Objectives: This study proposes a hypothetical model for job stress, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention through social exchange relations (LMX, TMX) and political skills (LPS) for dental hygienists working in dental clinics hygienists. Methods: A self-administrated questionnaire was administered from April 1 to May 12, 2020, with 171 dental clinic hygienists participating in Seoul, Busan and Gyeongnam. The data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS statistical analysis programs. Results: First, in the hypotheses testing, a total of 7 of 18 hypotheses were supported. Second, the relatonship between leader-member exchange (LMX) or team-member exchange (TMX) and turnover intention, a full mediating effect of job stress or job satisfaction or organizational commitment on that exchange was found. However, the leader's political skills on the path to turnover intention were not statistically significant. Conclusions: It is considered that education to enhance job skills, support for leisure activities, and time to communicate opinions with each other should be provided to create an organizational culture that satisfies all members, thereby lowering the intention to turnover.
Purpose: Increasing their motivation and job satisfaction, employees in the distribution channel may be better able to interact with consumers and provide a more satisfying experience. Thus, increasing employee engagement in the supply chain necessitates a complex strategy considering the distinctive features of wholesale and retail markets. This study investigates how to boost employees' motivation in the supply chain based on the difference between wholesale and retail market. Research design, data, and methodology: The prior study analysis is a useful tool to take a look at relevant previous works via a significant screening and selecting strategy. The Key words based on the topic of the research have used, such as 'Employee Motivation', 'Supply Chain', 'Wholesale' and 'Retail' worker. Results: The findings of this research strongly indicates that motivating employees is essential for the efficient operation of supply chain activities as they continue to expand and become more complicated. The supply chain's two main segments are the wholesale and retail markets, each with distinct characteristics. Conclusions: This research focused exclusively on the factors that motivate supply chain workers, ignoring job satisfaction, corporate culture, and managerial style, which may affect employee motivation. These factors also have the potential to impact employee motivation and should be considered in subsequent research.
This study was conducted to analyze factors influencing old people's stress and coping with it. The subjects of this study were 1186 people who lived in 6 cities. The data were collected from September, 2003 to March, 2003. The result of this study can be summarized as follow. 1. 14.3% of the respondents was in good health, while 30.6% of them was not in good health. 11.0% of them had good eyesight and 22.2% had a good sense of hearing. 12.0% of them had good teeth. 2. The level of coping with stress was 59.9 points on the basis 100 points. The level of coping with it actively was highest, while the level of coping with it passively was lowest. 3. Factors which influenced old people's stress were job health condition, leisure activity, smoking, hearing ability, and regular exercise. 4. Factors which affected coping with stress were gender, having meals regularly, smoking, job, vigor, preference of foods, and average pocket money per month. As shown in the above results, the level of old people's stress factors and coping with it were significantly low in the groups of low education level, having less pocket money, living alone, being in bad health, having weak eyesight, having bad sense of hearing, having bad teeth, low satisfaction level with leisure, and having no health behavior. Therefore, the method of decreasing stress factors and coping with it should be developed. The government and related organizations must make great efforts to improve old people's quality of life and increase healthy life expectancy.
