Business Intelligence (BI) system is a strategic tool that presents an analytical perspective about business and external environments. Even though its strategic value was well known, users often avoid using it or adopt it ceremonially. In fact, over 50 per cent of BI projects worldwide are reported to end in failure. Such an unexpectedly lower success rate has been a key issue in BI studies. In order to enhance a proper use of information systems, MIS field provided a number of theoretical constructs. One example is Goodhue & Thompson's Task-Technology Fit (TTF). In addition, internalization, the degree to which people make their own effort to modify behavior, was recently suggested as another important determinant of use. Though in MIS community both TTF and internalization proved to be a key determinant of system use, there has been not much study aiming to discover antecedents influencing these constructs. In this study we assert that user participation should be highlighted in BI projects. Especially, we emphasize user participation at the phase of feasibility study that is mainly conducted to determine whether a BI system is essentially necessary and practicable. Our research model employs participative feasibility study as a major antecedent for TTF and internalization that consequently will lead to user satisfaction and actual use. This model was empirically tested on 121 BI system users. The result shows that user participation in feasibility study is positively associated with TTF and internalization, each being related to user satisfaction and system use. It implies that, if an organization has BI users get involved in strategic feasibility study phase, the BI system would turn out to fit users' tasks and, furthermore, users would put more efforts spontaneously in order to use it properly.
The purpose of this study is to examine the variables which influence old widows' life satisfaction. The subjects were 318 old widows over sixty years old in Kwangju. The data were taken by questionaires and analyzed by frequency distribution, percentile, AHOVA, scheffes test and multiple regression. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1) The majority of old widows were low educated and 36.2% were poor in health. Their living aspect that they live together with their married child was 74.2%. Degree of participation in social activities was very low. 42% were satisfied or very satisfied with their pocket money. 76.4% had religions. 25.5% had no old friend. Solidarity with their children was generally good. In their economical status, 8.4% of living together with married children were low while 35.3% of living separately were. 60% thought that they were important person at home. 35.5% answered that they were satisfied with their living condition and 6% were very satisfied. 2) The variables which affect the old widows' life satisfaction were age(p<0.05), state of health(p<0.001), degree of pocket money(p<0.01), economical status(p<0.05), roles at home(p<0.01), solidarity among their relatives(p<0.001), solidarity with their children(p<0.001), status in home(p<0.001) participation in social activities(p<0.05) and existence of old friend(p<0.01). 3) The significant orders which affect the old widow's life satisfaction were satus in home first of all (β=0.26, p<0.001), objective solidarity with their children(β=0.21, p<0.001), subjuctive solidarity with their children(β=0.19, p<0.01), state of health (β=0.15, p<0.01) and economical status who living with married child (β=0.15, p<0.01).
This study was carried out to investigate effects of general characteristics of the Korean dietician on job satisfaction. The subjects were 2987 dieticians who responded to the questionnaire distributed at the annual education program of the Korean Dietetic Association in 1995. The results are followings: 1. The level of the job satisfaction of Korean dieticians was low for payment, work environment, and value achievement as a dietician, while it was relatively high for the relationship with colleagues. The other parts of job satisfaction, such as work load, work contents, supervision by senior, participation of policy decision and etc were above average. 2. Dieticians who were older and/or who had worked longer than others had significantly higher job satisfaction in all fields. 3. Dietician who received college education showed significantly lower job satisfaction in all fields than did dieticians with B.A. and M.A. degree. 4. Dieticians with low position at the work had significantly lower job satisfaction in all fields than had dieticians with higher position.

This study was performed to find out factors affecting degree of satisfaction with workers' working environment. The study subjects were 165 workers who were working at painting process of twelve furniture manufacturing factories in Incheon area. We used self-administered questionnaire containing general characteristics, working conditions, the degree of satisfaction with working environment, and the degree of satisfaction with working condition. In addition, we measured the exposure levels of occupational hazardous agents. The results were as follows; 1. Correlations between the degree of satisfaction with workers' working environment and the measured of occupational hazardous agents did not affect the degree of satisfaction with workers' working environment. 2. Factors affecting the degree of satisfaction with workers' working environment were not the exposure levels of occupational hazardous agents, but the degree of satisfaction with working condition, size of industry, health status, and types of ventilation system. As the degree of satisfaction with working condition was increased, the degree of satisfaction with working environment was increased. Also, for the workers who had good health status, the degree of satisfaction with work environment was appeared to be high. To increase the degree of satisfaction, with workers' working environment, firstly, effective work management and production control are required. Also, the worker's effort to negotiate continuously with top manager on improving working conditions is required. Secondly, developing heath promotion program to be appropriate for the characteristics of worksite is required. Moreover, leading worker's participation in health promotion program is very important to increase the degree of satisfaction with workers' working environment.
