기후변화 교육 방안 개발: 중학교 교육과정에서 적용가능한 방안을 중심으로 (Development of Climate Change Education Plan: Focus on Applicable Plan of Middle School Curriculum)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a middle school science climate change education plan. The detailed contents of the study are as follows: First, a research study was conducted for understanding climate change and the direction and contents of the climate change education were set up. Second, the climate change education plan was prepared. The middle school climate change education plan were arranged through research study. The results of the study are as follows: First, the direction and contents of the climate change education were arranged. The direction of the climate change education was arranged to reflect the global science education system, sustainable development education, and youth leadership. Second, the middle school climate change education plan was arranged. The middle school climate change education plan includes a course of study and creative experience program. The plan for the course of study focused intensely on scientific study.

학교 기후 변화 교육의 현황과 과제 (The Current State and Tasks of School Climate Change Education)

  • Even though climate change is visibly proceeding and public concern about climate change is increasing both nationally and internationally, teenagers' and students' perception of climate change is relatively low in Korea. Since climate change is a problem with long-term effects, it is young people including children and juveniles of the current generation and future generations who are more affected by climate change. They are the most interested party who should know why climate change happens, what kind of impacts will be given, and how to respond to the problem. Based on the aforementioned concern, this study aims to explore the extent and contents of school education with regard to climate change in Korea as well as in other advanced countries and to provide policy suggestions. This study finds that school climate change education requires consideration of multiple aspects including reorganization of school curriculum, revitalization of related programs by school, expansion of teachers' training chances, in which multiple institutions such as the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Offices of Education are related and, consequently, the activation of climate change education program is by no means simple. Therefore, for effective climate change education in schools, cooperation and coordination of related institutions are essential, along with development of diverse school education curriculums and programs and training programs for teachers.

중학교 과학과 기후변화 교육 프로그램 개발과 적용 (Development and Application of Climate Change Education Program in Middle School Science)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 중학생들의 기후변화에 대한 이해 증진과 미래의 기후변화에 대한 예측을 통해 기후변화에 대응하고 실천할 수 있는 능력을 길러 주기 위한 중학교 과학과 기후변화 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 그 효과를 분석하는 것이다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학교 과학과 교과시간을 위한 기후변화 교육 프로그램이 개발되었다. 중학교 과학과 기후변화 교육 프로그램은 8개의 주제가 기후변화의 현상과 원인, 영향 및 대응방안 등의 교육내용을 중심으로 중학교 교과 교육과정에 활용될 수 있도록 개발되었으며, 기후변화가 가지는 지구시스템 과학 교육의 특성과 지속가능 발전 교육의 통합적인 특성을 반영하도록 개발하였다. 둘째, 개발된 중학교 과학과 기후변화 교육 프로그램을 적용하여 효과를 분석하였다. 효과를 분석해 본 결과, 중학교 과학과 기후변화 교육프로그램은 학생들의 기후변화에 대한 지식 이해 수준 및 기후변화에 대한 인식 및 태도, 실천의지의 향상에 기여했음을 보여주었다.

  • There is no doubt that the school health education in school health services is the most important component. But the concept and scope of the school health education is still not recognized and accepted satisfactorily in Korea. It is generally accepted that health education is a process of changing of attitude and behavior forward health practice. The term attitude refers to certain regularities on the part of an individual in feelings, thoughts, and predispositions to act toward some aspect of his environment. Attitudes have three components: affective, cognitive, and behavioral. The strategies of attitude change in school health education consist of incentive, justification, and coersion. In this study I explained reinforcement and motivation as the strategies of attitude change. The attitude change is not built in a day. When the teachers give the pupils knowledge, comprehension, or skill through school health education proper to each stage, then the attitude change will be realized.

물리변화와 화학변화에 대한 중등학교 과학 교과서의 개념 분석 (An Analysis of Concepts related to Physical and Chemical Change on Middle and High School Science Textbooks)

  • 이 연구에서는 물리변화와 화학변화에 대한 중${\cdot}$고등학교 과학교사들의 인식을 조사한 선행연구 결과를 바탕으로 과학교과서에서는 두 변화에 대해 어떻게 정의하고 있는지 살펴보았다. 이 연구를 위해 중학교 2학년 과학교과서부터 고등학교 화학교과서에 이르기까지 총 44종의 교과서를 분석하였다. 과학교과서 분석 결과, 물리변화와 화학변화에 대한 개념이 제시되어 있지 않거나, 제시되어 있다 할지라도 성질유형의 설명에 치우쳐 있었다. 또한 물리변화와 화학변화가 관련되어 설명이 이루어지지 않았고, 제시된 물리변화의 예들이 화학변화의 예들과 혼동되었다. 이러한 서술내용은 물리변화와 화학변화를 배우는 학생들과 가르치는 과학교사들에게 혼란을 유발시킬 가능성이 있다. 따라서 물리변화와 화학변화에 대한 과학교과서의 진술방식을 정확하고 일관성 있는 설명체계로 재구성할 필요가 있다.

