Thermodynamic Behaviors of Carbonate Linking Group in Monomer and Dimer Liquid Crystals (단체량 및 이량체액정에서 나타나는 Carbonate 결합기의 열역학적거동)

  • The color filter os made in four methods ; dyeing, printing electrodisposition and pigment dispersed method. Among technologies for color filter manufacture, pigment-dispersed and hybrid method are dominant over all others in commercial manufacture of large scale, fine resolution color filter for liquid crystal display. In this paper to investigate the possibility of the color filter manufacture for LCD by screen printing method, we synthesyzed PVA/sbQ screen emulation for high resolution, estimated image of printed fine pattern and manufactured color filter by screen printing. Results of the study are as follow and found the screen printing method os useful and valid from it. 1. Fine pattern is formed due to photocyclodomerization of -C=C- bond at 342nm, on the other hand unexposured parts are removed in water. 2. sharpness and resolution of fine pattern is improved at mesh streching angle 22.5 and 45 than 0 degree. It is expected due to resistance between inks and mesh streching angles. 3. Spectral characteristics of sample inks were R(640nm), G(535nm), B(470nm), transmittance were R(92%), G(79%), B(70%) and chromaticity coordinate values were R(0.62,0.33), G(0.32,0.59), B(0.14,0.17)

Application of Screen Printing and Photo Lithography Multi-layer Metal Contact for Single Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells (단결정 실리콘 태양전지를 위한 screen printing 전극과 photo lithography 다층전극의 적용에 대한 연구)

  • Screen printing (SP) metal contact is typically applied to the solar cells for mass production. However, SP metal contact has low aspect ratio, low accuracy, hard control of the substrate penetration and unclean process. On the other hand, photo lithograpy (PL) metal contact can reduce defects by metal contact. In this investigation, PL metal contact was obtained the multi-layer structure of Ti/Pd/Ag by e-beam process. We applied SP metal contact and PL metal contact to single crystalline silicon solar cells, and demonstrated the difference of conversion efficiency. Because PL metal contact silicon solar cell has Jsc (short circuit current density) better than silicon solar cell applied SP metal contact.

  • Screen printing it one of the most popular methods for the fabrication of catalytic layer in electrode of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) due to its convenience and adaptability. This paper suggests an improved screen-printing method, which is rather simple suppressing the swelling trouble without additive process and competitive with very low Pt loading in comparison with the previous methods. Particularly, the gasket unified MEA made better performances than the other especially at high current area due to blocking effect on the gas leakage during the operation. These methods give us more simplified and faster fabrication chances.

  • A novel bumping process using solder bump maker (SBM) is developed for fine-pitch flip chip bonding. It features maskless screen printing process. A selective solder bumping mechanism without the mask is based on the material design of SBM. Maskless screen printing process can implement easily a fine-pitch, low-cost, and lead-free solder-on-pad (SoP) technology. Its another advantage is ternary or quaternary lead-free SoP can be formed easily. The process includes two main steps: one is the thermally activated aggregation of solder powder on the metal pads on a substrate and the other is the reflow of the deposited powder on the pads. Only a small quantity of solder powder adjacent to the pads can join the first step, so a quite uniform SoP array on the substrate can be easily obtained regardless of the pad configurations. Through this process, an SoP array on an organic substrate with a pitch of 130 ${\mu}m$ is, successfully, formed.

  • As the size of chip components and module decreases, new patteming method for fine line and geometry is needed. So far, in LTCC(Low Temperature Cofired Ceramic) process, screen printing method has been used generally. But screen printing method has some disadvantages as follows. First, the geometry including line, vias, etc. smaller than $100{\mu}m$ can't be evaluated easily. Second, the patterned dimension is different from designed value, which makes distortion in charactersitics of not only chip components but also modules. Thick film lithography has advantages of thick film screen printing process, low cost and thin film process, fine line feasibility. Using this method, the line with $30{\mu}m$ width and the geometry with expected dimension can be evaluated. In this study, the fine line with $35{\mu}m$ line/space is formed and the embedded capacitor with very small tolerance is developed using thick film lithography.

