  • In this paper, the design for a low noise amplifier with the EM simulation is presented. The ATF36077 pHEMT device is applied to design LNA for U-NII frequency band (5 GHz ~ 6 GHz). The matching networks have been designed by the only open ended stub in order to reduce parasitic effects generated from a via structure. Through EM simulator, the simulation result shows that the linear gain (@5.5 GHz) is over 10 dB, input return loss and output return loss (@ 5.5 GHz) are a below 10 dB respectively, and the 3rd order intercept point is about 17 dBm.

  • Purpose - There is little research on the market of foreign infant education materials. So, it is needed to deeply examine the development and preference factors of foreign infant education materials. Therefore, this study presents a future method and model for analyzing the important variables of buying foreign infant education materials. Research design, data, and methodology - The conjoint analysis method and model of this paper is used as follows. Conjoint analysis method is possible to derive the attributes to be analyzed through the model of the preferred factors, and then to derive the sub-attributes of the attributes. Results - This study derived preference attributes between brand benefit, equity (brand image, loyalty, awareness), distribution network (department store, specialty stores, discount store, internet mall), and service quality (tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy) in infant education materials conjoint model. Conclusions - Since the opening of the education market in Korea, parents have a high education level due to low birth rate. The advantages of the conjoint analysis method have been extended to the study of infant education materials. Based on this, this paper will identify important attributes that are considered in preference of foreign infant education materials and help to establish and implement future marketing strategies.

  • The purpose of this paper is to present the history of the research in mathematics education, its characteristic and some theories as its results in France. The french research in mathematics education really began with the inauguration of IREM in the institutional aspect, referring to Bachelard in the epistemological aspect and to Piaget in the psychological aspect. It aimed at appreciating the mathematics education as a independent science and focused on the theoretical research through its own object(didactic system) and its own method(didactic engineering). Therefore, it can be characterized by the dense and elaborate theoretical arguments. Consequently, it is known that four major theories in french mathematics education were developed: the theory of didactic situations by trousseau, the theory of didactic transposition by Chevallard, the theory of conceptual fields by Vergnaud, the theory of tool-object dialectic by Douady. Among them, this paper is focused on the situation of institutionalization and the structurization of milieu in the theory of Brousseau and the motive of didactic transposition and the didactic time in the theory of Chevallard. In that the french research in mathematics education has been founded on its own theoretical models, it may contribute to us who envy the basic theories of mathematics education.

  • Since the study of student's preconceptions and their effects on the learning of relevant subjects became an influential research area with high significance, the research area bas mainly been concerned by science educators. However, it was not until the year of 1983 that the area received recognition of various fields other than science education. The recognition was given by the Scientific American when it published a paper reporting a misconceptions in mechanics. Studies concerning misconceptions primarily interested in the following questions: What kinds of theoretical bases do preconceptions or misconceptions have? What are the sources of those conceptions? How are the misconceptions changed into or improved to scientific concepts? What are the efficient teaching methods appropriate for reducing the number of the misconceptions after instruction? Those questions are partly answered by experimental psychology and by philosophy of science, especially epistemology. Therefore, the paper will examine the theoretical background for and the sources of the misconceptions through literature review. Then, a few learning and teaching theories currently carrying great prestige in educational practice will be interpreted in terms of the knowledge of preconceptions or misconceptions.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this paper was to analyze research papers using movies and to introduce a practical instruction in cinema education for nurse educators in Korea. Method: The computerized database of PubMed, Google scholar, NDSL, CINAHL, and PsychINFO were used to generate relevant literature. Sixteen studies were published between 1990 and 2011 and were included in this review. These papers were analyzed using the matrix method suggested by Garrad (2007). Results: The first paper using movies in nursing education was performed in 1995. There were 16 studies on this issue and classified into one qualitative and 15 quantitative research. Because psychiatric mental health nursing was the main course, movies relating to mental illness were mainly considered. Most papers used questionnaires developed by researchers and discussions regarding the course. The key findings in these papers were all positive. Conclusion: The critics and syntheses in these papers emerged into seven overarching merits of cinema education and that lead to conduct cinema education to deepen students' understanding and to evoke empathy, critical thinking, entertainment, and intimacy. In addition, cinema education was safe and economical. This study recommends discovering suitable films and developments in both instruction process and educational evaluation tools.
