  • Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of Enteromorpha powder supplementation on reproduction-related hormones and genes in the late laying period of Zi geese. Methods: A total of 312 (1-year-old) Zi geese with similar laying rate were randomly divided into 2 groups with 6 replicates each, each with 21 female geese and 5 male geese. The control group was fed with a basal diet and the test group was fed with a diet containing 3% Enteromorpha powder. The trial period lasted for 7 weeks. Results: Our results showed that the laying rate was improved in the test group at each week of trial (p<0.01), and the levels of estradiol in serum and prolactin in ovary were increased compared with the control group (p<0.05). Conclusion: Based on above results, Enteromorpha powder supplementation at 3% could promote reproductive performance during the late laying period of Zi geese.

  • Reflection(R($\omega$)), transmission(T($\omega$)) and loss(L($\omega$)) characteristics of multi-layer metamaterials are investigated experimentally in free space with the incident EM waves perpendicular to the substrate plane. The sample is made of split-ring resonators(SRRs) and wires which are the typical model of metamaterials. The R($\omega$) and T($\omega$) of multi-layer metamaterials have been calculated from the measured S-parameters. In this paper, we got the impedance-matched result according to the curves of R($\omega$), meanwhile the T($\omega$) decreased with increasing number of layers. At last, we attained the result that the L($\omega$) gets to nearly 98% around 8 GHz, with R($\omega$)=T($\omega$)=0. The design presented in this paper achieves experimented loss near unity.

  • Immunotherapy has revolutionized and opened a new paradigm for cancer treatment. In the era of immunotherapy and molecular targeted therapy, precision medicine has gained emphasis, and an early response assessment is a key element of this approach. Treatment response assessment for immunotherapy is challenging for radiologists because of the rapid development of immunotherapeutic agents, from immune checkpoint inhibitors to chimeric antigen receptor-T cells, with which many radiologists may not be familiar, and the atypical responses to therapy, such as pseudoprogression and hyperprogression. Therefore, new response assessment methods such as immune response assessment, functional/molecular imaging biomarkers, and artificial intelligence (including radiomics and machine learning approaches) have been developed and investigated. Radiologists should be aware of recent trends in immunotherapy development and new response assessment methods.
