Water is the origin of all things and has been standing as a symbol of eternity which neglectes birth and death, or time and space. We mankind , however, confronts the water pollution or moreover the situation threatening even our existence as the results of considering it as mere consumables without any study on its original meaning or nature. Now, we should search for the way to understand the substance of water and to use it in the course of nature, getting rid of the altitude of merely consuming it. Our traditional way of life is in harmony with the nature and water has been adopted in the space as the important element of the nature especially as per the theory of geomancy. Man can be inspired by the plasticity , motion, sound , and reflectivity of water adopted and harmonized in the space, and the concept such as water both of inner and outer space or hierachy of a microcosmis to be composed by the natural order which lines up a man-water-space.

The importance of technology assessment(TA) is increasingly emphasized, however, the question of what is TA is ambiguous yet. This article traces the concept of TA, and tries to identify the its meaning and current issues. It argues that the ambiguity of TA concept is not tragedy, but blessing in its growth. We came to know that one should consider for a successful TA some issues : institutional conditions, methodology, functions and timeliness. And they should also be considered in the TA-building process of Korea which is now on.

Semantic search promises to provide more accurate result than present-day keyword matching-based search by using the knowledge base represented logically. But, the ordinary users don't know well the complex formal query language and schema of the knowledge base. So, the system should interpret the meaning of user's keywords. In this paper, we describe a user query interpretation system for the semantic retrieval of multimedia contents. Our system is ontological knowledge base-driven in the sense that the interpretation process is integrated into a unified structure around a knowledge base, which is built on domain ontologies.

General CHMM vocabulary recognition system is model observation probability for vocabulary recognition of recognition rate's low. Used as the limiting unit is applied only to some problem in the phoneme model. Also, they have a problem that does not conform to the needs of the search range to meaning of the words in the vocabulary. Performs a phoneme recognition using GMM to improve these problems. We solve the problem according to the limited search words characterized by an improved k-means algorithm. Measure the effectiveness represented by the accuracy and reproducibility as compared to conventional system performance experiments. Performance test results accuracy is 83%p, and recall is 67%p.

Globalization has been accelerated in today's business environment. In this situation, the opening of economies can be either an opportunity or a treat for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) who have limited resources. Especially, managerial perception to the opening of economies carries on significant meaning because managerial perception determines future responses and strategies. Therefore, this study examined which innovation activities are related with SMEs' positive perception to the opening of economies. The activities of innovation are classified by types of generic strategy. Also, this study scrutinized the moderating effects of external search strategy and market entry strategy. In order to test hypotheses, this study analyzed data on Korean manufacturing firms collected in the Korean Innovation Survey (KIS). As a result, SMEs conducting innovation for differentiation strategy perceived the opening of economies positively. Search breadth and search depth moderated this relationship negatively and the first entry strategy moderated this relationship positively.

Animation is the aggregate of signs based on narrative. Algirdas Julien Greimas made structuralist frame and analyzed the meaning with it. Greimas's semiotics among the animated characters appearing in the conflict structure is suitable for the analysis and figure out the structure and meaning of the conflict which is hidden. Because Greimas Semiotic Square is suitable for apprehending meaning structure, it help for us to identify between characters and meaning that from character. Actantial Model help to apprehend power relations in structure between characters by axis of desire. This study search Greimas's semiotics and based on this analyse animation, . Also this study analyse conflicts between protagonist and antagonist with Greimas Semiotic Square after analysing narrative of like Vladimir Proof's folktale analysis. Unlike the protagonist's internal conflict, the antagonist's internal conflict moves the audience's emotions. Finally, this study analyse animation in the synchronic structure with the Actantial Model.

Patent information search is used for checking existence of earlier works. In patent information search, there are many reasons that fails to get appropriate information. This research proposes a method extracting alternative word candidates in order to minimize search failure due to keyword mismatch. Assuming that two words have similar meaning if they have similar co-occurrence words, the proposed method uses the concept of concentration, association word set, cosine similarity between association word sets and a ranking modification technique. Performance of the proposed method is evaluated using a manually extracted alternative word candidate list. Evaluation results show that the proposed method outperforms the document vector space model in recall.

Today, according to tremendous development of B2B e-commerce, B2B e-marketplaces which accomplish various types of transactions through a number of buyers and sellers on online are embossed importantly. However, buyers are unable to search correct products because of inconsistency of product information between buyers and sellers. This paper solved this problem as semantic web technology. Semantic Web is an extension of current Web in which information is given well-defined meaning, better enabling computers and people to work in cooperation. The Semantic Web aims at machine-processable information. Its underlying technologies are RDF, RDF Schema, and ontology as the shared formal conceptualization of particular domains. In this paper, we present an implementation of Semantic Web enabled search system for B2B E-Marketplace domains. The system exploits OWL as the standard ontology language proposed by W3C and the Jena which is a Semantic Web toolkit, namely a Java framework writing Semantic Web applications. Finally, we summarize our experiences and discuss future research topics.

This study has attempted to identify whether or not the effects of perceived burdensomeness and thwarted belongingness of the elderly on a suicidal ideation is mediated by the meaning in life and, during this process, examined if social participation known as a protective factor against elderly suicide has a moderating effect. For this, a total of 403 elderly men and women residing in Honam area have been selected as the subjects of the study, among whom self-report surveys have been conducted as to perceived burdensomeness, thwarted belongingness, meaning in life (presence of meaning/search for meaning) and social participation. The mediating analysis with the use of the process macro has identified the path where the perceived burdensomeness encourages a suicidal ideation through the presence of the meaning in life. On the other hand, the thwarted belongingness has turned out to be significant only in a direct path to a suicidal ideation. The analysis results of moderated mediating effects, including social participation have found that social participation does mediate the path to a suicidal ideation caused by the perceived burdensomeness through the presence of the meaning in life, verifying its moderated mediating effects.

The Web is evolving quantitatively into an explosive development. However, users usually have heavy burden of searching information because of the absence of contextual meaning on the Web. Due to an enormous amount of information, users have to endure for finding strong cohesive keywords by themselves and read each of the documents with enduring effort. This paper proposes an efficient method of searching more relative documents than current KEM-based searching systems on the Web by using contextual meaning. We designed a domain ontology on computer hardware, and a searching system which was searching those e-Learning objects. Owing to the Ontology-applied search system, information such as educational materials and related multimedia can be easily provided to the users. Further, learners could be informed of relationship of knowledge, e.g., class hierarchy, properties and values, and so on. The request results are semantically related to users' needs, and thus the system provides a learner-centered searching.
