Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the contraceptive knowledge, self-efficacy according to the career tract of high school female students. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional, correlational design using an exploratory survey methodology through self-reported questionnaires. The questionnaires were administered to 369 high school female students using a convenience sampling. Results: In the experience of sexual behaviors(grasping hand, hugging, petting, deep petting, sexual intercourse), technical female high school students showed more experiences than female high school students. In the contraceptive knowledge, the score of high school students' contraceptive knowledge was higher than technical female high school students. In the contraceptive self-efficacy, there was not a significant difference between the technical female high school students and female high school students. In the female high school students, there were significant differences in the contraceptive knowledge according to grade, academic record, sex education experience and there were significant differences in the contraceptive self-efficacy according to grade, academic record, parents' attitude about acquaintance of the opposite sex. In the technical female high school students, there was not significant difference in the contraceptive knowledge according to demographic, sexual behavior, and contraceptive related characteristics but there were significant differences in the contraceptive self-efficacy according to grade, parents' attitude about acquaintance of the opposite sex, contraceptive education experience at school. There was positive relationship between contraceptive knowledge and contraceptive self-efficacy. Conclusion: Further research is needed to identify the prevalence rate of contraceptive attitude using more reliable variables. A sex education program should be developed for promoting use of contraceptive measure and formation of positive contraceptive attitude among high school female students.
Purpose: This study was to identify the types and characteristics of health problems of middle school students in Gangwondo. Methods: The subjects of the study were 11 middle schools from 47 schools with nurse teachers in Gangwondo. The anecdotal records of the school health clinics were collected from March to December in 1998 with the agreement of nurse teachers of the schools. Results: 71.0% of the middle students visited the school health care clinics once or more than once. The mean frequency of health problems was 2.03 times per one year. The rate of health problems did not show any statistical differences by sex, school location, age, the day of the week and weather. However, there were statistical differences of the rate by month. The highest rate was showed in September, followed by June and April (F=2.52, p=0.01). Health problems were classified into 11 types. Gastrointestinal illness showed the largest proportion (60.6%). The oral illness showed statistical differences among the location of school, between municipal and rural area (t=-2.97, p=0.016). There were 411 types of signs and symptoms recorded. Among them, headache was showed the highest proportion with 2,122 cases (11.2%). Conclusion : The incidence rate of health problems was higher than that of earlier studies. It showed that the incidence rates and the types of diseasps in middle school students were different by school locations, characteristics of students, and months. To improve the qualities of primary cares in school health services, the reformed and unified anecdotal record system and the standardized guidelines for primary care are necessary.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception of records for reading activities in high schools and to make a suggestion for improvement of reading activities records. Data for 120 high school students were collected and analyzed for this study. This study showed negative response results in terms of the satisfaction of the 'reading activity situation' record, the necessity of the reading activity record, and the method of recording the reading activity. It is, however, necessary to improve the current recording method to invigorate high school students' reading activities. Since it is not easy to identify students' development in reading by the titles which they provides for the reading activity records, a variety of reading activities need to be recorded for understanding students' development process and interaction activities with teachers. It is expected that the findings in this study will be significant data to improve evaluation methods of reading activities for college admission and to cultivate proper reading culture in high schools.
Purpose: This study was done to compare factors influencing children's self-esteem between two parent families and single parent families. Methods: The participants were 692 children aged 11 to 13 yr (388 in two parent families and 304 in single parent families) recruited from 20 community agencies and 5 elementary schools in Gyeonggi Province and Seoul City, South Korea. Data were collected from May to July, 2007 using a survey questionnaire containing items on self-esteem, internal control, problematic behavior, school record, family hardiness, parent-child communication and social support. The data were analyzed using SPSS 15.0 program and factors affecting children's self-esteem were analyzed by stepwise multiple regression. Results: Scores for the study variables were significantly different between the two groups. The factors influencing children's self-esteem were also different according to family type. For two parent families, internal control, problematic behavior, school record, and parent-child communication significantly predicted the level of self-esteem (adjusted $R^2$=.505, p<.001). For single parent families, social support, family hardiness, internal control, problematic behavior, school record, and parent-child communication significantly predicted the level of self-esteem (adjusted $R^2$=.444, p<.001). Conclusion: Nurse working with children should consider family type-specific factors influencing their self-esteem.

Objectives: The concept of natural head position (NHP) was first introduced by Broca in 1862, and was described as a person's stable physiologic position "when a man is standing and his visual axis is horizontal." NHP has been used routinely for clinical examination; however, a patient's head position is random during cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) acquisition. To solve this problem, we developed an accelerometer to record patients' NHP and reproduce them for CBCT images. In this study, we also tested the accuracy and reproducibility of our accelerometer. Materials and Methods: A total of 15 subjects participated in this study. We invented an accelerometer that measured acceleration on three axes and that could record roll and pitch calculations. Recorded roll and pitch data for each NHP were applied to a reoriented virtual image using three-dimensional (3D) imaging software. The data between the 3D models and the clinical photos were statistically analyzed side by side. Paired t-tests were used to statistically analyze the measurements. Results: The average difference in the angles between the clinical photograph and the 3D model was $0.04^{\circ}$ for roll and $0.29^{\circ}$ for pitch. The paired t-tests for the roll data (P=0.781) and the pitch data (P=0.169) showed no significant difference between the clinical photographs and the 3D model (P>0.05). Conclusion: By overcoming the limitations of previous NHP-recording techniques, our new method can accurately record patient NHP in a time-efficient manner. Our method can also accurately transfer the NHP to a 3D virtual model.

