  • The today's rapid spread of smartphones makes it easier to use SNS. However, it reveals only their daily life or interest. Therefore, it is hard to really get to know the detailed part of multi-user's common interests. This paper proposes a content recommendation system which recommends people wanted by identifying common interests through SNS. Recommendation system includes proposal formula considering people wanted and deviation in group. After simulation, the proposed system provide high-quality adapted contents to many users by recommendation item according to the common interest. Number of cases about formula are four. It recommend contents that they have many number of 'like' and few number of deviation in users. The proposed system proves by simulations of four cases and read user's 'likes' data. It provide high-quality adapted contents to many users by recommendation item according to the common interest.

  • Water resource projects need an enormous national budget. Therefore, a reasonable and reliable decision making is required for the planning of water resource projects, but decision making has been mostly performed by economic analysis. The objective of this study is to develop a Multi-criteria Decision Making(MCDM) model which can assess the project in various aspects for the selection of preferable alternative and determination of investment priority in water resource projects. In this study, the criteria involves economic feasibility, policies, vulnerability, and sub-items which have weights obtained from the expert survey for the consistent evaluation. We also derived the utility function considering risk trend of each item based on the expert survey. Then, the total score was estimated by weights of each item and utility score of each attribute. The results show that vulnerability is a major contributor for the criteria. This study will contribute to the selection of proper water resource projects considering efficiency of project and fairness for vulnerable area.

  • Four Korean native cattle (KNC) breeds-Hanwoo, Chikso, Heugu, and Jeju black-are entered in the Domestic Animal Diversity Information System of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The objective of this study was to assess the genetic diversity, phylogenetic relationships and population structure of these KNC breeds (n = 120) and exotic breeds (Holstein and Charolais, n = 56). Thirty microsatellite loci recommended by the International Society for Animal Genetics/FAO were genotyped. These genotypes were used to determine the allele frequencies, allelic richness, heterozygosity and polymorphism information content per locus and breed. Genetic diversity was lower in Heugu and Jeju black breeds. Phylogenetic analysis, Factorial Correspondence Analysis and genetic clustering grouped each breed in its own cluster, which supported the genetic uniqueness of the KNC breeds. These results will be useful for conservation and management of KNC breeds as animal genetic resources.

  • Natural language encountered in construction documents largely deviates from those that are recommended by the authorities. Such practice that is lacking in coherence will discourage integrated research with automation, and it will hurt the productivity in the industry for the long run. This research aims to compare multiple string similarity (string matching) algorithms to compare each algorithm's performance in recognizing the same task name written in multiple different ways. We also aim to start a debate on how prevalent the aforementioned deviation is. Finally, we composed a small dataset that associates construction task names found in practice with the corresponding task names that are less cluttered w.r.t their formatting. We expect that this dataset can be used to validate future natural language processing approaches.

  • This study is to find construction factors of assessing the support needs of people with intellectual disabilities. For this purpose, 19 social welfare activists of the disabled having experiences in individual support services interviewed 196 persons with intellectual disabilities and based on the interview results, confirmatory factor analysis has been conducted. The study has found a construct of 6 areas and 20 items to assess the support needs. Compared to ICF and SIS-A, it shows the health care area has been emphasized while community life, social life and civic life have decreased. The study discusses the possibility of using the simple scale in the early stage of introduction of individual support services for people with intellectual disabilities in South Korea and the normative scores are needed to be produced by additional larger scale survey studies in the future.

  • Feedback burden of a full-digital energy beamforming, which is known as the optimal precoding scheme for radio frequency (RF) energy transfer, is huge because it uses a vector quantization for a channel feedback. To reduce the feedback burden, we consider a beam steering based wireless energy transfer, which uses a scalar quantization. Researches related to the beam steering based wireless energy transfer have been studied in special channel model with an assumption of full channel state information at the transmitter. In this paper, we analyze the beam steering scheme compared with the full-digital energy beamforming for practical channel models with channel estimation errors. According to characteristics of the millimeter wave channel, the number of antennas of the base station and the user, the distance between them, and channel estimation errors, we simulate the performance of the beam steering scheme and analyze reasons why.

  • Objectives: The major objective of this study is the oral dose toxicity test and skin irritation test of eco-friendly plasticizer using crude glycerol derived from the biodiesel process. Methods: Glyceroldiacetate laurate(GDL) was synthesized from glycerol monolaurat(GML) and acetic acid. The synthesis of the GDL plasticizer was measured with nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscop(NMR) and FT-IR(Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer). To provide information on the safety of GDL, we carried out an oral dose toxicity test for GDL in Sprague-Dawley rats. Also, we carried out a skin irritation test for GDL in New Zealand White rabbits. Results: The oral dose toxicity test in Sprague-Dawley rats showed that GDL is a non-toxic material. The result of the skin irritation test on New Zealand White rabbits showed that GDL is non-irritating. Conclusions: From the results of oral dose toxicity test and skin irritation test, we concluded that the developed plasticizer showed excellent eco-friendly property. Based on our results, we confirmed the development of an eco-friendly non-phthalate plasticizer. Applicability for PVC toys and food and drug packaging materials was found.

  • To prevent the shear failure that occurs abruptly with no sufficient warning, the minimum amount of shear reinforcement should be provided to reinforced concrete(RC) beams. The minimum amount of shear reinforcement of RC beams is influenced by not only compressive strength of concrete but also shear span-to-depth ratio and ratio of tensile longitudinal reinforcement. In this paper, 14 RC beams were tested in order to observe the influences of shear span-to-depth ratio, ratio of tensile longitudinal reinforcement, and compressive strength of concrete. The test results indicated that the rate of shear strength to the diagonal cracking strength of RC beams with the same amount of shear reinforcement increased as the ratio of tensile longitudinal reinforcement increased, while it decreased as the shear span-to-depth ratio increased. The observed test results were compared with the calculated results by the current ACI 318-02 Building Code and the proposed equation.

  • Objectives: This study compared the mechanical efficacy of sonic activated and passive ultrasonic irrigation for removing intracanal medicament from a simulated root canal under controlled conditions. Materials and Methods: Thirty simulated root canal in resin blocks were randomly divided into 3-groups. The canals were enlarged using ProTaper files and K3XF (#30/0.06). After cleaning and drying, canals were filled with Calcipex. Overfilled materials were wiped out and measured their weight to the unit of 1/10mg. After one week storage in 100% humidity $37^{\circ}C$ temperature, canals were irrigated using 20mL of saline with one of following methods according to the designated groups (n = 10). For group-NI, 30-gauge nickel-titanium irrigation needle was used. During irrigation with every 5mL, needle was moved in-and-out with 4-mm amplitudes. EndoActivator and ultrasonic tip were used for group-EA and group-UT respectively for 20 seconds after every 5mL irrigation using needle. Then the weight was measured again to calculate the weight of residual remnants. The data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and Duncan's post-hoc test at a significance level of 95%. Results: The weight of the residual medicaments were $3.62{\pm}0.81mg$, $2.84{\pm}0.28mg$, and $2.73{\pm}0.90mg$ for group-NI, -EA, and -UT, respectively. Group-EA and group-UT had no significant differences to remove intracanal medicament and left significantly less amount of paste than group-NI (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Under the controlled conditions of this study, the sonic activation and PUI have similar mechanical efficacy for removing intracanal medicament.
