  • This paper suggests an event-based scenario manager capable of creating and editing a scenario for shipbuilding process simulation based on multibody dynamics. To configure various situation in shipyards and easily connect with multibody dynamics, the proposed method has two main concepts: an Actor and an Action List. The Actor represents the anatomic unit of action in the multibody dynamics and can be connected to a specific component of the dynamics kernel such as the body and joint. The user can make a scenario up by combining the actors. The Action List contains information for arranging and executing the actors. Since the shipbuilding process is a kind of event-based sequence, all simulation models were configured using Discrete EVent System Specification (DEVS) formalism. The proposed method was applied to simulations of various operations in shipyards such as lifting and erection of a block and heavy load lifting operation using multiple cranes.

  • It is an important and a difficult task to analyze external inputs and interactions between objects for designing and modeling a reactive system consisting of multiple object. Also the reactive system is required huge efforts on confirm it can satisfy requirements under all possible circumstances. In this paper, we build from requirements to a scenario-based specification model using LSC(Live Sequence Chart) extending MSC(Message Sequence Chart) with richer syntax and semantic. Then the reactive system model satisfying all requirements for each object in this system can be automatically created through LTL Synthesis. Finally, we propose a method of reactive system development by iterative process transforming a reactive system model to codes.

  • This paper suggests the scenario composition supporting method, which can be used to perform integration test based on specification, and implemented a scenario composition supporting tool. To compose scenario for object-oriented integration testing, requirement specification, Process definition table and program to table relation diagram are used. In addition, requirement trace table is created. It can check user's requirements, quickly and exactly, dividing former three fables into the stages of requirement analysis, design, and test. The output of scenario composition supporting tool plays a guide part in composing scenario. This tool can reduce scenario composition effort of quality for the checking team and prevent an omission of requirement and input of errors during the test.

  • Application of information technology for the construction area has been processed actively with the development of information technology. In this study, a framework of the Construction Specification IETM(Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) was suggested through the analysis of the Department of Defense(DoD)'s standards and the trend of techniques related to the IETM. As the Framework, the DFD(Data Flow Diagram) of the construction specification IETM's organizing and using procedure was suggested. And a Model of construction specification IETM was organized on the basis of DFD. Finally, a scenario was constructed by the pilot system which is based on the model. The application of the construction specification IETM would make efficient and effect task implementations possible. By that, in addition to the reduction of the cost and time, the quality enhancement from information missing protect effectiveness could be expected.

  • WiBro(Wireless Broadband), the service based on IEEE 802.16e(mobile WiMAX) standard, is a wireless broadband Internet technology being developed by the domestic telecommunication industry. In this paper, we analyze security vulnerabilities of WiBro focusing on initial authentication phase and propose a specification-based intrusion detection system that can detect those vulnerabilities. We first derive a specification from the normally operational process of the initial authentication based on PKMv2 EAP-AKA and formalize the derived specification as a state transition diagram. Proposed system executes the intrusion detection based on those specification and state transition diagram. In this paper, to verify the detection capability of proposed system, we construct a test bed network and execute scenario-based test.

  • A business process specification (BPS) plays the role of a contracted business scenario in the execution of the B2B business process instances. XML based specification languages, such as BPSS, WS BPEL, etc., are usually adopted for the specifications. However, composing complex XML based specifications are not easy for humans. As an alternative, graphical modeling languages such as UML and BPMN can be employed. This paper presents an UML based modeling method for graphically specifying ebXML BPSS instances (namely, business process specifications). UML diagrams, directly matching with ebXML BPSS, can be reused for understanding and generating ebXML BPSS instances. We discuss the value of the method by developing a business reference library in the area of supply chain management.

  • In this paper, we propose a scenario representing method, a specification language, and a verification technique for OARTS(Object based Approach for Real-Time Systems). As well as the general modeling method(event trace diagram), this study includes a specification language and a verification technique because there was no study about methodological level technique for scenario development as yet. Centering around the synchronization problem of transition of external modules which are the communication interfaces based on the objects, we lay stress on the representation of sequence of external events and internal action transitions. From the results of practical experiences, it has been ascertained that the proposed method reflect well the requirements in the analysis step, and its validity of the representation has been identified by a conceptual verifier. We support that it can serve as an analyzing tool for representing a general real-time scenarios also.

  • While developing a complex reactive software system. it is very important to analyze the user requirement and reflect it to the developed system. Therefore understanding the need of users precisely and promptly is the key to the successful software system development. Among several requirement specification languages, message sequence charts (MSCs), also known as sequence diagrams in UML are the most widely used scenario notation. Live Sequence Charts (LSCs) are a variant ot MSCs, characterized by its message abstraction facility and the modality of scenarios. In this paper, I define the formal semantics of LSC specification including the essential language constructs such as pre-charts, variables, assignment and conditions. The range of the formalized LSC language has been broadened, and the scope of the formalized semantics is much closer to the complete LSC specification.

  • Conformance testing for embedded software is to check whether software was correctly implemented according to software specification or not. In conformance testing, test scenarios must be extracted to cover every test cases of software. In a general way, test scenarios simply focus on testing all functions at least one time. But, test scenarios are necessary to consider efficiency of test execution. In this paper, we propose a test scenario extraction method by considering function's execution time and waiting time for user interaction. A test model is a graph model which is generated from state machine diagram and test cases in software specification. The test model is augmented by describing test execution time and user interaction information. Based on the test model, test scenarios are extracted by a modified Dijkstra's algorithm. Our test scenario approach can reduce testing time and improve test automation.
