The brand is getting more important purchase factor in apartment market, so domestic construction companies have tried to differentiate it from others by creating the unique brand image. The purpose of this study was to investigate consistency of apartment brand image as a process which includes publicity, design and customer service and to analyze how using intergrated brand image affects brand preference and purchasing intention. To examine hypotheses, an empirical study using a survey questionnaire for residents living in 4 different brand apartments in Dongtan, Hwasung city was conducted. The collected data were treated with the SPSS Win Program 14.0. The study indicates that residents living in brand apartment generally preferred natural friendly image, high-class image and modern image to the others. And at first apartment brand images were created with image advertising on TV, catalog for sale and model house tour, but residents have most needs for customer service reflected in brand images. The study also has found that brand images in each process including publicity, design and customer service were not intergrated. However brand image intergration had positive effects on residential satisfaction and customer loyalty. The results of the study are expected to become the useful data in developing sustainable apartment brands and building effective marketing strategy of construction companies.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate physical health status. depression. activities of daily living (ADL & IADL) of the low-income elderly who live alone in urban areas. Method: The subjects were the 400 low-income elders who live alone in Daegu city and the following instruments were used: 1. The number of self-reported physical health problems and present diseases: 2. CES-D scale for depression by Jo Nam-Oak et al. (1998): and 3. ADL scale by Katz (1989) and IADL scale by Lawton and Brody (1969). Results: 1. Visual difficulty was the most prevailing problem (55.3%) among physical problems. the second bowel elimination and the third hearing disturbance. As for present diseases. arthritis (26.5%), hypertension(24.3%) and DM (11.8%) were the most common diseases. 2. There were significant differences in physical health status according to age (t=3.115. p=.045). kind of medical security (t=-1.973. p=.049). perceived life satisfaction (F=4.966. p=.007) and the number of present diseases (F=2.937. p=.033). 3. There were significant differences in depression according to sex (t=-3.758. p=.000) . kind of medical security (t=-4.368. p=.000). perceived life satisfaction (F=35.743. p=.000) and the number of present diseases (F=4.246. p=.006). 4. There were significant differences in ADL according to sex (t=-2.136. p=.033) and age (F=4.863. p=.008). and in IADL according to sex (t=4.552, p=.000), age (F=3.090. p=.047) and kind of medical security (t=-3.306. p=.001). 5. Physical health state was correlated positively with both the number of present diseases (r=.140. p=.005) and depression (r=.352. p=.000), and negatively with ADL (r=-.176. p= .000) and IADL (r= -.230. p=.000). Depression was correlated positively with the number of present diseases (r=.169. p=.001) and negatively with both ADL (r=-.139. p=.005) and IADL (r=-.203. p= .000). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that general characteristics are important factors for physical health status, depression. ADL and IADL of the low-income elderly who live alone and there are close relations among physical health status, the number of diseases, depression, ADL and IADL. Therefore, these results must be reflected in community health programs for the low-income elderly who live alone. In addition, this kind of study must be extended to the low-income elderly who live alone in rural areas.
Objective : This study aimed to acquire activities of daily living (ADL) skills through activity analysis and forward chaining in children with developmental disabilities. Methods : In this study, the performance of children with developmental disabilities was guided stepwise using a changing criterion design. The intervention was conducted in forward chaining after the therapist analyzed the activities of three tasks (shoes, shorts, and short-sleeved T-shirts) set as the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM). The performance rate at each stage of the three tasks was used as an independent variable, and COPM performance and satisfaction scores before and after the intervention were set as dependent variables. Results : The task performance rates of children wearing shoes, shorts, and short-sleeved T-shirts improved over time. Even at home, the scores for performance and satisfaction of all three tasks increased. Conclusion : Hopefully, activity analysis and behavioral chaining methods will be used not only for ADL but also for various tasks in children with developmental disabilities who have difficulty acquiring tasks.
