  • It is desirable that the management of human resources, as a strategy for the competition, should be the necessity for the hotel industries to survive in the rapid change and continuous development In other words, the management of enterprise provides the foundation to form human relationship, just as the hospitality industry operates with human relationship. Here by, all the problems out hotels have faced are that our hotels should look for a new human resources. The control of human resources in hotels means that if does not only satisfy hotels, employees, and guests but improves the personal ability. also it is important for the method of hotel operation as a management. Therefor, hotel managers have to get a good human resources, at the same time, improve the potential ability from them in order to get development for industries and a person. This study in the effective project for the human resources in hotels is relation to the organization of hotel sand he factor of human resources. This research if focused on the property of classification each factor in the control of human resources. according to the classification, the relationship and an effect are commonly made in groups of properties and are named respectively.

  • In this study, centrifugal model tests were performed to investigate the behavior of excavated earth retaining wall with the depth of excavation and different types of wall(aluminum, steel panel). Jumunjin standard sand was used for foundation soil. The raining method was adopted to form the required relative density of the model ground. The lateral earth pressure measured from tests were compared with estimated active earth pressure by Rankine's theory. The test results have shown that the earth pressure acting on the retaining wall and the rotation displacement of the wall are influenced by the depth of excavation and the type of wall. It was found from the test results that the deformation of the wall increases with the depth of excavation.

  • In this study, Calibration Chamber Tests for cast-in-place piles in sand were performed for measuring behavior properties of piles. These tests were examined effects of various parameters of soil conditions including the relative density($D_R$), the coefficient of earth pressure, and investigated differences between cylindrical pile and taper-shaped pile with the same volumes. The important effect factors of foundation behavior were investigated by considering embedded depth of piles and shapes of piles, and inspected details of lateral behavior of piles. These results were verified reliabilities of each methods for comparing the results estimated with tests and the results by proposed estimating solutions in the past.

  • In this paper, the measured results obtained from the ground improved by SCP method at quay-wall caisson foundation in Pusan New Port 1-1 phase are analyzed and then compared with the values predicted by a consolidation theory. The measured settlement is generally smaller than the predicted settlement. For consolidation velocity, the measured velocity is later than the predicted value. According to the execution of caisson placing phases, the predicted value shows higher settlement than the measured one with time being.

  • Centrifuge model tests of cantilever retaining wall were performed to investigate the vertical stress distribution due to selfweight of backfill material. Model tests were carried out to find the effect of arching action on vertical stress distribution by changing the roughness of rigid boundary slope and the distance between retaining wall and boudary slope. A reduced scale model of cantilever retaining wall was made with concrete and Jumunjin Standary Sand with 80 % of relative density was used as foundation and backfill material. Centrifuge tests were performed by increasing g-level up to 40 g with measuring vertical stress induced by selfweight of backfill material. Test results on vertical stress distribution were analyzed and compared with results of Silo theory.

  • There is a significant discrepancy between manufacturing strategy and quality management. This paper attempts to review the literature of manufacturing strategy model in quality perspective The objective of the paper is to clarify the quality aspect of manufacturing strategy models for a better understanding of the subject and to lay a foundation to integrate manufacturing strategy with quality management. The paper is organized as follows. First, the literature review on the issue is presented. The trade-off model, lean production model, cumulative model, sand cone model, quality staircase model are critically reviewed. Next, the discussion on the review model is brought. Finally, conclusions are presented.

  • The aim of the study was to identify the effects of two different diets (sand eels or saurels) on the serum protein electrophoretic patterns of Oriental White Storks held in captivity. The tests were performed on two groups of storks according to the diet (group 1 and 2). Twenty-two (group 1) or twenty-nine (group 2) storks were included. The values of complete blood count (CBC), serum biochemistry profiles, protein fractions (albumin, ${\alpha}$-globulin, ${\beta}$-globulin, and ${\gamma}$-globulin), and lipoprotein (high density- [HDL] and low density lipoprotein [LDL]) were compared between samples obtained during two groups (p < 0.05). The ${\alpha}$-globulin fraction was decreased and the ${\beta}$-globulin fraction was significantly increased in samples obtained from group 1 compared to those obtained from group 2. In group 1, the concentration of LDL was also significantly increased compared to that of group 2. In conclusion, we confirmed that the ${\beta}$-globulin fraction was significantly elevated in storks fed sand eels.

  • Piles that support offshore wind turbine structures are dominantly subjected to cyclic lateral loads of wind, waves, and tidal forces. For a successful design, it is imperative to investigate the behavior of the cyclic laterally loaded piles; the p-y curve method, in which the pile and soil are characterized as an elastic beam and nonlinear springs, respectively, has been typically utilized. In this study, model pile tests were performed in a 1 g gravitational field so as to investigate the p-y behaviors of cyclic laterally loaded piles installed in saturated dense silty sand. Test results showed that cyclic lateral loads gradually reduced the overall stiffness of the p-y curves (initial stiffness and ultimate soil reaction). This is because the cyclic lateral loads disturbed the surrounding soil, which led to the decrement of the soil resistance. The decrement effects of the overall stiffness of the p-y curves became more apparent as the magnitude of cyclic lateral load increased and approached the soil surface. From the test results, the cyclic p-y curve was developed using a p-y backbone curve method. Pseudo-static analysis was also performed with the developed cyclic p-y curve, confirming that it was able to properly predict the behaviors of cyclic laterally loaded pile installed in saturated dense silty sand.

  • Recently, engineering problems such as long-term settlement, differential settlement, and the resultant structural damage, have been frequently reported at construction sites. Use of Sand Compaction Piles(SCP) and Granular Compaction Piles(GCP) are good at remedying existing problems, improving bearing capacity and promoting consolidation. However, such compaction piles have the potential for clogging, which would limit their usability. Investigations into the potential for clogging in SCP, GCP, and GCP mixed with sand has not been thoroughly conducted and is the objective of this current study. Large scale direct shear tests were performed on sections of SCP, GCP, and sand mixed GCP to evaluate bearing capacity. Discrete Element Method analyses were conducted with PFC3D and Finite Element Analyses were conducted with MIDAS GTS to propose an algorithm to help reduce clogging in the granular compaction piles. Results from the large scale direct shear test and multiple simulations suggest a 70% gravel and 30% sand mixing ratio to be optimal for bearing capacity and reducing clogging.