  • On former days, school has realized as "where teach", but development of a technology and change of paradigm are changing school as "where study". This is meaning that student is more important and be considered than others when make school environment. Due to continuous investment of national level in several decades, in our elementary school's facilities and environment, when compare with advanced nations that we know that have come to the fairly high level. But, it is not really certainly in middle school and high school. Than the reason is, 'College entrance examination' is prior than other certain values in occasion of high school especially, and we ask a question in return whether have persuaded ourselves that school facilities and environment may change later. It is hard to find more important thing than the proposition in fact on present society. However, it is that society and facilities that can correspond to fast change of paradigm, change of curriculum, learner's change and environment have to be changed in middle school and high school now. Departmentalized Class System that applies in national middle and high school now can become an opportunity that can improve school facilities and environment of middle and high school. In such background, I studied space satisfaction and student's moving route and pattern characteristic of Departmentalized Class System high school in Chungcheongbuk-do area. And this study aims at supply the data about efficient Departmentalized Class System School's facilities plan and space use which can meet on request of students.

강점기반 I-Change 금연프로그램이 흡연남자중학생의 금연에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Strength Based I-Change Smoking Cessation Program for Smoking Middle School Boys)

  • Purpose: This study was done to develop a strength based I-change smoking cessation program for middle school boys and identified its effects. Methods: The study design was a nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. The participants were 97 middle school students from D city, who were in school from April 6 to September 25, 2015. The experimental group participated in the strength based I-change smoking cessation program, while the comparative group participated in a general smoking cessation program. The control group did not participate in any program. Data analyses involved $x^2$-test, Fishers' exact test, Bonferroni test, and Repeated measures ANOVA, with the IBM SPSS for Windows (version 20.0) program. Results: Compared to the comparison and control groups, the experimental group showed significant improvement in knowledge, attitude, self-efficacy, behavior change. Also cotinine in urine and modeling of social influence in the experimental group significantly decreased after the strength based I-change smoking cessation program. Conclusion: These findings indicate that the strength based I-change smoking cessation program is an effective intervention for middle school boys who smoke. The findings suggest that such programs can be used at public health centers or through school health education to decrease smoking in adolescents.

기후변화 프로젝트 학습이 초등학생의 기후변화에 대한 인식 및 태도, 환경소양에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Climate Change Project Learning on Elementary School Students' Perceptions and Attitudes Toward Climate Change and Environmental Literacy)

  • 본 연구에서는 기후변화와 프로젝트 수업이 초등학생의 기후변화에 대한 인식 및 태도, 환경소양에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보았다. 이를 위하여 광역시 소재의 초등학교 6학년 학생 174명(남학생 77명, 여학생 97명)의 학생을 대상으로 12차시 분량의 기후변화 프로젝트 수업을 실시한 후 학생들의 기후변화에 대한 인식 및 태도, 환경소양 수준의 변화를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 기후변화 프로젝트 수업은 초등학생의 기후변화에 대한 인식 및 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 프로젝트 학습 과정에서 기후변화 문제와 관련하여 서로 조사한 내용을 공유하고 소통하면서 학생들의 기후변화에 대한 인식 및 태도가 함양된 것으로 판단된다. 또한 기후변화 프로젝트 수업은 초등학생의 환경소양에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 구체적으로 환경태도 및 가치, 환경 친화적 행동 영역에서는 긍정적인 변화가 관찰되었지만 환경감수성 영역에서는 유의한 변화가 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구는 과학 및 환경 관련 교육학 분야에서 강조되고 있는 기후변화 문제를 소재로 한 기후변화 프로젝트 수업의 교육적 효과를 논의하고 시사점을 제안했다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

의학교육의 변화 관리 (Brining a Change in Medical Education)

  • Every medical school aims to provide better education, and it sometimes requires changing the current education system. However, an attempt for a change may not always be successful. In many cases, it is so not because an intended change was not properly directed but because conflicts in the process of adopting the change were not properly handled. This paper suggests seven points for how to successfully bring a change in medical education. First, the medical education should not simply focus on the pass rate of the national medical examination but also on the cultivation of creative leaders. Second, the faculty of medical school should be creative, self-motivated, and passionate. Third, people in charge of an intended change should have a good understanding of complicated dynamics between the dean's office, medical education experts, professors, and students. Fourth, people who are leading the change should also grasp the possibility that a well-intended change might not be well-received by professors, students, and dean due to their tendency to be complacent with the current system. Fifth, a successful introduction of a change requires good teamwork of a thinker, an actor, and a coordinator. Sixth, a change takes time as it takes place through a step-by-step process. Seventh, an attempt for a change accompanies a negotiation with professors with different thoughts and views regarding education, and people who want a change need to be flexible in that negotiation. In addition to these seven points, people who are responsible for a change should be consistent and consider the renown of the school.
