  • Mathematics is extreme the differences of the scholarly attainments in comparison with other subjects at a middle school. Specially, the students at islands and places leave much to be desired the scholarly attainments standards of mathematics. Therefore, every school takes movement class according to level these days. And the small schools put in effect the cooperation of group work through the small groups. These classes are effective at the scholarly attainments extension to some degree, but each student is extreme the differences of scholarly attainments. On this, the small school was the subject of study at the present research and put in effect the cooperation of group work through the small groups. The students were divided in three groups; the top class, average, the low class, And they were offered the fitting textbooks matching the cooperation of group work and the opportunities of discovery learning fitting an individual ability and standard. Consequently, some educational materials were made, for example, question papers, commonness learning materials, choice learning materials. These materials were put in effect to the students to be able to succeed discovery learning. With this, the students were investigated an interest of mathematics and the influence giving at the studies attainment. And the students were put in effect the cooperation of group work through the small groups to improve uniformity and sturdiness of the mathematical education. The conclusion at the present research is as follows. 1) When the students put in effect the cooperation of group work through the small groups, the scholarly attainments of mathematics totally didn't display useful changes as improvement. However, the students of average and the low class gradually seemed to improve the scholarly attainments of mathematics as the help of the top class positively. 2) An individual and cooperation learning in the method of the cooperation of group work through the small groups displayed many changes at the learning attitude of the students by means of discovery learning thanks to the learning heads. 3) When the investigator put in effect the cooperation of group work through rather the small groups than the large groups, the numbers of the students experiencing interest about mathematics increased in 26% and this learning method should continue to progress.

  • This paper presents a meta-tag expanded from scholarly service types of OpenURL written in Key/Encoded-Value format, after analyzing new scholarly service types and DataCite metadata elements which are for research data publishing and services. So far, OpenURL Z39.88 standard, KEVFormat: Sch-Svc, supporting six scholarly service type only, the expansion of this standard is needed for a research data circulation. New eight scholarly service types were extracted, after analyzing and comparing with the Scopus, Web of Science, and NDSL services. And nine representative attributes were extracted, after analyzing intensively the DataCite's elements.

  • This study analyzes the success factors of the OSJ (Ocean Science Journal) intensively as an example of best practice which has been published by cooperative efforts between scholarly society and its related organization and based on the results suggests the operation method for the internationalization of scholarly journals. This study analyzes the published articles of each number, the editorial board members, and citation of the journals, and compares some related aspects with other similar cases in foreign countries. It also suggests some recommendations for the future developments of the successful internationalization of the journal, including the importance of the cooperation with related organizations, publishing articles which can be cited more, publishing special issues with the topics interested in from the readers.

  • This study is to analyze impact factor, self-citation, immediacy index and cited half-life through citation analysis of scholarly journals of LIS field in Korea. This study was analysed the 9,329 references cited in Korean scholarly journal of LIS field. As a result, it analyzed that the articles of Korean LIS journal among the cited references in scholarly journal of LIS field in Korea is very insignificant. In other words, the percentage of citations was observed 19.1% in Journal of Korean Library and Information Science Society (KSLIS), 20.2% in Journal of the Korean Society for Library and Information Science (KLISS), 17.0% in Journal of the Korean Society for Information Management (KOSIM), 18.8% in Korean Biblia Society for Library and Information Science (KBIBLIA). Also, the cited half-life was analysed 5.87 years in KSLIS, 5.40 years in KLISS, 4.25 years in KOSIM, 3.57 years in KBIBLIA. And Impact factor has been found to be very low compared to journals of other fields.

  • The ownership of scholarly communication, i.e. copyright is very important to solve the problem of access to many academic journals in network environment. The purpose of this article is to give a conceptual model for the open access based scholarly communication. The main point of this model is for the authors of research paper to retain copyright on their works and to license the work whenever it is reproduced or redistributed for non-profit use with academic purpose. And library have to construct full text journal databases under this open access license.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a model for increasing international use of Korean scholarly journals. Recently DOI and open access are remarkable from the standpoint of increasing the opportunity of global exposition and citation of domestic scholarly journal papers. The data used in investigation and analysis were from KAMJE, KISTI, DOAJ and SCIMAGO. The model comprising DOI service and open access is obtained through analyzing DOI and open access utilization models and investigation on both.

  • Scholarly communication plays a significant role in the development and dissemination of research outputs in library and information science (LIS). This study presents findings from a survey which examines the key attributes that characterize the publishing by Pakistani LIS scholars, i.e. academics and professionals, in national journals. A pilot-tested, electronic questionnaire was used to collect the data from the target population. 104 respondents (or 69.3% of target) provided feedback on areas such as number of articles published, number of citations, and the nature of any collaboration with other authors. The findings of this survey revealed that, among the various designated regions of Pakistan, the Punjab region was the most highly represented. In articles published in national journals, there was a clear preference among all respondents to collaborate with at least one other author. The citation metrics for LIS articles in national journals were relatively low (30.22%), which aligns with Scimago’s Journal and Country Rankings. The uptake of social scholarly networks mirrors international trends. Respondents were asked to score factors which could impact negatively on their ability to undertake research and/or publish the results. The study recommends that concerned stakeholders work together, as appropriate, to address concerns. In addition, it recommends that further research be undertaken to define patterns of Pakistani co-authorship in the social sciences.

  • This study aims to identify specific topics, trends, and structural characteristics of scholarly communication research, based on 1,435 articles published from 1970 to 2018 in the Scopus database through Latent Dirichlet Allocation topic modeling, serial analysis, and network analysis. Topic modeling, time series analysis, and network analysis were used to analyze specific topics, trends, and structures, respectively. The results were summarized into three sets as follows. First, the specific topics of scholarly communication research were nineteen in number, including research resource management and research data, and their research proportion is even. Second, as a result of the time series analysis, there are three upward trending topics: Topic 6: Open Access Publishing, Topic 7: Green Open Access, Topic 19: Informal Communication, and two downward trending topics: Topic 11: Researcher Network and Topic 12: Electronic Journal. Third, the network analysis results indicated that high mean profile association topics were related to the institution, and topics with high triangle betweenness centrality, such as Topic 14: Research Resource Management, shared the citation context. Also, through cluster analysis using parallel nearest neighbor clustering, six clusters connected with different concepts were identified.
