site 2) showed 10-20% increase of height growth in compared with that of sunny (site 1). Seasonal changes of biomass were in creased after March, the biomass at site 1 attained 78.5% that of site 2 in May. Chlorophyll content was maintained high value from March to April but, Chlorophyll content of leaf at site 1 was decreased 11.7% compared to that of site 2 in May. The nitrogen content of each organ of M. suaveolens showed higher value in March and then decreased, the high nitrogen contents of reproductive organ were achieved at the flowering stage at site 1. The root nodule of M. suaveolens population appeared in March and showed maximum value in early June and decreased remarkably after July, the amount of nodule formation of M. suaveolens at site 2 showed higher than that of site 1. The nitrogen fixation activity of root nodule of M. suaveolens initiated with shoot growth and showed maximum value in mid April, and attained second peak in early June and then decreased after July. The total nitrogen fixation of the plant showed higher value at site 2 than that of site 1. From the overall results, M. suaveolens showed increased growth under half-shady, well ventilated barren soil than fertile sunny site.

Effect of Different Seasons on Cross-Bred Cow Milk Composition and Paneer Yield in Sub-Himalayan Region

  • The study was designed to evaluate the seasonal influences on cross-bred cow milk composition and paneer yield in Dhauladhar mountain range of sub-himalayan region. Fifty samples from each season were collected from a herd of $Jersey{\times}Red\;Sindhi{\times}Local$ cross-bred cows during summer (April-June), rainy (July-September) and winter (November-February) and analyzed for fat, total solids (TS) and solids not fat (SNF). Paneer was prepared by curdling milk at $85{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ with 2.5 per cent citric acid solution. Overall mean for fat, TS and SNF content of milk and paneer yield were 4.528, 13.310, 8.754 and 15.218 per cent respectively. SNF and TS content varied among seasons being highest in winter (8.983% and 13.639%) followed by summer (8.835% and 13.403%) and lowest in rainy season (8.444% and 12.888%). Paneer yield was lowest (14.792%) in rainy season and highest (15.501%) in winter season.