  • Pb$(Zr_{0.8}Ti_{0.2})TiO_3$ powder were prepared by the sol-gel method using a solution of Pb-acetate, Zr n-propoxide and Ti iso-propoxide. PZT thick film were fabricated by the screen printing method, and the structural and ferroelectric properties asafunting of the sintering temperature were studied. PZT film thickness, obtained by four screen printing, was approximately $70\sim90{\mu}m$. The relative dielectric constant and the dielectric loss of the PZT thick film sintered at $1050^{\circ}C$t were approximately 676 and 1.4%, respectively. The remanent polarization and the coercive field of the PZT thick film sintered at $1050^{\circ}C$ were $21.15{\mu}C/cm^2$ and 10.1 kV/cm, mapetively

  • This study aim to suggest how alter the korean traditional image design for umbrellas by sublimation transfer digital textile printing. Umbrellas are highly depend on design and made from polyester fiber which is proper item to utilize sublimation transfer digital textile printing. Sublimation transfer digital textile printing system can use computer system to create the delicate high dense images and one full layout through the hole umbrella. It can create distinctive style of design compare with former screen printing umbrella design. As a result of this study, Korean traditional images were adopted and recreated for umbrellas as the modern practical item. 7 of umbrella designs were developed and sample umbrellas could be produced in short period comparing with screen printing process. Through this study, as green printing process, sublimation transfer digital textile printing will be more applied to manufacture high quality textile products along with design development, thus it is expected as an alternative plan to leads growth of umbrella industries.

  • Finger electrodes on a crystalline silicon solar cell are required to be constructed as narrow and thick as possible in order to minimize shading losses and electrical resistance. The most common means to construct high-aspect ratio finger electrodes has been screen-printing, but it has difficulty achieving fine finger electrodes because the as-printed finger width is generally wider by 1.3-2.2 times the screen opening width. Consequently, it requires an extremely small screen opening (below $30{\mu}m$) in order to achieve a finger width below $40{\mu}m$. However, the use of such a small screen opening could result in various problems, such as high printing pressure, defective transport of silver paste, and high electrical resistance due to unfavorable mesh marks left on the finger electrodes. In this study, dispensing printing with a screw pump is introduced as an alternative to conventional screen-printing and its unique traits in the front side metallization of crystalline silicon solar cells is discussed.

Dyeing Properties Wood Dyes by Screen Printing (날염을 이용한 소목의 염색성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to confirm the possibility of screen printing with Natural dyes. The coloring matter such as sappan wood was used in order to obtain the colorant powder through the processes of extraction, low pressure concentration and the spray dry. After the screen printing on silk and cotton fabrics with colorant, K/S value changes of color and color fastness were measured. The main resets were as follows : 1. The viscosity of printing thickeners of sappan wood powder was about 15,200 cps, and the highest K/S value of the fabrics printed with sappan wood was obtained at 90$\pm$2$\^{C}$ of steaming temperature and 80 minutes of steaming time. 2. For the fabrics printed with sampan wood, adding of urea was not effective, since the more the concentration of urea increased, the more K/S values decreased. 3. For the natural dyes printing, the more the concentration of colorants increased, the more K/S values increased. In general, the K/S values of the printed fabrics were higher when treated with mordants rather than without mordants. Specifically, the λmax sappan wood was 520∼570 nm, and the K/S value was highest when treated with Cu mordant and lowest when treated with Sn. 4. Generally, the color fastness was relatively fair.

The Altering Ratio of the luminance of a Inorganic Powder EL Lamp That was made by Screen Printing Technique (스크린 인쇄 기법에 의해 제작된 분산형 무기 EL 램프의 휘도 변화율)

  • The inorganic powder EL lamp was made by screen printing technique with a phosphor ink and a dielectric ink. The thickness of a phosphor ink layer and a dielectric ink layer is $35{\mu}m$ and $54{\mu}m$ respectively. A increasing ratio of the luminance of inorganic powder EL lamp to be a 1P1PD-phosphor ink layer in which increased voltage at constant frequency is higher 12% than when increased frequency at constant voltage. It is higher 57% than when increased frequency at constant voltage that the rate of increase of the luminance of inorganic powder EL lamp to be a 2PD-phosphor ink layer in which increased voltage at constant frequency. Finally, when increased voltage at constant frequency, a increasing ratio of the luminance of inorganic powder EL lamp to be a 2PD-phosphor ink layer is higher about 40% than that to be a 1P1PD-phosphor ink layer.
