인터넷쇼핑몰 및 사용자 유형에 적합한 e-Biz 전략 (E-Biz Strategy Based on the Types of Internet Shopping-Mall and User group)

  • This research studied E-Biz strategy based on the types of internet shopping-mall and user group. This study classified types of internet user into suffer group, searcher group, and confusion group according to navigation characteristics. The types of internet shopping-mall were divided into total directed mall, total mediated mall, special directed mall, and special mediated mall. The empirical study revealed that the intention of purchase has positive relationship with the assurance of e-SERVQUAL. Mediated type shopping-mall had higher market share than directed type in the use of internet shopping-mall. Suffer group was the target market of total mediated shopping-mall. Users of this group considered importantly the trust of e-SERVQUAL. Searcher group targeted special mediated shopping-mall. They had significant consideration to the responsiveness of e-SERVQUAL. Confusion group targeted direct shopping-mall. These groups had important consideration to the assurance of e-SERVQUAL.

Exploring the Effect of Mental Demand in Web Searches: A Pilot Study

  • This pilot study explored the effect of mental demand on a Web searcher's thoughts, emotions, efforts, and performance in Web searches in order to address whether or not there is any difference between searchers exposed to mental demand manipulation and searchers not exposed. Research data were collected via think-aloud protocol (TAP) with a dual-task in experiments and interviews with 10 subjects who participated in this study. For the searcher's thoughts, relevance judgment was found to be hindered by mental demand. For the searcher's emotions, the experimental group was more frustrated than the control group. With respect to the searcher's efforts, searchers for the experimental group with mental demand manipulation were more likely to spend more time, make fewer queries, and visit fewer pages but work harder to find more relevant information that they needed. Lastly, with regard to the searcher's performance, it is likely that performance was highly dependent upon the completion of the search tasks for both groups. The NASA-TLX six components and cognitive load scores of searchers did not make a significant difference in the outcome. The findings support the use of a dual-task methodology as a promising approach for the assessment of cognitive load induced by complex Web searches.

3GPP LTE 하향링크 시스템의 초기 셀 탐색기 SSS 검출 시 복잡도 최소화를 위한 CP 길이 선 결정 알고리즘 (Complexity Reduced CP Length Pre-decision Algorithm for SSS Detection at Initial Cell Searcher of 3GPP LTE Downlink System)

  • 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) LTE (Long Term Evolution) 시스템의 하양링크에서는 초기 동기화 및 셀 탐색 과정을 수행하기 위해 PSS (primary synchronization signal) 와 SSS (secondary synchronization signal) 시퀀스를 사용한다. 단말기는 PSS를 이용하여 슬롯 타이밍과 주파수 동기, 그리고 셀 ID를 획득한 후 SSS를 검출해야 하는데, 3GPP LTE에서 지원되는 2 종류의 CP (Cyclie Prefix) 길이로 인해 2번의 FFT를 수행하여 SSS reference 신호와의 cross-correlation을 이용해 무선 프라밍 타이밍과 셀 그룹 ID를 획득한다. 본 논문에서는 단말기의 셀 탐색기에서 SSS 검출 시 복잡도를 최소화하기 위해 extended CP로 전송한 경우 CP 길이를 선 결정하여 FFT와 cross-correlation의 계산 복잡도를 최대 50%까지 감소시키는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 매우 작은 성능 열화를 가지면서, 복잡도는 크게 감소하는 결과를 확인할 수 있었다.

정보검색자의 인지양식이 정보검색에 미치는 영향 (Field Dependence/ Independence and the Performance of the Online Searcher)

  • This study identified cognitive styles of online searchers in terms of Field Dependence (FD) and Field Independence (FI) dimension and determined whether searching performance was affected by FD / FI cognitive differences between online searchers and the extent to which searching performance was affected by the FD / FI dimension of cognitive style. This study used a quasi experimental design with 41 student subjects using the Lockheed DIALOG system and ERIC ONT AP database. Cognitive styles of student subjects were measured by using GEFT (Group Embedded Figure Test) and the subjects were divided into two cognitive groups- FD and FI based on the GEFT scores. Each subject was assigned two predetermined searches which had different search goals-a 'high precision search' and a 'high recall search.' Search performance of the two cognitive groups on the two problems was compared in order to see how these two groups responded to achieving different search goals in terms of search strategy, search inputs, and resulting search outputs. The major findings of this study were: 1. The pattern of approaching a search problem regardless of whether it was a high precision search or a high recall search was not significantly different between the two cognitive groups. 2. The FI group tended to use significantly more terms for the high recall search than the FD group but slightly less time than the FD group. However, significant differences in connect time between the two groups were not revealed. 3. For both search problems the FI group achieved a significantly higher success rate than the FD group. The FI group were significantly more successful searchers than the FD group. As for unit / cost, although the FI group were more cost effective than those of the FD group for both searches, these differences were too small to be statistically significant. 4. Mean differences of the search performance variables between the FD / FI groups were consistent across the two types of search questions. The FI group seemed to be equally effective for both types of search questions. In conclusion, the differences found in number of terms used and success rate between the two cognitive groups apparently resulted from different cognitive styles.