Time is important in children's lives since their preschool years. However, previous studies indicate that many children struggle with the acquisition of time concepts. Also teachers do not know how to help them. This study aims to investigate elementary school students' understanding about time and induce its educational implications. To do this, about 130 children from first to fifth grades were tested for their ability to recognize(read and record) the analogue and digital times and to solve elapsed-time problems. The results showed that even first graders were able to read and record the minute times on digital clocks. And second graders were able to read and record the minute times on analogue clocks. Therefore, the ability to recognize analogue times was mastered by second grade. In case of the elapsed-time problems, there was statistically significant difference according to school years or types of problems. Students were successful in solving simple problems. However, the problems that include regrouping hour and minute remained difficult even for the older children. Based on these results, we made a few suggestions for teaching practice about time.
A fast foot of information communication technology is appearing as expansion of prompt administrative service desire and national participation desire regarding administration. This is following again by government innovation and demand of customer-oriented governmental implementation with information technology. The Ministries of Education and Human Resources Development proceeded with National Education Information System(NEIS) for the aim of educational informatization at a highest global level. NEIS that was operated from 2003 established a system in Educational Offices in 16 cities/province and the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development, and connected all educational administration organizations and primary and middle schools with Internet. Thus, NEIS processes electronically the general administration affairs in educational administration organizations each unit school. The NEIS school affairs business system that is newly enforced is producing an important documentation (of semi-permanent level) such as personal information and grade of students including School Human Document with electronic methods. However, we need to guarantee authenticity, integrity, reliability and usability of documentation because school affairs business system is producing important documentation under poor circumstances. According to this necessity, school affairs business system analyzed how many a record management function includes by the ISO 15489 that was an international record managerial standard. On the basis of these analyses, I will present a plan for management of a school documentation in this study. These researches are meaningful in electronically analyzing a record management function of the National Education Information System(NEIS) and in documentarily approaching management plan. I expect theses researches to be able to used as useful data for documental management plan preparations regarding a productive documentation of all kinds of business systems using in public institutions as well as National Education Information System(NEIS).

Objectives: Using a PHR(Personal Health Record) is very important for the management of chronic disease and health. The young age group in this study was asked to pretend that they were members in the old age group (adult group here after) in order to investigate the recognition level differences in such conditions. Methods: We conducted face to face surveys with two age groups. 131 Adults and 398 University students, from May 11 to 22 in 2009. The questionnaires were composed of 18 items. Results & Conclusion: Adults replied more favorably than University students in using PHR willingness(University group 3.3score, Adults 3.7score) and recommendation(university 3.1score, Adults 3.8score). Adults liked paper PHR (63.2%), whereas, University students favored electronic Personal Health Record (71.1%). University students were highly concerned about disclosing the information(4.5score) of their PHR. They thought the appropriate time of education for PHR is high school or University degree. Therefore, in the future, it is vital that a PHR for young age group should be begun in early education and that an ePHR should be developed.

1. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to find out the growth pattern according to Sasang Constitution. 2. Methods: One hundred forty seven students in the first grade of high school were classified into three groups(So-yangin, So-eumin, Tae-eumin) by QSCC II. We obtained the growth distance curve and growth rate, annual increment based on the Health Record according to Sasang Constitution. Health Record ranged from the first grade of the elementary school to the first grade of high school. And we calculated the Body mass index(BMI) and Mid-parential height(MPH). 3. Results: In case of Male, So-eumin and Tae-eumin showed linear growth patterns, but So-yangin showed rapid growth from 13 to 14. In case of Female, all of the groups showed similar growth pattern. But Tae-eumin showed a more growth from 8 to 9 than So-yangin groups. 4. Conclusions: Growth Pattern seemed to be different according to Sasang Constitution.

The wireless body area networks (WBANs) consist of wearable computing devices and can support various healthcare-related applications. There exist two crucial issues when WBANs are utilized for healthcare applications. One is the protection of the sensitive biometric data transmitted over the insecure wireless channels. The other is the design of effective medical management mechanisms. In this paper, a secure medical information management system is proposed and implemented on a TinyOS-based WBAN test bed to simultaneously address these two issues. In this system, the electronic medical record (EMR) is bound to the biometric data with a novel fragile zero-watermarking scheme based on the modified visual secret sharing (MVSS). In this manner, the EMR can be utilized not only for medical management but also for data integrity checking. Additionally, both the biometric data and the EMR are encrypted, and the EMR is further protected by the MVSS. Our analysis and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system not only protects the confidentialities of both the biometric data and the EMR but also offers reliable patient information authentication, explicit healthcare operation verification and undeniable doctor liability identification for WBANs.