Resident participation plays much of a rule to the cohousing, which is organized independently and has the characteristics of community life, especially in the initial state of cohousing process. However, it is hard to realize the resident participation in proper order due to lack of a personal time, individual effort and an insufficient knowledge related with cohousing. So, it is thought that the guidance of cohousing expert and coordinator is needed to enable the residents to perform in an active attitude. The development of educational program and workshop connected with resident participation is also accompanied. In this study, to make the positive and systematic participation of cohousing residents, we established the workshop program and performed workshop with our developed program, based on preceding researches and examples. We selected the object of workshop as five housewives in thirties and forties. Workshop was consisted of six process steps. (1) Introduction and question of workshop and cohousing (2) examining and arranging the opinion (3) Master plan of cohousing village (4) Planning of common living space (5) Planning of individual living space (6) Analysis of final results and evaluation of workshop. The workshop held six times and it took about five~six hours per each meeting. Workshop participants expressed their opinion actively and attended in a positive manner in order to the design of their desired village and cohousing. During workshop process, the players established the common target of their village by means of life card, target card game. Also, based on the common target, the layout of village was planned using a collage game and card arrangement game. By workshop activity, the members started to recognize the significance of participation on the drawing board and improve their technique of communication and decision-making. Furthermore, workshop process made it possible to approach the concrete forms of their cohousing village. Especially, in the closing phase, the participant satisfaction about workshop and cohousing is increased suddenly and expressed their intention to join the real workshop related with cohousing.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the direct and indirect effects of residential satisfaction on the quality of life and to analyze the difference according to the residence type. The subjects of this study were 422 elderly people aged 65 or older residing in two metropolitan municipalities. The data were analyzed by using structural equation model by multi-group analysis. The results showed that the degree of satisfaction with the residential environment indirectly affected not only the quality of life of the elderly but also social participation activities. As a result of verifying the difference of the residential satisfaction and quality of life path according to the residence type, there was a difference in the route between groups according to the type of residence. This study is significant in that the elderly who have not been interested in the elderly housing policy have been investigated and the relationship between the residential satisfaction and quality of life of the elderly by residence type has been investigated .
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the determinants of job satisfaction of hospital nurses. The focus was on work rewards. A causal model of job satisfaction of hospital nurses was constructed based on situational perspectives. Methods: The sample for this study consisted of 505 nurses from 2 general hospitals located in Seoul and Kyeonggi Province, Korea. Data were collected with self-administrated questionnaires and analyzed by hierarchical multiple regression. Results: All variables except workload were positively correlated with job satisfaction. It was found that three task reward variables(workload, meaning, and participation), two organizational reward variables(security and promotional chances) and one social reward variable(family support) had significant influence on nurses' job satisfaction. The explained variance for job satisfaction was 41.4%. The data further indicate that task rewards were the most significant determinants of nurse job satisfaction. Conclusion: Theses findings provide strong empirical evidence for importance of task, organizational and social reward variables in explaining job satisfaction of nurses. The model used for this study will be useful for predicting nurse job satisfaction.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine whether the level of participation in physical activity affects the mental health of adolescents, that is, their subjective well-being. In addition, we would like to see if adolescents can improve their satisfaction with life away from the negative emotions they are currently feeling through physical activities such as hand-help and consolation activities and check if self-esteem has mediating effects in this process. Design: Survey. Methods: The survey was conducted by the surveyor, with a total of 9,041. Results: First, it shows that the higher frequency of adolescents' physical activity leads to higher self-esteem and subjective well-being. Second, it shows that the higher the self-esteem leads to higher subjective well-being felt by adolescents. Third, the level of youth physical activity itself contributes to subjective well-being while also affecting self-esteem, and the self-esteem also affects the subjective well-being that adolescents perceive. Conclusion: It will be necessary to provide programs to enhance subjective well-being for students with poor school life adaptation and satisfaction with life, as well as continuous attention such as organization and counseling of programs in schools to enhance self-esteem. In addition, it is considered that by encouraging and guiding teenagers with low satisfaction with life and low self-esteem to physical activities such as volunteer activities and leisure activities that suit their aptitude, and the adolescents will get away from the negative emotions they are currently feeling and increase their satisfaction with adaptation to school life and life.
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to develop a Gi-Gong method instruction configured with modern motions to suit the Medical curing characteristics of Korean Medicine and improve the development and validation of educational and clinical needs. Methods : We took survey on 33 students after giving 'Yang-Seng Gi-Gong' lectures at Woosuk University School of Korean Medicine in the first semester of the year 2015. Results : 1. Reflection of training goal was 7.75±1.79, which showed that the education was overall interesting, but showed a high satisfaction with the practical rather than the theoretical lectures. 2. General difficulty level was intermediate, but the practice of Hwal-In-Shim-Bang Do-In-Beop from several formulations were evaluated relatively difficult exercise. 3. The propriety of training materials were rated as mostly adequate, but that assessment was relatively less appropriate for the linkage of theory and practice, and that of time allocation and place was a normal level. 4. For the propriety of time distribution, the class of one semester such as the current is rated appropriate by 61% of students. 5. General class participation was 6.34±2.52, then participation in practice than theory lessons were active. On the other hand, Induction training participation and participation appeared to be relatively low correlation, but overall interesting and participation in practice high correlation. Conclusions : The difficulty level of theory lessons is necessary to be adjusted and lecture form will need to continue focusing on practical lessons.
Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of recognition of need and participation intent of motivational interviewing education in dental hygiene students experiencing clinical practice. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 261 dental hygiene students in Gwangju and Jeonnam from June 6 to August 8, 2016. The questionnaire comprised general charactieristics of the subjects and Motivational interviewing (MI) in health care including philosophy, principle, and method. Data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney U test, Spearman's correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis using SPSS 21.0 program. Results: Recognition on need for MI education was positively correlated with participation intent for the education. MI method showed the highest correlation among MI educations(r=0.329, p<0.001). Participation intent for motivation interviewing(MI) education was higher in those having stronger recognition on need for MI method education and satisfaction with clinical practice. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop motivational interviewing education curriculum that will promote participation intent for motivational interviewing in clinical field.
