Purpose: The main objective of this study was to develop a continuing education program for school health nurses using the Internet, and evaluate the satisfaction of users. Method: A survey using a self reported questionnaire was done to identify areas where education is needed. A stratified random sampling method was employed to select 1.746 school health nurses and to receive the respondings from 584 school health nurses. The contents of the module for the education program were determined to be counseling and teaching techniques to meet health care needs related to sex, and cessation of smoking. The researchers wrote the educational content for the program, and the storyboards and illustrations appropriate to the module were constructed and the domain was registered. The web site was named 'www.healthyyouth.org'. Results: Three topics were identified where education is needed: youth and sex, youth and smoking, and counseling techniques for children, and programs were developed under the web site named. 'www.healthyyouth.org'. Over 90 percent of the respondents reported that the web site was useful and 100 percent reported that they would recommend the web site to other school health nurses. Conclusion: The web based program allowed school health nurses to study and improve their health care knowledge and skills. Since almost all schools in Korea have personal computers in the infirmary, accessibility to the program is excellent. Based on the results of this study, this type of education program will be a useful method for the continuing education of school health nurses.
Purpose : Methode an effective block was investigated to deal with volatile radioactive gas, short lived radioactive waste generated as a result of the routinely produced radiopharmaceuticals FDG (2-deoxy-2-[$^{18}F$]fluoro-D-glucose) and compound with $^{11}C$. There have been serious soil erosion and water pollution problems caused by highland agriculture practices at Doam-dam watershed. Especially agricultural activities, chemical and organic fertilizer and pesticide applications, soil reconditioning to maintain soil fertility are known as primary causes of soil erosion and water qaulity degradation in the receiving water bodies. Among these, soil reconditioning can accelerate soil erosion rates. To develop soil erosion prevention practices, it is necessary to estimate the soil erosion from the watershed. Thus, the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) model has been developed and utilized to assess soil erosion. However, the USLE model cannot be used at watershed scale because it does not consider sediment delivery ratio (SDR) for watershed application. For this reason, the Sediment Assessment Tool for Effective Erosion Control (SA TEEC) was developed to assess the sediment yield at any point in the watershed. The USLE-based SA TEEC system can estimate the SDR using area-based SDR and slope-based SDR module. In this study, the SATEEC system was used to estimate soil erosion and sediment yield at the Doam-dam watershed using the soil properties from reconditioned agricultural fields. Based on the soil sampling and analysis, the US LE K factor was calculated and used in the SA TEEC system to analyze the possible errors of previous USLE application studies using soil properties from the digital soil map, and compared with that using soil properties obtained in this study. The estimated soil erosion at the Doam-dam watershed without using soil properties obtained in the soil sampling and analysis is 1,791,400 ton/year (123 ton/ha/year), while the soil erosion amount is 2,429,900 ton/year (166.8 ton/ha/year) with the use of soil properties from the soil sampling and analysis. There is 35 % increase in estimated soil erosion and sediment yield with the use of soil properties from soil reconditioned agricultural fields. Since significant amount of soil erosion are known to be occurring from the agricultural fields, the soil erosion and sediment yield from only agricultural fields was assessed. The soil erosion rate is 45.9 ton/ha/year without considering soil properties from soil reconditioned agricultural fields, while 105.3 ton/ha/year after considering soil properties obtained in this study, increased in 129%. This study shows that it is very important to use correct soil properties to assess soil erosion and sediment yield simulation. It is recommended that further studies are needed to develop environment friendly soil reconditioning method should be developed and implemented to decrease the speed of soil erosion rates and water quality degradation.