1. Purpose of the study: This study was to investigate and analyse the career decision making patterns of students, which would enhance vocational guidance activities for the students. The specific purposes of the study are as follows. 1) To find how much the fisheries high school students are satisfied with the school. 2) To find out the factors which would influence the fisheries high school students in their career decision making. 3) To find out the person who plays the most important role in the career decision making of the students 4) To find out the patterns of behavior taken by the fisheries high school students in their career decision making. 2. Hypotheses: The following hypotheses were tested for this study. 1) There would be significant differences in the extent of school-satisfaction, depending on the class level and major. 2) There would be significant differences in the value criterion with which the fisheries high school students make decisions on their careers, depending on the grades, majors, and the levels of school-satisfaction. 3) There would be significant differences in the human factors which affect their decision-making on their career, depending on the class levels, majors, and the levels of school satisfaction. 4) There would be significant differences in the patterns of behavior they take when they make decisions on their careers depending on the grades, majors and the levels of school satisfaction. 3. Methods of the study: For the verification of the above hypotheses, a questionaire was developed by the researcher, and the questionaire was answered by the total 440 students from three fisheries high schools, located in the rural and urban areas, out of 8 fisheries high schools in Korea. The questionaire was composed of two major parts: school-satisfaction (10 items) and career decision making patterns (39 items). The career decision-making patterns include 16 value criterion items, 10 human category items, and 13 behavior category items. 4. Results of the study: 1) School satisfaction; There was no significant difference in school satisfaction depending on the class level and major. 2) Value criteria; a) Almost of the fisheries high school students think that the potential for advancement, job security, and salary are important factors for their job. b) The seafarer-students rated the salary, prestige of the occupation and leadership to be important than the nonseafarer-students. The nonseafarer-students rated the stabilization of their livelihood and opportunity to use their creative ideas than the seafarer-students. c) The students unsatisfied with their school emphasize the working environment, variety of work duties and leisure more than the satisfied ones. 3) Human factors: a) The fisheries high school students are affected most by their homeroom teachers, major teachers and their parents, but they are less influenced by their counselor. b) The seniors are more affected by their friends or classmates than the freshmen, and especially seafarer-students are more affected by major teachers. c) The persons, who are working in the occupation they are interested in, exert more influence on unsatisfied students than class-teachers do. 4) Behavior patterns; a) Most of them want test their abilities. b) The nonseafarer-students and seniors tend to depend on their own intuitions. c) The seafarer-students, the freshmen, and the satisfied with their school tend to discuss with other persons, and the unsatisfied tend to be influenced by the information that they collect for themselves.
Due to consumers' preferences for seeking a quality life and having more leisure time, comfortableness became a major criteria for selecting clothes for all age groups. This is why consumers' interests in knitwear increased recently. The purpose of this study is to analyze the knitwear consumption patterns such as style preferences, and consumer satisfaction with knitwear. Particularly, differences in age groups of consumers were analyzed. Data from 463 men and women participated in the study. Results indicated that consumers wear knits once or twice a week in average. After two to three years of consumption, they discard the knitwear. Among various apparel product categories, Consumers selected Cardigan to be the preferable knitwear product category. They preferred 100% cotton and achromatic or gray/brown color with solid fabrics. In general, consumers were most satisfied with colors and least satisfied with laundering of knitwear. Older consumers preferred knitwear to woven products, preferred pull-over style and valued feelings of softness and comfortableness when wearing knitwear. There were more differences in dissatisfaction factors than satisfaction factors according to the consumer age groups.
The purpose of this study is first to examine the tendency in what kinds of activities are carried out as family rituals; what kinds of obstacles there are; and why any problems, if any, tend to arise. Second, the study seeks to discern the relationship between family rituals and wives' marital satisfaction. For this purpose, the study surveyed 251 wives who had fourth, fifth, or sixth grade children and resided in Busan, and then analyzed the data obtained from the survey. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows: (1) Regarding the dinner ritual, it turned out that a majority of subjects had a difficult time establishing a regular ritual due to 'their busy schedule at work' and 'children's studying at academies'. For the weekend leisure ritual, in the case of difficulty in spending this kind of time it tended to be because of the wives' 'busy schedules at work' and 'lack of mutually available time for all family members'. In birthday rituals, when wives reported having trouble with her family members regarding birthdays, they explained that this was most often' because family members forget their birthday'. Finally, when the subjects reported problems related to tradition rituals, it was mainly because of 'stress from the burden of housework (2) In every dimensions including occurrence, routine, deliberateness, attendance, affect, and symbolic significance, the top-ranked group showed a high degree of satisfaction in their marriage.
