In order to suggest recyling and handling method of a tailing, observe it's physical and chemical properties, make an quality test of aggregates which are used a tailing and then examine a applied possibility in architectural materials. Tailing has a ununiform and many-side shape and it is organized quartz, muscovite, calcite, montmorillonite. pH is 6.86-7.28 and the result of leaching test is that Hg and Pb exceed of a standard. The specific gravity of aggregates which are used tailing is 1.95-2.23 and the absorption factor is 9-14.67%. The result of test for abrasion and crushing of aggregates which are used BFS is very excellent. The heavy metal is stabilized but a eruption property of Hg is similar to original sample.
To accommodate various navigational commands, a humanoid should be able to change its walking motion in real time. Using the modifiable walking pattern generation (MWPG) algorithm, a humanoid can handle dynamic walking commands by changing its walking period, step length, and direction independently. If the humanoid is given a command to perform an infeasible movement, the algorithm substitutes the infeasible command with a feasible one using binary search. The feasible navigational command is subsequently translated into the desired center-of-mass (CM) state. Every sample time CM reference is generated using a zero-moment-point (ZMP) variation scheme. Based on this algorithm, various complex walking patterns can be generated, including backward and sideways walking, without detailed consideration of the feasibility of the navigational commands. In a previous study, the effectiveness of the MWPG algorithm was verified by dynamic simulation. This paper presents experimental results obtained using the small-sized humanoid robot platform DARwIn-OP.
Background: Microfluidics is of considerable importance in food and agricultural industries. Microfluidics processes low volumes of fluids in channels with extremely small dimensions of tens of micrometers. It enables the miniaturization of analytical devices and reductions in cost and turnaround times. This allows automation, high-throughput analysis, and processing in food and agricultural applications. Purpose: This review aims to provide information on the applications of microfluidics in the agro-food sector to overcome limitations posed by conventional technologies. Results: Microfluidics contributes to medical diagnosis, biological analysis, drug discovery, chemical synthesis, biotechnology, gene sequencing, and ecology. Recently, the applications of microfluidics in food and agricultural industries have increased. A few examples of these applications include food safety analysis, food processing, and animal production. This study examines the fundamentals of microfluidics including fabrication, control, applications, and future trends of microfluidics in the agro-food sector. Conclusions: Future research efforts should focus on developing a small portable platform with modules for fluid handling, sample preparation, and signal detection electronics.
We introduce a technical approach for reducing three-dimensional infrared (IR) spectroscopic data generated by integral field spectroscopy or slit-scanning observations. The first part of data reduction using IRAF presents a guideline for processing spectral images from long-slit IR spectroscopy. Multichannel image reconstruction, Image Analysis and Display (MIRIAD) is used in the later part to construct and analyze the data cubes which contain spatial and kinematic information of the objects. This technic has been applied to a sample data set of diffuse 2.1218 ${\mu}m$$H_2$ 1-0 S(1) emission features observed by slit-scanning around Sgr A East in the Galactic center. Details of image processing for the high-dispersion infrared data are described to suggest a sequence of contamination cleaning and distortion correction. Practical solutions for handling data cubes are presented for survey observations with various configurations of slit positioning.

The officer of the deck(OOD) may sometimes have to carry out lookout as well as handling of auto pilot without a quartermaster at sea. The purpose of this paper is to develop the ship's auto pilot control module using speech recognition in order to reduce the potential risk of one man bridge system. The feature parameters predicting the OOD's intention was extracted from the sample wheel orders written in SMCP(IMO Standard Marine Communication Phrases). We designed a pre-recognition procedure which could make some candidate words using DTW(Dynamic Time Warping) algorithm, a post-recognition procedure which made a final decision from the candidate words using the feature parameters. To evaluate the effectiveness of these procedures the experiment was conducted with 500 wheel orders.
This paper presents two kinds of new approaches, one of which is concerned with recognition of emotional speech such as anger, happiness, normal, sadness, or surprise. The other is concerned with emotion recognition in speech. For the proposed speech recognition system handling human speech with emotional states, total nine kinds of prosodic features were first extracted and then given to prosodic identifier. In evaluation, the recognition results on emotional speech showed that the rates using proposed method increased more greatly than the existing speech recognizer. For recognition of emotion, on the other hands, four kinds of prosodic parameters such as pitch, energy, and their derivatives were proposed, that were then trained by discrete duration continuous hidden Markov models(DDCHMM) for recognition. In this approach, the emotional models were adapted by specific speaker's speech, using maximum a posteriori(MAP) estimation. In evaluation, the recognition results on emotional states showed that the rates on the vocal emotions gradually increased with an increase of adaptation sample number.

To intergrate finite elements Into CAD enviroment, design oriented structure of the finite element program is desirable. For this purpose a program called CFEP has been developed. Generation of geometry data is independently treated in the program to ease the modification of property or loading data. By conveniently handling the large number of load cases with various load combinations, and by comprehensively reporting the results through inclusive output for the multiple analyses, the program greatly facilitates the design process. Interfacing with interactive graphic post-processor, the results of analyses and final designed values are obtained in a compact and comprehensive manner. The paper also describes necessary tasks for developing such program on the economical microcomputer. Sample output of printed and graphical form well illustrates the procedure.
Much of the increase in agricultural productivity over the past half century has been due to the control of the pests with synthetic pesticides. The use of these pesticides has caused environmental problems and public health concern. The guidelines of maximum residue levels of pesticides in agricultural products has been well documented but more careful monitoring of their residues is required. Pyrethorid class pesticides are dominant in modern agricultural industry but public health concerns have been recently considered. The major route of pesticide exposure is the diet and with improved surveillance of pyrethorid residues in agricultural products their exposure should be controlled and minimized. In suitable products with reduced matrix effects such as agricultural products, aqueous samples, fruits and vegetables the use of immunoassays for pyrethorid residue monitoring could satisfy this requirement. Immunoassays have several advantages, namely they are highly sensitive, selective and cost-effective and enable large-scale sample handling and analysis in the laboratory.
In this study, Nylon 6,6 electrospun (ES) nanofiber filter media were prepared at various spinning conditions. The ES filters tested had no intrinsic electrical charges. The ES filters were triboelectrically charged in the course of filter sample handling, and the charge was drastically decayed in a few hours. On the other hand, the corona charged melt blown filter media showed a permanent electrical charge. The electrical charge state of the ES filters was also examined by comparing collection efficiencies of ES filters for uncharged and charged aerosol particles.
This study was conducted to evaluate the methods used in nursing procedures for infection control. Skilled nursing procedures are related to prevention of hospital infection. The sample consisted of 301 nurses’ response to the questionnaire. Data were collected from Feb. to March, 1993 from 35 hospitals located in five major cities. The findings of the study are as follows : 1) Rotatively unsafe nursing procedures were reported for preperation of IV therapy, change of IV site and aseptic dressing on IV site, hand wash-ing and use of paper towels, use of sterile urine bottle with indwelling urinary catheter, management of dressing cart, disinfection of transfer forcep, ambu respirator, laryngoscope, humidifier and handling of incubator. 2) Relatively safe nursing procedures were reported for management of suction tube, marking for contaminated materials and waste collection. The rate of participation in education programs for infection control by the nurses was higher than in other research results. 3) Further study on procedures for IV site in-fusion and care of dressing cart are recommended.
