승용차의 조타륜 쉬미에 대한 실험적 고찰 (Experimental Analysis for Steering Wheel Shimmy in Passenger Vehicle)

  • The steering wheel vibrations such as shimmy, brake judder and shake are affected by the vibration characters of steering and suspension. For the analysis of shimmy, nonuniformities of tire can be considered the major sources. This study investigates unbalances and uniformities of tire in which the lateral force variation is highly correlated with shimmy. The hardness of suspension bushes can be modified to change the dynamic behavior of suspension that is effective to reduce the sensitivity of shimmy.

  • 공침법에 의하여 얻어진 고순도 극미립자인 $BaTiO_3$ 분말의 분산거동을 조사하였다 분산매로는 수용매와 비수용매인 methyl ethyl ketone(MEK)과 ethanol (ETOH)을 이용하였다 Suspension 에서의 입자의 분산상태는 pH 변화와 MEK, ETOH의 몰 비를 조절하여 각각의 suspensions에 polymer(polyvinyl butyral)를 첨가시켜 변화하였으며 그 거동은 유동학적 성질 침강 거동 electrokinetic 성질을 측정함으로써 파악되었다 비 수용매의 몰 비가 3:1 MEK/ETOH-$BaTiO_3$에서 polymer를 0.5~1% 첨가시켰을 때 입자의 분산이 가장 잘 이루어졌다.

  • Computer simulation is carried out for passive, active, and semi-active suspension system. Each RMS and frequency response to road profile input is calculated for comparison and evaluation of the performance. The vibration analysis and active control of the quarter model of a vehicle suspension is studied in order to evaluate the alternative control laws. This paper derives an optimal closed-loop feedback law for the semi-active suspension that justifies the clipped optimal approach.

  • The jumper devices of overhead transmission lines are getting increased in size with the adaptation of higher voltage and bundled conductor. Incensement of jumper devices size caused to large swing angle and flashover with tower post or arm. The suspension I type string type jumper devices are used for swing restraint of suspension type. This paper is compared and analysized to its swing characteristics. The results showed that suspension I string type has a good effects.

Electrical and Rheological Properties of Chitosan Malonate Suspension

  • The electrical and rheological properties of a chitosan malonate suspension in silicone oil was investigated by varying the electric fields, volume fractions of particles, and shear rates, respectively, The chitosan malonate susepnsion showed a typical electrorheological (ER) response caused by the polarizability of an amide polar group and shear yield stress due to the formation of multiple chains upon application of an electric field. The shear stress fur the suspension exhibited a linear dependence on the volume fraction and an electric field power of 1.88. On the basis of the experimental results, the newly synthesized chitosan malonate suspension was found to be an anhydrous ER fluid.

  • Natural periods are usually determined by the so-called linearized finite displacement theory even for a suspension bridge. This linearized method, with formulating structural stiffness by taking dead-load tension into consideration, calculates the natural periods of the bridge. As a result, the assumed initial tensions for each cable member may affect the accuracy of calculated natural periods and some other dynamic responses. This paper mainly demonstrates the effect of initially introduced tension accuracy on the evaluation of dynamic characteristics for a suspension bridge.

  • In this study, the performance of a semi-active suspension system for heavy duty tracked vehicles has been investigated. To this end, continuous and on-off Sky-Hook control law have been evaluated for a 1/4 car model. Simulation results show that the semi-active suspension system has potential to improve ride quality of the vehicle. And we proposed a method for improving of variable damper performance.

  • In this paper, a numerical algorithm for the kinematic analysis of a multi-link five-point suspension system is presented. The kinematic analysis is carried out in terms of the rectangular Cartesian coordinates of some defined points in the links and at the joints. Geometric constraints are introduced to fix the relative positions between the points belonging to the same rigid body. Position, velocity and acceleration analyses are carried out. The presented formulation in terms or this system of coordinates is simple and involves only elementary mathematics. The results of the kinematic analysis are presented and discussed.

다경간 현수교 주탑 설계를 위한 등가 현수교 모델 (Equivalent Suspension Bridge Model for Tower Design of Multi-span Suspension Bridges)

  • 다경간 현수교란 3개 이상의 주탑을 가지는 현수교로 중앙부에 주 경간을 2개 이상 가지는 현수교이다. 다경간 현수교 설계시 중앙주탑과 측주탑의 적절한 강성비를 가지도록 설계하는 것이 경제성이나 구조적인 효율성 측면에서 중요하다. 본 연구는 다경간 현수교의 중앙주탑과 측주탑의 적절한 강성비를 찾기 위해 다경간 현수교의 거동을 용이하게 파악할 수 있는 간편한 방법을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 그 방법으로 다경간 현수교의 주케이블을 등가의 케이블 스프링으로 이상화하고, 주케이블에 작용하는 장력을 주탑상단에 수평력과 수직력의 외력으로 치환시키는 방법으로 다경간 현수교를 등가 다경간 현수교 모델로 치환하였다. 등가 다경간 현수교 모델에 대한 평형방정식을 유도하고 비선형해석을 통해 방정식의 해를 구하였다. 중앙지간장 3,000m의 4경간 현수교의 FEM 해석을 통해 각 주탑에서 발생하는 변위와 모멘트 반력을 계산하고, 이 결과를 등가 4경간 현수교 모델의 해석결과와 비교하여 본 연구의 연구결과를 검증하였다. 검증 결과, 본 연구의 제안방법은 FEM 해석결과와 비슷한 경향을 나타내었다.
