Purpose: In this study, we aim to provide fundamental database for the development of programs that will enhance the satisfactions of the dental technicians' daily life. To this end, we examined various factors that affect the subjects' social and emotional life satisfactions and their overall daily lives. Methods: Out of the random selection of the registered dental offices of Dental Technicians in Seoul, Gyeonggido, and Gangwon-do districts. Four hundred working dental technicians were asked to fill out the questionnaire from the 1st of June to the 25th of August, 2011. We collected the 355 sheets of the questionnaire and took frequency analysis, t-test, analysis of variance and structural equation modeling using SPSS Win 12.0 program. Results: The results of this study is as follows; Firstly, social satisfaction of the subjects turned out 3.71 on average, emotional satisfaction and daily life satisfaction in general were shown 2.77 and 3.19 respectively. Secondly, Age(p<.05), Career(p<.001), Working environment satisfaction(p<.001) showed significant differences in social life satisfaction area, whereas monthly earning(p<.05), working environment satisfaction(p<.001) revealed meaningful differences in the domain of emotional life satisfaction. Thirdly, in the overall satisfaction of daily lives, monthly earning(p<.05), career(p<.01), working environment satisfaction(p<.001) indicated significant difference. Conclusion: Seen from the results of this study, we purport to develop a variety of programs for better working conditions and to further research on the variables affecting the dental technicians' satisfaction of daily lives.
The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing patient satisfaction and to evaluate the utility of patient satisfaction as an outcome indicator. The study was conducted by mailed questionnaire. The subjects were 900 patients discharged from adult nursing units in a tertiary teaching hospital. On the discharge date, questionnaires were distributed by two trained research assistants. The questionnaire developed by the researchers was based on Larson(1996)'s study, and consisted of 71 items with the following components: overall satisfaction, domain-specific satisfaction(administration process, hospital facility and environment, nurses, and doctors), patients' loyalty(intention to use the health care service of the hospital in the future), recommendation to others, health benefits, and demographic characteristics. Each item was rated using a five point Likert scale ranging from '1=strongly disagree' to '5= strongly agree'. The response rate was 43%(387/900). The satisfaction level with the health care service was generally high. Perceived health status was the only significant factor influencing satisfaction level. Satisfaction with doctors contributed the most to explaining overall satisfaction. Overall satisfaction was significantly correlated with patient loyalty, recommendation, to other and perceived health benefit. It was found that the score of satisfaction was positively correlated with the score of loyalty, recommendation, and health benefit. Therefore, patient satisfaction seems to be a good outcome indicator.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the determinants of pay satisfaction of dental employees. The questionnaire used in this study consists of personal characteristics, characteristics of workplace, administration of pay, Pay satisfaction questionnaire (PSQ). PSQ was translated, and backward translation into korean was implemented. A pilot test was conducted with 25 dental employees to complete the questionnaire. Survey was conducted from February to July in 2015, receiving 323 valid responses. Anova or t-test was conducted with categorized characteristics, by calculating pay satisfaction scores. Principal factor analysis which is an exploratory factor analysis was conducted to investigate the consistency of pay satisfaction. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to investigate how much effect the variables have on pay satisfaction. The result of principal factor analysis showed that pay satisfaction consists of 3 factors which are 'paying system', 'pay level', 'benefits'. 'Pay raise' which was one of 4 factors of original PSQ was not the factor of pay satisfaction of dental employees. The result of analysis of characteristics showed that the scores of paying system between dental clinic and dental hospital had significant difference. The result of multiple regression analysis showed tendencies pay satisfaction increases when age and monthly income increases and whole career and the number of unit chairs decreases. Increasing the autonomy of employees and simplification of paying system would improve pay satisfaction efficiently. When age increases, the pay level increases because of the seniority-based pay structure, and this leads to the higher satisfaction. The higher amount of pay leads to higher satisfaction. The expectation over pay increases relatively higher than the increase of pay level and this leads to the less satisfaction. When the number of unit chairs is fewer, the workplace is smaller, so the employees have more autonomy, and this leads to higher satisfaction.
This study was conducted to evaluate the satisfaction level of interns and residents on training and job environment of two university hospitals in Pusan. The concept of subject's satisfaction was evaluated in general characteristics, socioeconomic status, working condition, human relationship, and job status and scored from 1 to 5. The newly developed questionnaire for this study(32 items) was revised and modified by the preliminary survey. The internal consistency of questionnaire was 0.73(Cronbach's alpha). The self-administered questionnaire was provided to 218 subjects and collected the answering from March 2 to March 25th, 1997, and statistical significances were tested by $x^2-test$, t-test and ANOVA. The satisfaction level between the residents group was significantly different, but satisfaction level of working condition, human relationship and job status showed no difference. The service division part showed highest(2.73) and the surgical division part showed lowest(2.57). The job satisfaction level between the subjects showed higher satisfaction level in working condition, socioeconomic status, and total satisfaction dimension, and intern group showed higher satisfaction level than resident group. Satisfaction level in human relationship dimension, resident group showed higher satisfaction level than intern group, but showed no statistically difference. To improve the working condition for residents, public welfare facilities was firstly suggested and the next was salary increase, overloaded work, respectively. For intern groups, overloaded work and waste work were firstly suggested and the next was public welfare facilities and salary increase, sequentially. The career gets longer, the satisfaction level on general characteristics of working condition, socioeconomic status, and total satisfaction level were increased. The subjects who have religion and higher socioeconomic status showed higher satisfaction level than the other group. The general satisfaction level of subjects in all dimensions showed lower aver age(3.0) and the overall satisfaction level showed below than average. Thus, in order to improvement of subject's working condition, higher quality of life is necessary rather than economic state. In future, these results might be considered to improve the working condition for interns and residents.

