Methods: Data was collected from a survey of 140 nursing students using self-reported questionnaires. The data was analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistic 25.0. The mediating effect of unconditional self-acceptance on the relationship between the subject's life stress and depression was analyzed using Baron and Kenny's method. In addition, the Sobel test was conducted to determine the significance of the mediating effect. Results: The regression model explained 43% of the variance in nursing students' depression. Significant factors were task-related life stress, unconditional self acceptance, and academic achievement. Unconditional self acceptance had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between nursing students' task-related life stress and depression. Nurse educators are being encouraged to intergrated the role of faculty practice into the role expectations of the education institutes. Schools of nursing are faced with challenge of the faculty who wishes to adopt facilitating practical role. Also directors of nursing department in hospitals point out the lack of competences for nursing care of new graduated nurse. This survey study was conducted to clarify the factors that faculty who engages on practice in the clinical teaching are to facilitate or inhibit. In this study, 55 head nurses of university hospital and 30 professors of nursing school were assigned to complete the questionnaire. Results of this study are as follows : 1) Head nurse : The most actively participated nursing activities in student's clinical teaching are medication, injection, vital sign checking and bed making. The problems of clinical leaching are lack of direct care of Professors, overloaded work of head nurses, passive learning attitudes of nursing students and less priority about clinical teaching of academic administrator's perception. 2) Nursing professor Facilitators of faculty practices are negative perception about clinical practice of both nursing professor and academic administrator. Inhibitors of faculty practice are negligence of the clinical teaching, lack of the practicing capability and lack of administration system on practical education by head of the school. There, following strategies are suggested for facilitating faculty practice : 1. Faculty practice focused on clinical teaching must be emphasized for academic administration. 2. Nurse educators must keep continuing clinical practice in their specific area. 3. Collaboration between school of nursing and hospital promotes effectiveness of the clinical practice for nursing students.
Purpose: This study explored the degree of internet addiction and its influencing factors in lower grade elementary school children in rural areas. Methods: Subjects included 1,137 elementary school children. A structured questionnaire consisting of questions internet addiction, family function and school life satisfaction was used for data collection. Descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, ANOVA and Correlation and Regression were performed using a SPSS program. Results: Among the subjects, 85.8% were regular users, 8.1% were potential risk users, and 6.1% were high-risk users. Career of internet use, daily internet access time, the number of conversations per week, the number of times spent eating out and traveling with parents within the last month and activities with friends, and satisfaction on school life differed significantly according to the degree of internet addiction. Finally, among the factors studied, daily internet access time, conversations within family, activities with friends and school life satisfaction in children in early elementary school was 20.7% of the explanatory power of the subjects' degree of internet addiction, collectively. Conclusion: Use of the internet by early elementary school children should be monitored and strategies to promote familial conversations, activities with peers and school life satisfaction should be developed.
Purpose: This study aims to examine how elementary, middle and high school health teachers in Gyeonggi province react to infectious disease like MERS. Methods: This is a descriptive study using a convenience sample of 1,267 school health teachers. Results: When MERS was an epidemic, school health teachers who took the 'leading' role were 92.4%. A school heath teacher's countermeasures against infectious diseases showed a high score during MERS outbreak (3.81) compared to regular days (3.59). Conclusion: Based on such results, it has been determined that schools need to keep two types of procedures manual, such as 'countermeasures on a regular basis' and 'countermeasures in the event of a pandemic disease outbreak' manual in the staff offices so that anyone can view them at any time. It is necessary to prepare regulations to strengthen their authority so that school health teachers can take the role of control tower, in a professional capacity, when communicable disease is spreading. In order to prevent any confusion and chaos, there should be a unitary reporting system at each school when dealing with an epidemic. School health teachers need to get continuous training to reinforce their abilities to react to communicable diseases.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships between short sleep, obesity, and screen time. Methods: Data were obtained from a survey using a sample of 1,166 academic, and 597 vocational high school students. A structured questionnaire was used to assess demographics, hours spent in sleep, TV viewing, internet usage, and game playing. Obesity was determined using the body mass index. Descriptive statistics, Cochran Mantel Haenszel Chi-square test, and multiple logistic regression with dummy variables were performed. Results: Short sleep (<8 hours/day) was significantly related to obesity, not in academic school students, but in vocational school students. Academic high school students who had enough sleep (${\geq}8$ hours/day), had more time spent on TV viewing, internet usage, and game playing. Similar results were found in vocational high school students except for internet use. Interestingly, students with better school performance spent significantly less time in TV viewing, internet usage, and game playing, and therefore had a lower risk of obesity in academic school students. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between short sleep and obesity that was found only in vocational high school students. The relationship between short sleep and screen time was not significant in Korean high school students.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the effects of a peer gatekeeper training program on existential spiritual well-being, interpersonal relationship with friends, and suicide probability for middle school students. Methods: The participants were fifty students who were at a vocational middle school in D city from october 13, 2012 to november 10, 2012. To test the effects of the peer gatekeeper training program, the participants were divided into two groups in the way of matching distribution, an experimental group(24) and a control group(26). Data were analyzed by Chi-square test, t-test, and Fisher exact probability test using the SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. Results: After attending the peer gatekeeper training program, significant differences between the experimental group and the control group were found in existential spiritual well-being(t=2.80, p=.007) and interpersonal relationship with friends scores(t=2.67, p=.010). However, there was no statistically significant difference in suicide probability between the two groups. Conclusion: The results indicate that the peer gatekeeper training program enhance existential spiritual well-being and interpersonal relationship with friends of middle school students. Therefore, this program could be a good strategy that teachers and community mental health nurses can use for suicide prevention of middle school students.
