  • Cross-border e-commerce has emerged as a crucial force in stabilizing China's foreign trade, driving the transformation and upgrade of China's foreign trade, and contributing to global economic development and stability. As a result, promoting the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce has become a common challenge within the Chinese industry. However, with the rapid growth of cross-border e-commerce, it faces new phenomena and challenges, such as a mix of quality, fierce competition, and price competition. Brands serve as distinguishing markers for identifying entities, and brand building is a prudent choice for achieving high-quality development in cross-border e-commerce. This article utilizes brand theory, employing a combined qualitative and quantitative approach, with a specific focus on key elements within the operations of cross-border e-commerce enterprises. Through an analysis of the key elements influencing the formation and development of brands within the internal operations of Chinese cross-border e-commerce enterprises, it investigates their internal formation mechanisms and assesses the significance of these critical factors in influencing brand formation. The research process is based on data from overseas consumers, conducting empirical analysis, ultimately providing certain guidance for brand development in cross-border e-commerce enterprises.

  • Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for a large proportion of the total number of enterprises in many countries. The development of SMEs has contributed to job creation and economic benefits. Every government has formulated active diversification strategies to promote the export market of SMEs, but the performance of export capabilities remains insufficient. The primary purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of export credit insurance in promoting SME export performance in Canada. Using data from 2008-2017, the augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) model to test the stationarity of the concerned variables and the error correction model (ECM) and autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) cointegration test to empirically investigate the cointegration relationship between the research targets. The results represent the positive and critical impact of export relative price and domestic demand pressure on Canada's export performance, and the negative impact of the export volume index at a significant level. Regrettably, the impact of export credit insurance on the export performance of Canadian SMEs is considered exaggerated overall. In view of this result, it is necessary for the Canadian government to enact policies based on the current market status. And enhance confidence among SMEs to begin exports and diversify their markets rather than focusing only on the domestic or US market, especially given the impact of COVID-19. From the case of Canada, Korean government can attempt to learn from them to conduct more efficient strategies for SMEs.

  • For the autoencoder (AE) implemented as a construction component, this paper uses the method of greedy layer-by-layer pre-training without supervision to construct the stacked autoencoder (SAE) to extract the abstract features of the original input data, which is regarded as the input of the logistic regression (LR) model, after which the click-through rate (CTR) of the user to the advertisement under the contextual environment can be obtained. These experiments show that, compared with the usual logistic regression model and support vector regression model used in the field of predicting the advertising CTR in the industry, the SAE-LR model has a relatively large promotion in the AUC value. Based on the improvement of accuracy of advertising CTR prediction, the enterprises can accurately understand and have cognition for the needs of their customers, which promotes the multi-path development with high efficiency and low cost under the condition of internet finance.

  • Based on innovative technologies and new start-up ideas, startups have been actively researched on the entrepreneurship needed to strengthen the organization's capabilities and generate results in the start-up process. This study studied the entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of startups in the Philippines and the financial and non-financial performance of enterprises. This study carried out not only the entrepreneurial orientation to the performance of Filipino startups but also the role of social capital as parameters in the performance of enterprises. The empirical research was completed for 93 Philippine startups and the suitability of the research model was evaluated with a PLS-based structural equation model. The results of the study first confirmed that the enterprise orientation of Philippine startups has a positive impact on both financial and non-financial performance of the enterprises. Second, the entrepreneurial orientation of Philippine startups has been shown to have a positive effect on both the structural, cognitive and relational dimensions of social capital. Third, it was found that the relevant dimensions of social capital mediated both the corporate orientation and the relationship between the financial and non-financial performance of the entity. Entrepreneurial orientation has been confirmed to be directly or indirectly affecting the performance of startups through social capital. These findings reaffirmed that entrepreneurial orientation is still a valid important factor in developing countries as well as in countries such as Korea and the United States. Based on this study, we have identified the need for research from a more integrated perspective, such as the concept of strategic orientation. Finally, practical implications were presented to reflect the findings analyzed.

  • Given the further promotion of economic globalization, China's financial market has also expanded. However, at present, this market faces substantial risks. The main financial and economic risks in China are in the areas of policy, credit, exchange rates, accounting, and interest rates. The current status of China's financial market is as follows: insufficient attention from upper management; insufficient innovation in the development of the financial economy; and lack of a sound financial and economic risk protection system. To further understand the current situation of China's financial market, we conducted a questionnaire survey on the financial market and reached the following conclusions. A comprehensive enterprise questionnaire from the government's perspective, the enterprise's perspective and the individual's perspective showed that the following problems exist in the financial and economic risk prevention aspects of big data and Internet of Things in China. The political system at the country's grassroots level is not comprehensive enough. The legal regulatory system is not comprehensive enough, leading to serious incidents of loan fraud. The top management of enterprises does not pay enough attention to financial risk prevention. Therefore, we constructed a financial and economic risk prevention model based on big data and Internet of Things that has effective preventive capabilities for both enterprises and individuals. The concept reflected in the model is to obtain data through Internet of Things, use big data for screening, and then pass these data to the big data analysis system at the grassroots level for analysis. The data initially screened as big data are analyzed in depth, and we obtain the original data that can be used to make decisions. Finally, we put forward the corresponding opinions, and their main contents represent the following points: the key is to build a sound national financial and economic risk prevention and assessment system, the guarantee is to strengthen the supervision of national financial risks, and the purpose is to promote the marketization of financial interest rates.

  • Traditionally social problems had been largely left to be handled by non-profit organizations, not because of lack of interests in social causes but mostly because of lack of innovative ideas to solve them in commercially viable ways. This market failure has recently been fixed by social enterprises, which manage to provide both solutions for social issues and commercially viable business models. As a result, we have been witnessing a sudden spike of public interests in these social enterprises as well as a call for empirical investigation on social enterprises by prior studies. However, empirically investigating a social enterprise has been a challenging endeavor mostly due to the insufficient number of successful social enterprises. Answering to the call in this study, we empirically investigate Goyohan Taxi, a successful social enterprise that partners with visually impaired cabdrivers and offers a taxi service, by both longitudinally interviewing the founder and adopting in vivo observation throughout the entrepreneurial journey of Goyohan Taxi. Based on the single case study method, we find that Goyohan Taxi adopts two distinctive decision-making mechanisms, the de-escalation of commitment and the orthogonality of commercial and social goals. Although generalizability of the our finding is minimal due to the limitation of single case study method, our finding contributes to the research of social entrepreneurship by offering new avenue of research in decision-making process of social entrepreneurs.

  • Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) is an enterprise-scale IT architecture for linking software resources available on the network. SOA is believed to become the future enterprise solution that promises the agility and flexibility by integrating business processes through composition of the software services across enterprises. The first step for SOA construction is to identify the services. In this paper, we present a process-based service identification methodology for SOA through a case study of an IT company. Our methodology is composed of three steps: Processes (business & technical processes) analysis and systems analysis, Service candidates selection, and Service evaluation and construction planning. This framework would be practical and could be accepted to other organizations as it has been developed through the real case.