Objectives : To explore the causes that affect the level of Yangseng(養生) certain elderly people.(Level of Yanseng; The oriental medicine tool to measure Yanseng developed to fit the situation of korea) Methods : For this purpose, characteristics, Life Satisfaction and Activities of Daily Living were adopted as independent variables and analyzed statistically. Out of questionnaires distributed to the old people aged 65 or more living in Jeonbuk province, 824 replies were collected from April to June 2004 and processed for an analysis. Results : The analysis revealed that the higher points old persons tend to score in Total of Yangseng, the more they are inclined to be Life satisfaction, the higher K-ADL they get and the longer they have leisure. Rather old men than women or rather those who live with family than those who do not have more possibility to record higher scores of Total of Yangseng(R Square=0.365). There was greater possibility that the higher points persons can get in Morality Yangseng(R Square=0.200), Mind Yangseng(R Square=0.173), Diet Yangseng(R Square=0.139), Exercise Yangseng(R Square=0.353), Sleep Yangseng(R Square=0.187), Seasonal Yangseng(R Square=0.107), Sex life Yangseng(R Square=0.199), the more they tend to be Life satisfaction. It was revealed from the analysis that the better care old people pay to Activities & Rest Yangseng, the higher K-ADL they get(R Square=0.186). Conclusions : Front the above results, it may be concluded that approaches of Oriental medicine can contribute to maintaining and promoting health as well as preventing and controlling disease for old people who are in greater needs for proper health care in the aged period.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore the factors that influence aerobic physical activity among Korean adults, including sociodemographic characteristics, health behavior, health status, social relationships, community satisfaction, and to find ways to increase aerobic physical activity among adults. Methods: In 2019, 191,152 adults in the Community Health Survey were analyzed, and complex sample frequency analysis, Rao-Scott test and complex sample logistic regression analysis were conducted by dividing them into the presence or absence of aerobic physical activity practice. Results: The rate of aerobic physical activity among adults was 36.0%, and males were higher than females. Among individual factors, gender, age, income level, smoking, drinking, weight control attempt, frequency of breakfast, obesity, quality of life, and subjective health status were factors that had a significant effect. Among social relationship factors, leisure activities and contact with neighbors at least once a week were significant factors, and only overall safety level satisfaction was a factor that had a significant effect on physical activity practice in community satisfaction factors. Conclusion: Programs focused on personal factors, social relationships, and networks should be strategically developed to improve the participation rate of adult aerobic physical activities, indicating the importance of these factors over community infrastructure. To development of community-centered professional integrated health education will be necessary in the future.
The physical environment is one of several service characteristics that are important contributors to service quality. As far as public service buildings, public community facilities serve as arenas for education, social interaction, leisure, and health activities for community districts. The purpose of this study was to investigate the physical state of public community facilities and use of public community facilities in Seoul and Suwon and to identify expectations of users toward the physical environment and service aspects. Site visits to four public community facilities were conducted and surveys were distributed for this study, with one hundred ninety two questionnaires analyzed. Results suggest that in order to provide more equal benefits and service to the public, cities should provide several smaller instead of one large complex community facility. Additionally, facility users indicated large gaps between their expectations and the current state of facilities due to lack of storage, noise and difficulty of use. In general, physical characteristics should be improved rather than employee's attitudes and service behaviors, resulting in greater service quality.
The objective of this study was to analyze the space usage and user evaluation of community facility in Apartment. This study was conducted case study and questionnaire survey. Four High rise Mixed-use Apartments in and near seoul built in 2000 and later were chosen for case study and 166 residents were collected for questionnaire survey. The frequency, percentage, mean, One-way ANOVA and Duncan tests were executed through SPSS for Win 12.0 statistics package program. The types of community facilities of High rise Mixed-use Apartments were consisted of sports, child care, study, information sharing, leisure/cultural facilities. Most of the community facilities showed to be similar regardless the subject of High rise Mixed-use Apartments. The usage percentage of community facilities increased since the residents have moved to their current residence of High rise Mixed-use Apartments from their previous residence. The most satisfied facility was sports facilities. The satisfaction of community facilities showed high in general. The satisfaction of community facilities was significant with age and the size of apartment.
