문형식 표지판 지지대의 모멘트 분포와 변형에 대한 해석 및 안정성 분석

  • In this paper, an systematic approach is presented, in which the bridge-type traffic sign structure is body out by CSDDA PrePost Processor. There is dead load and wind load that is working on the structure which will make force and moment. Analyzied the stress distribution of the standard form and by changing the shape, compared the safety in terms of deflection and stress (with the standard form) to know the effect of each component in the bridge-type traffic sign structure. The safety of deflection and stress is evaluated by maximum distance/100) and ASIC code respectively. The standard form of bridge-type traffic sign structure is established by two pairs of pillar and two pairs of floor beam. Replaced the links which is consist of flange and screws as the torsion spring and nm our analysis program. By adjusting variable of rigidity modulus of torsion spring, moment between column and beam is controled depending on value of rigidity modulus.

The Road Traffic Sign Recognition and Automatic Positioning for Road Facility Management (도로시설물 관리를 위한 교통안전표지 인식 및 자동위치 취득 방법 연구)

  • PURPOSES: This study is to develop a road traffic sign recognition and automatic positioning for road facility management. METHODS: In this study, we installed the GPS, IMU, DMI, camera, laser sensor on the van and surveyed the car position, fore-sight image, point cloud of traffic signs. To insert automatic position of traffic sign, the automatic traffic sign recognition S/W developed and it can log the traffic sign type and approximate position, this study suggests a methodology to transform the laser point-cloud to the map coordinate system with the 3D axis rotation algorithm. RESULTS: Result show that on a clear day, traffic sign recognition ratio is 92.98%, and on cloudy day recognition ratio is 80.58%. To insert exact traffic sign position. This study examined the point difference with the road surveying results. The result RMSE is 0.227m and average is 1.51m which is the GPS positioning error. Including these error we can insert the traffic sign position within 1.51m CONCLUSIONS: As a result of this study, we can automatically survey the traffic sign type, position data of the traffic sign position error and analysis the road safety, speed limit consistency, which can be used in traffic sign DB.

  • Since chevron alignment sign provides a user with information of road's alignment, it plays an important role in improving the safety aspects of the highway. Currently, it is installed without reasonable design specifications and maintained under insufficient labor and working time. This study, therefore, reviewed the current specifications involving design, installation, shape, and color and several alternatives were generated. The readibility and visibility were chosen as measure of effectiveness to compass these alternatives. Furthermore, spacing of sign was evaluated. The field study resulted that yellow background with black sign was more realible and visible than the other alternatives.

  • Information technology improves convenience, safety, and performance of automobiles. Recently, a lot of algorithms are studied to provide safety and environment information for driving, and traffic sign recognition is one of them. It can provide important information for safety driving. In this paper, we propose a method for traffic sign detection and identification concentrating on reducing the computation time. First, potential traffic signs are segmented by color threshold, and a polygon approximation algorithm is used to detect appropriate polygons. The potential signs are compared with the template signs in the database using SURF and ORB feature matching method.

  • Because of road construction and expansion, Update of the road traffic facilities DB is steadily increased each year, and, Increasing drivers and cars, safety signs for traffic safety are required management and additional installation continuously. To update Safety Sign database promptly, we have developed auto recognition function of safety sign, and analyzed coordinates accuracy. The purpose of this study was to propose methods to update about road traffic facilities efficiently. For this purpose, omni-directional camera was calibrated for acquisition of 3-dimensional coordinates, integrated GPS/IMU/DMI system and applied image processing. In this experiment, we proposed a effective method to update database of road traffic facilities for digital map.