탐색자의 주제배경이 탐색효과에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effect of the Searcher색s Subject Background on the Result of Online Database Searches)

  • The Purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the searcher's subject background on the result of online database searches. To achieve this purpose, an experimental method was adopted. 180 students performed online searches in the three different libraries chosen for this study. The subjects were classified into two groups according to the scores of the test. Data concerning processes, behavior, and results of the searches performed by the subjects in real situations were gathered. Immediately following the searches, the extent of their subject background were assessed through interview. The search effect consists of the 4 elements: search efficiency (the number of terms used per unit time), the number of relevant documents, the number of relevant documents per unit time, precision ratio. The major findings of this study are summarized as belows. 1. The searchers with strong subject background has significantly higher efficiency in searches made. Group A (of those with strong subject back-ground) use more search terms per unit time than Group B (of those with weak subject background) do. 2. In the searches made by those with strong subject background, more relevant documents art retrieved. 3. In the searches made by those with strong subject background, more relevant documents per unit time are retrieved. 4. The searchers with strong subject background has significantly higher precision ratio in searches made. In the searches made by those with strong subject background, more relevant documents of documents retrieved are retrieved.

프로젝트 기반 수업이 과학개념 및 과학학습 동기에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Project-Based Learning on Science Concepts and Science Learning Motivation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 프로젝트 기반 수업을 활용한 과학수업이 과학개념 습득 및 과학학습동기에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구는 S초등학교에서 4학년 학생을 대상으로 하였으며 연구반 선정을 위해 담임교사에게 동의를 구하였다. 그리고 학생들에게는 본 연구의 목적과 취지를 설명하고 연구에 대한 동의를 받았다. 연구자가 직접 내방하여 연구반 1개반을 선정하였다. 연구반에 대해서는 담임교사를 실험처치자로 선정하여 프로젝트 기반 수업을 활용한 과학수업을 진행하였다. 연구기간을 설정하여 40분 단위 수업을 12주 동안 실시하였다. 실험처치 수업 후에는 사후 과학개념 검사, 과학학습동기 검사를 실시하고 자료를 수집 분석하여 정리하는 단계로 진행하였다. 이에 대한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 프로젝트 기반 수업을 활용한 과학수업이 과학개념 습득 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 프로젝트 기반 수업를 활용한 과학수업이 과학학습동기 함양에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 프로젝트 기반 수업 후 연구집단의 학습자들 인식 반응에서도 긍정적인 효과가 있었다.

온라인 정보탐색의 효과변인 분석 (An Analysis on the Factors Affectingy Online Search Effect)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the correlations between the amount of the online searcher's search experience and their search effect. In order to achieve this purpose, the 28 online searchers working at the chosen libraries and information centers have participated in the study as subjects. The subjects have been classified into the two types of cognitive style by Group Embedded Figure Test. As the result of the GEFT, two groups have been identified: the 15 Field Independance ( FI ) searchers and the 13 Field Dependance ( FD ) searchers. The subject's search experience consists of the 3 elements: disciplinary, training, and working experience. In order to get the data of these empirical elements, a questionnaire have been sent to the 28 subjects. An online searching request form prepared by a practical user was sent to all subjects, who conducted searches of the oversea databases through Dialog to retrieve what was requested. The resultant outcomes were collected and sent back to the user to evaluate relevance and pertinence of the search effect by the individual. In this study, the search effect has been divide into relevance and pertinence. The relevance has been then subdivided into the 3 elements : the number of the relevant documents, recall ratio, and the cost per a relevant document. The relevance has been subdivided into the 3 elements: the number of the pertinent documents, utility ratio, and the cost per a pertinent document. The correlations between the 3 elements of the subject's experience and the 6 elements of the search effect has been analysed in the FI and in the FD searchers separately. At the standard of the 0.01 significance level, findings and conclusions made in the study are summarised as follows : 1. There are strong correlations between the amount of training and the recall ratio, the number of the pertinent documents, and the utility ratio on the part of FI searchers. 2. There are strong correlations between the amount of working experience and the number of the relevant documents, the recall ratio on the part of FD searchers. However, there is also a significant converse correlation between the amount of working experience and the search cost per a pertinent document on the part of FD searchers. 3. The amount of working experience has stronger correlations with the number of the pertinent documents and the utility ratio on the part of FD searchers than the amount of training. 4. There is a strong correlation between the amount of training and the pertinence on both part of FI and FD searchers.