Living conditions of the rural elderly were assessed in terms of clothing behavior, health and nutritional status, housing and envioronmental condition, and psychological adjustment. The subjects were eighty individuals over sixty residing in the rural community of Iksan-kun, Chollabukdo. The interview method using questionnaires, direct measurement, and observation was used for this study. Data were compared with those obtained from a previous study of the elderly residing in an urban area. Clothing behavior showed that the elderly residing in the rural community were more concerned about plain and conservative design of clothes than their urban counterparts. Special protective clothes for cropdusting with agricultural chemicals had not been prepared. The following urgent needs were pointed out: development and supply of agricultural chemical protective clothing and development and education of appropriate washing and clothing care methods. The health status of the elderly was generally good, but poor eating habits were found more frequently in the rural elderly than among the urban dwellers. Several dietary nutrient intakes were insufficient. Contrasting the urban elderly with the rural group, it was found that the urban group lacked sufficient vitamin A and vitamin C and the urban women had insufficient calorie whereas the rural group was deficient in protein, vitamin A, calorie, and fat. A significant relationship was found between dietary nutrient intake and health index, food habit points, self recognized health status, meal satisfaction, and economic status. Urgent needs of the development of a nutrition education program for the elderly were pointed out. Most of elderly residing in the surveyed rural communities were living alone or with their spouse only, therefore only one room was used among the three or four available rooms. Most of the rural elderly were living either in a traditional Korean house built with differing floor levels or in a modified Korean style house. Minimal modernization had been made for kitchen facilities such as sink and gas range or for heating facilities with the briquette boiler. However, sanitary space such as lavatory and bathroom had not been remodeled. A housing welfare program for rural communities should be implemented at the national level. The comparison of psychological characteristics of the rural elderly with their city counterparts revealed that the rural elderly have a more stable psychological status and optimistic attitude than those living in a city. However, it was found that most of the elderly did not have any future plan. Community programs for the elderly including hobbies or leisure activities or education programs to generate close interpersonal relationships with their children should be developed and provided.
When a human being grew older, followed by visually and perceptually impaired, and dementia, it jeopardizes safety and life unless supportive design is secured for a living environment. This supportive space is based on universal design concept which offers safe-oriented, and simple use by incorporating gender and physical/mental limitation. The study of purppose was to examine the appropriateness of barrier-free standard for seniors' living in apartment through IPA. Chi-square analysis found that satisfaction with BF space is lowered as aging is continued and for female group. Regression analysis indicated that sink was the prime predictor in satisfaction, and stair/elevator was the most important variable. IPA concluded that sink, bath, shower/locker and alert/egress were prime BF indexes to be improved among 14 elements, implying careful design in sanitation area for seniors.

Technology status was investigated by analyzing patents and development cases of wearable robots. Development direction of wearable robot for wearability was also suggested by understanding the problems of wearability from development cases through the FGI technique. The number of patents per technical field was the most in the field of strength support, but AI in the technology field was different in each country; Korea was found to be poor in the category of daily living assistance. The number of patents by technology category was the most in the category of muscular strength assistance. However, the values of AI in the technology category were different in each country; Korea was found to be poor in the category of daily living assistance. Development cases were focused on rehabilitation, so development is not fulfilled uniformly by use purpose. By wearing body parts, robots with single function type were mainly developed. Rigid material robots were mainly developed. It was confirmed that wearable robot technology is not developed evenly in the category of application because it is in the early stage of the technical proposal and centered on main performance improvement. We derived twelve wearable conditions for wearable robots: Shape and Size Appropriateness, Movement Appropriateness, Composition Appropriateness, Physiological Appropriateness, Performance Satisfaction, Ease of Operation, Safety, Durability, Ease of Dressing, Ease of Cleaning, Portability and Ease of Storage and Appearance Satisfaction. Finally, the development direction of a wearable robot for each wearable condition was suggested.
