  • Images are 2-dimensional projection of 3-dimensional scenes and many problems of scene analysis arise due to inherent depth ambiguities in a monocular 2-D image. Therefore, depth recovery is a crucial problem in image understanding. This paper proposes modified algorithm which is focused on accurate correspondnce in stereo vision. The feature we use is zero-crossing points and the similarity measure with two property evaluation function is used to estimate initial probability. And we introduce relaxation technique for accurate and global correspondence.

  • This study is on the production and the classification of a new appreciation methods of seascape through materials in the words of Korean popular songs. In advance, it is necessary to understand the popular songs as collective representation and the songs are analytic data. In this study, some essential elements of seascape in popular songs are analyzed and classified. They are; 1. visible elements-weather, time, season and object. 2. all senses-vision, audition, olfaction, tactile sense, and spatial sense. 3. the line of vision-static line of vision and dynamic line of vision. In this way data is produced, and then the result of this study makes appreciation methods of seascape developed. In this way, this study results in developed appreciation of seascape. This study on new understanding of appreciation methods of seascape is on the basis of a design method of water-front that is considered a visible scene, not a design of construction elements.

  • Surface dry condition examination method on the KS F 2504(Testing method for specific gravity and absorption of fine aggregate) has dim detail prescriptions which can cause different ways of understanding based on one's convinence, not on correct means of rule. So we investigate the problems about the inconsistency on decisioing surface dry condition at management examination in the lab and scene. In conclusion, free-falling method is easier and faster than self-weight method. And we also found that the most important face on decisioning surface dry is compacting factor of tamping rod.

  • Object detection is a fundamental task for many high-level computer vision applications such as image retrieval, scene understanding, activity recognition, visual surveillance and many others. Although object detection is one of the most popular problems in computer vision and various algorithms have been proposed thus far, it is also notoriously difficult, mainly due to lack of proper models for object representation, that handle large variations of object structure and appearance. In this article, we review a branch of object detection algorithms based on Support Vector Machines (SVMs), a well-known max-margin technique to minimize classification error. We introduce a few variations of SVMs-Structural SVMs and Latent SVMs-and discuss their applications to object detection and localization.

  • Object detection is a fundamental yet challenging task in computer vision that plays an important role in object recognition, tracking, scene analysis and understanding. This paper aims to propose a multiproperty fusion algorithm for moving object detection. First, we build a scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) vector field and analyze vectors in the SIFT vector field to divide vectors in the SIFT vector field into different classes. Second, the distance of each class is calculated by dispersion analysis. Next, the target and contour can be extracted, and then we segment the different images, reversal process and carry on morphological processing, the moving objects can be detected. The experimental results have good stability, accuracy and efficiency.

  • Current two-dimensional (2D) augmented reality (AR) devices present virtual image and information to a fixed focal plane, regardless of the various locations of ambient objects of interest around the observer. This limitation can lead to a visual discomfort caused by misalignments between the view of the ambient object of interest and the visual representation on the AR device due to a failing of the singular fusion. Since the misalignment becomes more severe as the depth difference gets greater, it can hamper visual understanding of the scene, interfering with task performance of the viewer. Thus, we analyzed the range of singular fusion (RSF) of AR images within which viewers can perceive the shape of an object presented on two different depth planes without difficulty due to the failure of singular fusion. It is expected that our analysis can inspire the development of advanced AR systems with low visual discomfort.

  • With Unity creating footage is possible by using 3D motion, 2D motion, particular, and sound. Even post-production video editing is possible by combining the footage. In particular, Cinemachine, a suite of camera tools for Unity, that greatly affects screen layout and the flow of video images, can implement most of the functions of a physical camera. Visual aesthetics can be achieved through it. However, as it is a part of a game engine. Thus, the understanding of the game engine should come first. Also doubts may arise as to how similar it is to a physical camera. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to examine the advantages and cautions of virtual cameras in Cinemachine, and explore the potential for development by implementing storytelling directly.

  • The novel literature of the Romantic era was characterized by emotionally charged and imaginatively rich works. During this period, authors brought a new flow to the literary scene by exploring romantic themes in their unique styles. Various themes and genres emerged, diversifying the novel's target audience. It was during this era that Emily Brontë's "Wuthering Heights" was published. In this paper, we aim to explore the theme of alleviating internal turmoil within this novel, focusing on one enigmatic character, Heathcliff, among the main protagonists. We will illuminate Heathcliff's tumultuous past, analyzing the intricate connections of events that led to profound psychological anguish. By scrutinizing his actions and outward expressions, this paper seeks to understand the manifestation of his internal pain in interactions with other characters. We present a more comprehensive understanding of "Wuthering Heights," transcending the conventional boundaries of literary analysis. It not only proposes practical methods for alleviating internal turmoil but also sheds light on the timeless theme of divine love, offering readers a profound framework for interpreting the complexities of human relationships and the pursuit of inner peace.

  • Emotion plays a key role in both generating and understanding narrative. In this article we analyzed the emotions represented in a movie script based on 8 emotion types from the wheel of emotions by Plutchik. First we conducted manual emotion tagging scene by scene. The most dominant emotions by manual tagging were anger, fear, and surprise. It makes sense when the film script we analyzed is a thriller-genre. We assumed that the emotions around the climax of the story would be heightened as the tension grew up. From manual tagging we could identify three such duration when the tension is high. Next we analyzed the emotions in the same script using Python-based NLTK VADERSentiment tool. The result showed that the emotions of anger and fear were most matched. The emotion of surprise, anticipation, and disgust, however, scored lower matching.