Real-time Intelligent Exit Path Indicator Using BLE Beacon Enabled Emergency Exit Sign Controller

  • Emergency lights and exit signs are an indispensable part of safety precautions for effective evacuation in case of emergency in public buildings. These emergency sign indicates safe escape routes and emergency doors, using an internationally recognizable sign. However visibility of those signs drops drastically in case of emergency situations like fire smoke, etc. and loss of visibility causes serious problems for safety evacuation. This paper propose a novel emergency light and exit sign built-in with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Beacon to assist the emergency self-guiding evacuation using devices for crisis and emergency management to avoid panic condition inside the buildings. In this approach, the emergency light and exit sign with the BLE beacons deployed in the indoor environments and the smart devices detect their indoor positions, direction to move, and next exit sign position from beacon messages and interact with map server in the Internet / Intranet over the available LTE and/or Wi-Fi network connectivity. The map server generate an optimal emergency exit path according to the nearest emergency exit based on a novel graph generation method for less route computation for each smart device. All emergency exit path data interfaces among three system components, the emergency exit signs, map server, and smart devices, have been defined for modular implementation of our emergency evacuation system. The proposed exit sign experimental system has been deployed and evaluated in real-time building environment thoroughly and gives a good evidence that the modular design of the proposed exit sign system and a novel approach to compute emergency exit path route based on the BLE beacon message, map server, and smart devices is competitive and viable.

  • This paper realizes a system that recognizes traffic safety signs by applying the principle used for game in reverse. The game used for this paper is one that expresses the shape of temporary objects intended by the maker when the maker sees the numerical image provided on (x, y) coordinates and then expresses it on the mesh. After separating the traffic safety sign image from the input image, the system is realized by outputting the content of the sign into letters by recognizing the forms and colors constituting the sign using the puzzle game above. Our system has fast process time and better rate of recognition than the existing system with black-and-white image processing and recognition without any penciling progress.

  • 일반적으로 인간은 외부로부터 정보의 85% 이상을 '시각'을 통해 얻고 있으며 색(色)-형(形)-Texture(質感)의 순으로 사물을 인식한다. 그래서 인간은 예전부터 위험상황에 대응하기 위해 대상의 정보를 신속하게 전달하는 수단으로 색채를 활용해 왔으며, 안전색채는 이러한 색의 속성을 이용 위험으로부터 안전을 확보하기 위해 적용되어왔다. 현재 안전에 관한 정보를 제공하는 시스템에는 언어나 문자사용을 가능한 한 사용하지 않고 안전표지를 국제적으로 표준화하여 사용하는 것이 바람직하며 실제로 국제표준기구(ISO)가 제정한 '안전색채 및 안전표지(ISO3864)'를 채택하거나 자국의 실정에 맞춰 일부 변경 사용하고 있다. 또한 안전표지는 색만이 아니고 그것을 표시하는 형까지 포함 사용되며 형태는 표시 물건에 따라 다양하며 또한 색채가 일으키는 심리 작용을 이용하여 주의를 환기하거나 위험을 경고하며 위험방지 및 긴급사태에 대한 대응을 목적으로 하고 있다. 안전색채 및 안전표지의 목적은 안전 및 건강에 영향을 미치는 대상물 및 장소에 신속하게 주의를 촉구하는데 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 안전색채와 안전표지에 대해 알아보고 이를 사용한 실례를 통하여 안전색채와 안전표지의 색채 및 디자인에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

  • Traffic sign recognition plays an important role in solving traffic-related problems. Traffic sign recognition and classification systems are key components for traffic safety, traffic monitoring, autonomous driving services, and autonomous vehicles. A lightweight model, applicable to portable devices, is an essential aspect of the design agenda. We suggest a lightweight convolutional neural network model with residual blocks for traffic sign recognition systems. The proposed model shows very competitive results on publicly available benchmark data.

Evaluation of the Alternative Safety Signs for the Hazard of Nano Materials (나노 물질 안전보건 표지 대안들에 대한 평가)

  • Although nano materials are used a lot in industries, there has not been any standard nano hazard graphic symbol. An experiment was conducted to know the comprehension ratio of newly designed eight nano graphic symbols. To compare the symbols with existing safety graphic symbols, other sixteen symbols were also included. 54 subjects evaluated the difficulties of graphic symbols on seven point Likert scale and answered the meaning for each symbol. The all eight nano safety symbols marked under 30% comprehension ratio. However, one of them didn't show any statistically significant difference with other existing safety symbols as like bio hazard, radiation, and laser. Therefore the nano symbol tested in the best could be adopted as the nano safety graphic symbol if it is sufficiently exposed in training period and used with warning label. The workers in industries using nano materials can be alerted and protect themselves where the sign is attached.
