  • Eight types of thin composite panels were manufactured by press-lam and mat-forming process applied to optimum manufacturing condition, studied in former first research by author (1995). They were tested and compared with control boards on dimensional stability, internal bond strength, tensile strength, Screw withdrawal strength, and bending properties. These thin composite panels manufactured by mat-forming process were generally superior to those by press-lam in dimensional stability and mechanical properties. In the dimensional stability and mechanical properties of thin composite panels manufactured by mat-forming process, the thin composite panels (A and E type) composed of particle or sawdust core and veneer face with polyethylene film, were as good as those of common plywood (control board). Internal bond strength showed highest value in the thin composite panel(D type) which composed of particle core and polypropylene screen face with polyethylene film. The thin composite panels(G and H type) composed of sawdust or particle core and polypropylene screen face with polyethylene film by press-lam and mat-forming process, showed most highest value in dimensional stability and water absorption.

  • The effects of paste materials on field emission properties in a carbon nanotube(CNT) cathode were investigated for high-efficient field emission displays. The major components in CNT paste for screen printing were a metallic Ag-paste, a dielectric glass-frit and CNT ink. The emission current from the cathode by an electron tunneling effect increased with an increase in the dielectric material fraction in the CNT paste, which is related to an increase of field enhancement factor in Fowler-Nordheim equation. The surface treatment used, after soft baking of the screen-printed CNT films, greatly affected the decrease in the turn-on field in CNT cathode and the uniformity of emission sites over the entire CNT film area.

  • [ $(Ba,Sr,Ca)TiO_3$ ] powders, prepared by the sol-gel method, were mixed with organic vehicle and the BSCT thick films were fabricated by the screen printing techniques on alumina substrates. The dielectric properties were investigated for various composition ratio and $Nb_2O_5$ doping contents. All the BSCT thick films, sintered at $1420^{\circ}C$, showed the typical XRD patterns of a perovskite polycrystalline structure. The Curie temperature and the relative dielectric constant decreased with increasing Ca content and $Nb_2O_5$ doping amount. The relative dielectric constant, dielectric loss and tunability of the BSCT(50/40/10) thick films doped with 1.0wt% $Nb_2O_5$ were 1410, 0.65% and 17.29% respectively.

  • Plasma display panel is a potential candidate for HDTV, due to the fact hat the expansion of screen size is much easier using thick film technology. In this study, transparent dielectric materials using lead borosilicate glasses is developed, which satisfy the requirements of dielectrics for PDP. Paste is made of this glass composition. The paste has thixotropic behavior suitable for screen printing. The paste shows more thixotropic behavior as the particle size decrease. After firing, cross sectional area was analyzed by SEM. The void of fired thick film was removed using bimodal particle system. The dielectric showed good adhesion characteristics.

Alkali Volatilization in TV Screen Glass Melts

  • The alkali volatilization of TV screen glass melts with various $K_2$O/R$_2$O mole fraction was investigated by dependence of weight loss on time. The melt conductivity was also determined to evaluate relative alkali diffusion in melts. Based on the results of time dependence and compositional dependence of volatilization combining the results of conductivity, the rate determining process of the volatilization was suggested. From the viewpoint of the production and the application of TV glass it was also discussed a correlation between the dependence of properties on $K_2$O/R$_2$O and the present commercial composition.

  • $Pb(Zr_{0.3},Ti_{0.7})O_3$, $Pb(Zr_{0.3},Ti_{0.3})O_3$ powders were prepared by the sol-gel method and PZT heterolayered thick films were fabricated by the screen-printing method. The structural properties as a faction of the composition ration were studied. As a result of the differential thermal analysis (DTA), exothermic peak was observed at around $864^{\circ}C$ dne to the formation of the polycrystalline perovskite phase. The PZT heterolayered thick film sintered at $1050^{\circ}C$ for 10min showed the average grain size $1{\sim}1.4{\mu}m$. The average thickness of PZT heterolayered thick films, obained by $3{\sim}6times$ of screen-printing, was approximately $60{\sim}110{\mu}m$.

The structural and dielectric properties were investigated for various $Dy_2O_3$ doping contents. As a result of thermal analysis, the exothermic peak was observed at around $670^{\circ}C$ due to the formation of the polycrystalline perovskite phase. All BSCT thick films, sintered at $1420^{\circ}C$ for 2h, showed the typical XRD patterns of perovskite polycrystalline structure and no pyrochlore phase was observed.   • Photovoltaic solar cells are all in the incident because they are not converted into electrical energy, high-efficiency solar cells in order to reduce the loss of elements must be. Significant factor in the loss of solar cells, optical loss and electrical loss can be divided into. Optical losses occur when the sun will be joined on the surface of the reflection, the shadow loss due to electrodes, and the losses are in the solar wavelengths. Commercialization is currently the most common solar cells on the front of the light incident on the electrode is formed. Therefore, the shadow caused by the electrode to cover the dead area of the sun, due to factors that hinder the absorption of sunlight which is shadowing them and conversion efficiency of solar cells is the inhibition factor. These barriers to eliminate the electrode linewidth reduces the shadowing to reduce, but simply of the electrode line width is reduced electrode area by reducing the series resistance elevates this because to improve the electrode Aspect ratio(height/width) to increase Ag development of paste is required. In this study, aspect ratio of screen-printing method to increase the electrode Ag paste composition of the binder for the characterization of rheology in the shadow of the electrode by reducing the optical loss of the photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar cells to boost the performance measures was. Properties and printability of the paste, the binder resin sintered characteristics that affect the thermal properties are excellent with a good screen printability acrylic resin, ethyl cellulose, using a resin were evaluated. Prepared paste rheology properties, was formed to evaluate the electrode conductivity and aspect ratio.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a photomontage expression in order to express a characteristic personality and creativity of artists of effectively in fashion illustration. The results of this study were as follows : 1) Because of a fashion and a human body were the major subjects in fashion illustration, human body transformation and composition between a human body and heterogeneous objects by photomontage appeared with a lot of works. 2) Photomontage appeared with a parody in a truth recurrence differ from a visual art, a parody seemed to be a humor with recurrence image of the original and it appeared with the general public image and it is effective in message delivery. 3) It was a stopped screen. but photomontage was expressed through overlapping and reiteration was characteristic, and it appeared with movement. a direction, a speed and rhythm effectively. 4) One screen of general chapter was only to express limited meaning, but after screen of a lot of chapter, it was able to express that was borrowed and reconstructive with a lot of contents or different contents are more than before. 5) It is changed, and composited images have a multiple point of time, and it extend a space-time limit, visual limit and an expression enabled a multidimensional space-time. Moreover, photomontage neglects unique sincerity and fact of a photo by development and utilization of computer graphic. and it can get a screen effect to spread in the virtual world as abstraction and hyper-reality. Therefore, if various photomontage expression apply to fashion illustration works, it can overcome a limit of a visual expression. and it is able to become an important way for expanding a filed of expression and enhancement of a practical function gradually in fashion illustration

  • 최근 텔레비전 화면 구성에서 활용되고 있는 화면분할 기법은 영상의 다양성과 동시성을 전달하는 시각 커뮤니케이션의 기능적인 역할을 충족하고 있다. 또한 다양한 장르에서 활용되고 있는 화면분할 기법은 유행적 패턴의 약호의 작용으로 드러나고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 화면분할의 기법의 의미화 효과를 통한 장르별 특성을 살펴보고, 시각 커뮤니케이션의 기능적인 역할에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.