In this paper, we attempted to eatablish questionnaire items for evaluation of residential satisfaction level by factor analysis, and the model was developed as a function of primary component of questionnaire items. For development of residential satisfaction model, items are selected by factor analysis adn regression coefficient is estimated by the multiple linear regression analysis.
Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the impact of working environment on the subjective health symptoms in the dental hygienists. Methods: The subjects were 220 dental hygienists in Gwangju and Jeonnam. A self-reported questionnaire was completed from September 9 to 22, 2012. The questionnaire was adapted and modified from building symptom index of workers in large buildings by O. The questionnaire consisted of eight questions of the general characteristics of the subjects, 19 questions of working environment and job satisfaction, nine questions of working environment characteristics, and six questions of subjective health symptoms. The questionnaire was measured by Likert 4 scale. Cronbach's alpha in this study was 0.826. Except incomplete answers, 192 data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0 program including t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression. Results: The health symptoms were statistically and significantly different in glasses wearer and contact lens wearer, working hour satisfaction, and indoor environment(p<0.05). The subjective health symptoms were statistically different from the salary satisfaction, human relations satisfaction, office air environment, indoor environmental awareness score(p<0.05). Conclusions: It is necessary to improve the pleasant indoor working environment by providing the efficient working environment for the health care providers.
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between body cathexis and clothing satisfaction. The questionnaire was administered to 458 female college students in Daegu and Sangju and the results were obtained as follows. From the questionnaire, the 14 body parts were categorized into 4 factors, these being weight/girth, lower body, face, height/length. The bust girth was not included into one of these 4 factors. Subjects were dissatisfied with all of their body parts, especially with thigh, hip girth in the lower part of the body, as well as their weight. According to the Rohrer Index distribution, 99.2% of respondents were thin or normal, but means of respondents' satisfaction scores on weight and height were very low. To measure clothing satisfaction two factors were included, these being 'satisfaction with one's clothing selection ability' and 'satisfaction with one's own clothes'. The respondents were quite neutral on their clothing selection ability and their own clothes. Two factors about clothing satisfaction were correlated negatively. All of body cathexis factors were correlated positively with 'satisfaction with one's clothing selection ability' and were correlated slightly negatively with 'satisfaction with one's own clothes'.
Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the influencing factors of satisfaction and revisiting intention of dental implant patients. Methods: An interview and a self-reported questionnaire were completed by 190 patients in 10 dental clinics in Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam from September 17 to October 31, 2015. The questionnaire consisted of the general characteristics of the subjects and satisfaction of implant. The instrument for implant interview was adapted form Pjetursson et al. by Likert 5 points scale. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ in the study was 0.768. Data were analyzed by SPSS/AMOS version 21.0 program. Results: Cost satisfaction had direct effect on satisfaction of expectation and indirect effect on revisiting intent. Mastication satisfaction had the direct effect on satisfaction of expectation and revisiting intent, and indirect effect on revisiting intent. Satisfaction of aesthetic function had the direct effect on satisfaction of expectation, and the indirect effect on revisiting intent. Conclusions: The determining factors of successful dental implant included expenses, mastication function, and aesthetic satisfaction. The competent dental implant teamwork and appropriate expenses can satisfy the implant patients.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the quality improvement of dental prosthetic treatment and better dental service for the patients. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 320 users of dental prosthesis in Seoul and metropolitan area from April to June, The questionnaire consisted of 4 questions of general characteristics, 5 questions of dental prosthesis treatment, 5 questions of functional satisfaction, and 6 questions of psychological and aesthetic satisfaction by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha was o.691 in functional satisfaction and 0.716 in psychological and aesthetic satisfaction. Except 18 incomplete answers, 302 data were analyzed. Results: The functional satisfaction mean was $3.70{\pm}0.51$ and that of psychological aesthetic satisfaction was $3.60{\pm}0.48$. Monthly income was the most important influencing factor on full and partial prosthesis use. Conclusions: In order to improve the satisfaction level in dental prosthetic treatment, the insurance coverage for the dental prosthetic treatment is necessary. The palliative supportive measure for the prosthesis is also required.
