  • Poly(butylene terephthalate)(P5T) has long history as an engineering thermoplastic. PBT was first introduced commercially to the market place as an injection molding resin about 1969 by Celanese Plastics in the U.S.A. It is still widely used as a molding resin. Processing or forming methods for solid-phase deformation, such as stretching, hydrostatic extrusion. roller stretching, rolling, and so on can improve the mechanical properties effectively.   • 본 논문에서는 요부 영상에서 근육을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 초음파 영상에서 왜곡이 존재하지 않는 영역을 측정 할 근육 영역을 설정한 후, 초기 초음파 영상에서 불필요한 잡음을 제거하고 Ends-in Search Stretching 기법을 적용하여 근육 영역의 명암 대비를 강조한다. 그리고 형태학적 특징을 이용하여 등뼈 영역과 피하지방을 분리한 후, 4 방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 적용하여 피하지방의 하단 부분을 추출한다. 또한 최대 및 최소 명암도를 조정하여 얻어진 등뼈의 후보 영역에서 형태학적 특징을 이용하여 잡음을 제거하고 최종적으로 등뼈 영역을 추출한다. 추출된 등뼈 영역에 대해 피하지방층과 등뼈 사이를 근육의 두께로 측정한다. 본 연구에서 제안된 방법을 요부의 초음파 영상에 적용하여 근육 영역을 추출한 결과, 제안된 방법이 초음파 영상에서 근육 영역들의 두께를 측정하는데 기존의 근육 측정 방법보다 효과적인 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.

Experimental Formability Investigation for FSW Sheets with Respect to Base Material's Directional Combination (모재의 방향성에 따른 마찰교반용접 판재의 성형성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In order to investigate the formability of friction stir welded(FSW) tailor welded blanks(TWB) with respect to the base material's directional combination, aluminum alloy AA6111-T4 sheets were welded with three different conjoining types: RD-RD, TD-RD and TD-TD. Here, RD and TD represent rolling and transverse directions, respectively. For experimental formability study, three tests with gradual complexity were performed: the simple tension test with various weld line directions for uni-axial elongation, the hemisphere dome stretching test for biaxial stretching and the cylindrical cup deep drawing test. As a result, all three forming tests showed that RD-RD type samples exhibited the best formability, while TD-TD type sheets showed the least formability performance.

  • Intermolecular hydrogen-bonding between phenol and N,N'-dimethylanilines (DMA) has been studied by infrared spectrophotometry. Results show that DMA acts as n-and ${\pi}$-donor although n-complex predominates. O-H stretching frequency shifts (${\Delta}{\nu}$) were proportional to basicitys of DMA and excellent linearity was observed between ${\Delta}{\nu}$ and the Hammett substituent constant, ${\sigma}$.

  • 본 논문에서는 Ends-In Search Stretching 기법을 적용하여 명암 대비를 강조하고, 명암 대비가 강조된 영상에서 삼각형 타입의 소속 함수를 이용한 퍼지 이진화 기법을 적용한 후, 그 다음 임의의 패턴 입력에 대해서도 효과적으로 특징을 분류하는 개선된 ART2 알고리즘을 이용하여 결함 영역을 검출한다. 제안된 방법을 세라믹 소재 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 기존의 방법보다 효율적으로 결함이 검출되는 것을 확인하였다.

An Improvement Method of Color Image Using Saturation Extension

  • In this paper, we propose a color image improvement method. The proposed algorithms are classified with the adaptive contrast stretching method for contrast enhancement and the adaptive saturation enhancement method for saturation enhancement. The adaptive contrast stretching method is to compensate a significant change of brightness while luminance is processed. The adaptive saturation enhancement method inhibits its saturation from de-saturation and oversaturation while chrominance is processed. The proposed algorithms are focused on a preference color processing in order to generate better image quality than the algorithms focused on a uniform color processing for human vision.

Density Functional Theory Study of Acetonitrile -Water Clusters: Structures and Infrared Frequency Shifts

  • We present calculations for the acetonitrile - water clusters to examine the nature of interactions in the mixed clusters. We calculate conformers of various composition, either of σ -type (-OH and -CN binding linearly) or π -type (-OH and -CN interacting perpendicularly) structures for the acetonitrile - water clusters. We predict that the IR frequency of the proton-accepting C≡N stretching mode red-shifts in the σ -type clusters and blueshifts in π -type conformers, whereas the proton-donating ?OH stretching frequency red-shifts in all cases. We find that this intriguing pattern also applies to the acetonitrile - water clusters of various molar ratio.

  • Multi-filament hydrostatic extrusion was developed as a fine wire manufacturing process and wire forming experiments were conducted. Also, single wire stretch forming process was proposed in the possibility of obtaining long wire with constant cross-section. In the multi filament extrusion since the workpiece, die and forming facility are in the macro forming circumstance, fine wire and fine hole structure with less than a few micrometer can be easily obtained. Although stretch forming does not use a die in order to avoid the friction problem between the workpiece and the die, it is necessary to have high level of technology to maintain cross-sectional shape and measure in longitudinal direction.

  • 본 논문에서는 환자와 검사자에게 초음파 영상의 객관화된 정보를 정확하게 제공하기 위해 간과 신장의 초음파 영상에 SOM 기법을 적용하여 지방간 농도 수치를 분류하는 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 방법은 간, 신장 영역을 촬영한 초음파 영상에서 촬영정보나 눈금자 등과 같이 필요 없는 부분을 잡음으로 간주하여 제거한 Region Of Interest(ROI) 영상을 추출하고, 추출된 ROI 영상에서 명암대비를 강조하기 위해 Fuzzy Stretching 기법을 적용한다. Stretching된 영상에 Enhanced Average Binary와 Labeling 기법으로 적용하여 얻은 Contour 정보를 분석하여 잡음을 제거한 후, 지방간의 측정 영역을 추출한다. 추출된 간과 신장의 측정 영역에 SOM 기법을 적용하여 명암도 값을 분류한 후, 간과 신장의 실질 영역의 대표 명암도를 각각 추출하여 비교 분석한다. 제안된 방법을 초음파 영상에 적용한 결과, 효율적이고 객관적으로 간의 지방도를 분류할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다.

Raman Spectra of Nitrophenol Molecules Included in Cyclodextrin Polymers Cross-linked with Epichlohydrine

  • Inclusion complexes of the p-nitrophenol with ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin (CD), sulfated ${\beta}$-CD, and ${\beta}$-CD polymer cross-linked with epichlorohydrine (EP) were prepared and characterized by Raman spectroscopy. The intensity of vibration peaks of the C-O and C-N at 1284 and $856cm^{-1}$ of the p-nitrophenol in the presence of EP-linked CD polymer was remarkably increased, respectively. The vibration modes at 1284 and $856cm^{-1}$ are assigned to the out-of phase C-C-O stretching mode and the C-N stretching mode, respectively. The vibration peaks at 1284 and $856cm^{-1}$ increased with increasing the content of EP-linked CD polymers, while decreased with increasing the p-nitrophenol content. Furthermore, the vibration mode of the $NO_2$ symmetric stretch at $1344cm^{-1}$ enhanced with increasing the content of p-nitrophenol.