This study was carried out to provide basic data. his research conducted the survey using face to face survey and board survey during about 2 months from Oct. to Nov. in 2009 for users of Bongje Mt., a small-sized mountain at downtown, and Acha Mt., a big-sized mountain at outskirt so as to compare the differences of using behavior by forms and size of urban forest in living area of Seoul. Characteristics of urban forest users, using behavior, demands and satisfaction of facilities and management and pass pattern were set as research items. The thing in common for using behavior is that both genders of main users were in more than 40s~60s. They showed the highest using rate from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and high rate for using nearly everyday or visiting two or three times per a week. In addition, it's judged that the accessibility from dwelling area to entrance of urban forest in living area is good and satisfaction for the standard of facilities and their management in forest way was relatively low. For the complement and essential facilities, 'sanitary facilities' showed the highest rate. For the differences of using behavior, most of Bongje Mt. users were residents living within a 2km radius (under the standard of walking) and they moved by average 1.3km. And, they preferred short-time activities of about 24 minutes. On the other hand, main users of Acha Mt. were residents living within a 4km radius (under the standard of walking) and people of other regions. and 60% of them preferred the passage route taking 3hours half over 6km. Through the survey on using behavior of urban forest in living area of Seoul, with different using form and forest size, introduction of using program for main users or managing method of differentiations for introduced facility's management should be properly applied. Especially, urban forest should be systematically managed like park green as expected that residents's using of urban forest will be increased with the increase of leisure time.

The results of the survery are as follows:. 1. Dental Hygiene students' motives consisted primarily of employment and a desire for professionalism 25% of them entered the course after one failure in the entrance examination and 17% had family members engaging in the dentistry field 84%, the largest portion, were from an academic high school. 24% had some knowledge of Dental Hygiene, which they had acquired from seniors, friends, and teachers. 2. Patient care and treatment assistance related matters were not considered important in the course. The weak points of the course turned out to be education in computers and foreign languages, but the weakest was the ability of patient care during clinical training. 53% had experiences had thought of changing their major while in the course because it didn't match their aptitude and interest. 3. As for a career after graduation, 49% worried about it Most students wanted to work at a dental hospital or general hospital, The most favored duty was coordination or reception or oral disease preventive work. They wanted to work untill they had a stable living. 68% answered they would get a job at an oral clinic and 70% said they would continue studying for self-realization. 4. Satisfaction with the major was high in students whose aptitude and interest matched the course, who had background knowledge of the major, and who. didn't think of changing the major but would continue studying resulting in statistically slight difference(p<0.001). As to satisfaction with the faculties, it was high in the students whose aptitude and interest matched the major and who didn't think about a career after graduation showing a slight difference(p<05, p<0l). As for satisfaction with clinical training, students whose aptitude and interest matched the major and who didn't consider changing the major answered positively showing a statistically slight difference(p<.001, p<.01). As to satisfaction with the course, it was high in the students who entered with aptitude and interest, who had preliminary knowledge, who didn't consider changing the major, and who didn't think about a career after graduation showing a statistically slight difference(p<.001, p<.05). 5. Occupation mind-set was positive for students who entered with interest and aptitude, who had preliminary knowledge, and who had not considered changing the major showing a statistically slight difference(P<.001). The higher the satisfaction with the major, faculty and clinical training was, the more positive the occupation mind-set was(p<.001).
The purpose of this study was to explore factors related to marital satisfaction among immigrant wives compared to Korean wives of Korean men. Participants included 409 immigrant wives married to Korean men and 474 Korean wives married to Korean men, both currently living in Korea. Hierarchical regression analyses revealed that there were different sets of variables that predicted marital satisfaction for each group. Egalitarian decision-making was a significant predictor of marital satisfaction for immigrant wives only, whereas for Korean wives, it was the level of their depressive symptoms that was significantly but negatively associated with marital satisfaction. A wife's positive perception of her husband's communication style emerged as the strongest predictor of marital satisfaction for both Korean and immigrant wives. In addition, indicators of the cultural context of immigrant women (i.e., longer stay in Korea and greater frequency of experiencing discrimination in the past year due to their foreign appearance or status) emerged as significant predictors of immigrant wives' marital satisfaction even after taking demographic factors, depressive symptoms, and couple-level factors into account. The findings of this study contribute to existing research by (1) comparing the models of marital satisfaction for Korean wives and immigrant wives, identifying unique predictors for each group, and (2) examining the effect of cultural adaptation on the martial satisfaction of immigrant wives.