The low phase noise and wideband frequency synthesizer has been designed by using YTO. Offset PLL structure is used for reducing a division ratio of feedback loop. The phase noise modeling is applied to optimize loop filter of PLL and YTO module. And DDS is used as reference signal of frequency synthesizer for fine resolution. The fabricated wideband frequency synthesizer has the output frequency of 3.2 GHz to 6.8 GHz, phase noise of -107 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset from the carrier and frequency resolution of 1 Hz. The measured phase noise is well agreed with the simulated one.
In this paper, we consider a typical health care system via the help of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) for wireless patient tracking. The wireless patient tracking module of this system performs localization out of samples of Received Signal Strength (RSS) variations and tracking through a Particle Filter (PF) for WSN assisted by multiple transmit-power information. We propose a modified PF, Kullback-Leibler Distance (KLD)-resampling PF, to ameliorate the effect of RSS variations by generating a sample set near the high-likelihood region for improving the wireless patient tracking. The key idea of this method is to approximate a discrete distribution with an upper bound error on the KLD for reducing both location error and the number of particles used. To determine this bound error, an optimal algorithm is proposed based on the maximum gap error between the proposal and Sampling Important Resampling (SIR) algorithms. By setting up these values, a number of simulations using the health care system's data sets which contains the real RSSI measurements to evaluate the location error in term of various power levels and density nodes for all methods. Finally, we point out the effect of different power levels vs. different density nodes for the wireless patient tracking.
We have developed biological signal measurement modules and data acquisition and control card for a biological signal measurement, archiving, and communication system (SiMACS). Biological signals included in this system are ECG, EEG, EMG, invasive blood pressure, respiration, and temperature. Parameters of each module can be controlled by PC-base IDPU (intelligent data processing unit) through a data acquisition and control card. The data acquisition and control card can collect up to 16 channels of biological signals with sampling rate of $50\;{\sim}\;2,000Hz$ and 12-bit resolution. All measurement moduls and data acquisition functions are controlled by microcontroller which receives commands from PC. All data transfers among PC, microcontroller, and ADC are done through a shared RAM access by polling method for real rime operation.
In WSN(Wireless Sensor Network) environment, a large amount of sensors, which are small and heterogeneous, generates data stream successively in physical space. These sensors are composed of measured data and metadata. Metadata includes various features such as location, sampling time, measurement unit, and their types. Until now, wireless sensors have been managed with individual specification, not the explicit standardization of metadata, so it is difficult to collect and communicate between heterogeneous sensors. To solve this problem, OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) has proposed a SensorML(Sensor Model Language) which can manage metadata of heterogeneous sensors with unique format. In this paper, we introduce a metadata model using SensorML specification to manage various sensors, which are distributed in a wide scope. In addition, we implement the metadata management module applied to the sensor data stream management system. We provide many functions, namely generating metadata file, registering and storing them according to definition of SensorML.

This paper describes a CMOS image sensor (CIS) with dual correlated double sampling (CDS) and column-parallel analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and its measurement method using a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) integrated module. The CIS is composed of a $320{\times}240$ pixel array with $3.2{\mu}m{\times}3.2{\mu}m$ pixels and column-parallel 10-bit single-slope ADCs. It is fabricated in a $0.11-{\mu}m$ CIS process, and consumes 49.2 mW from 1.5 V and 3.3 V power supplies while operating at 6.25 MHz. The measured dynamic range is 53.72 dB, and the total and column fixed pattern noise in a dark condition are 0.10% and 0.029%. The maximum integral nonlinearity and the differential nonlinearity of the ADC are +1.15 / -1.74 LSB and +0.63 / -0.56 LSB, respectively.
This research measures EEG signals which are generating on head skin and extracts brain concentration level related with brain activity. We have developed concentration wireless transmission system by displaying this EEG signal on PDA mobile device. The front head was used for measuring EEG signal and INA128 with TL084 and analog elements was used for measuring EEG signal, amplifying and filtering the signal. Measured analog EEG signals changed into digital signals by using ADC of PIC24FJ192 with 10bit resolution and 500Ks/s sampling rate. So The changed digital signals have transmitted to the PDA by using bluetooth. LabView 8.5 was also used for FFT transformation, frequency and spectrum analysis of the transferred EEG signal. As a result, $\alpha$ wave, $\beta$ wave, $\theta$ wave and $\delta$ wave were classified. we extracted the concentration index by adapting concentration extraction algorithm. This concentration index was transferred into PDA by wireless module and displaying.

The global ultrasonic system for the self-localization of a mobile robot consists of several ultrasonic transmitters fixed at some reference positions in the global coordinates of robot environment. By activating the ultrasonic transmitters, the mobile robot is able to get the distance to the ultrasonic transmitters and compute its own position in the global coordinate. Due to the limitation on the ultrasonic signal strength and beam width as well as the environmental obstacles however, the ultrasonic signals from some generator may not be transmitted to the robot. Thus, instead of activating the all ultrasonic transmitters, it is necessary to select some ultrasonic generators to activate based on the current robot position. In this paper, we propose a selective activation algorithm for self-localization with the global ultrasonic system. The selective activation algorithm gets the meaningful ultrasonic data at every sampling instants, which results in the faster and more accurate response of the self-localization than the conventional sequential activation. Through the self-localization and path following control, we verify the effectiveness of the proposed selective activation algorithm.
