This paper describes the development of a software tool LCD FRAME that may guide the analyzing process for the electrical characteristics and the design procedure for constructing the thin film transistor liquid crystal display(TFT/LCD) packages. LCD FRAME can analyze its electrical characteristics from the TFT/LCD system package configuration, and provide the design variables to meet the user's requirements. These analysis and design procedure can be done in real time according to the model at simplified package level of TFT/LCD. LCD_FRAME is an object-oriented expert system which considers package elements as objects. With this LCD_FRAME software tool, we analyzed the I-V characteristics of a-Si TFT and its signal distortion which has maximum 1.58 $\mu$s delay along the panel scan line of the package containing 480 ${\times}$ 240 pixels. We designed the package structure of maximum 6.35 $\mu$s signal delays and 3360 ${\times}$ 780 pixels, and as a result we showed that the proper structure of 20 $\mu$m scan line width, 60$\mu$m panel TFT gate width and 8 $\mu$m gate length. This LCD_FRAME software tool provides results of the analysis and the design in the form of input files of the SPICE program, text data files, and graphic charts.

In the following paper, new architectural algorithm of clock and data recovery circuit is proposed for 622.08 Mbps optical communication receiver. New algorithm makes use of charge pump PLL using voltage controlled ring oscillator and extracts 8-channel 77.76 MHz clock signals, which are delayed by i/8 (i=1,2, ...8), to convert and recover 8-channel parallel data from 662.08 Mbps MRZ serial data. This circuit includes clock genration block to produce clock signals continuously even if input data doesn't exist. And synchronization of data and clock is doen by the method which compares 1/2 bit delayed onput data and decided dta by extracted clock signals. Thus, we can stabilize frequency and phase of clock signal even if input data is distorted or doesn't exist and simplify receiver architecture compared to traditional receiver's. Also it is possible ot realize clock extraction, data decision and conversion simulataneously. Verification of this algorithm is executed by DESIGN CENTER (version 6.1) using test models which are modelized by analog behavior modeling and digital circuit model, modified to process input frequency sufficiently, in SPICE.

With the advent of sub-90nm technologies, the system-on-chip (SoC) and system-in-package (SiP) are becoming the trend in delivering low-cost, low-power, and small-form-factor consumer electronic systems running at multiple GHz. The shortened transistor channel length reduces the transistor switching cycles to the range of several picoseconds, yet the time-of-flights of the critical on-chip and off-chip interconnects are in the range of 10 picoseconds for 1.5mm-long wires and 100 picoseconds for 15mm-long wires. Designers realize the bottleneck today often lies at chip-to-chip interconnects and the industry needs a good model to compute the inductance in these parts of circuits. In this paper we propose a new method for extracting accurate equivalent inductance circuit models for SPICE-level circuit simulations of system-on-chip (SoC) and system-in-package (SiP) designs. In our method, geometrical meshes are created and numerical methods are used to find the solutions for the electromagnetic fields over the fine meshes. In this way, multiple-GHz SoC and SiP designers can use accurate inductance modeling and interconnect optimization to achieve high yields.
Various species of the genus Capsicum contain in their fruits an intensively sharp and pungent substance, Capsaicin, which was first isolated in an almost pure state by Thresh. Containing the pungent principle, Capsicums are used extensively in food as a spice and in medicine as a rubefacient and carminative. Numerous methods have been proposed for the isolation, the chemical structure and the quantitative determination of Capsaicin. Modifying the several methods described before, the Capsaicin contents in various species of the genus Capsicum were determined as follows. (1) The isolation of pure Capsaicin was the essential first step for the determination of Capsaicin contents. Powdered cayenne pepper was extracted with acetone. By the method of ether alkali partition extraction slightly modified at this laboratory and by the recrystallization with light petroleum ether that was repeated ten times, the pure crystalline Capsaicin was obtained. Using this Capsaicin, the standard absorption curve was drawn with Beckman spectrophotometer model DU for the quantitative determination of Capsaicin. 92) The powdered sample was extracted in a Soxhlet extractor with ether-acetone solvent system(3:1) for 25 hours. Capsaicin in this ether-acetone extracts was efficiently separated in a pure state by paper partition chromatography using 58% methanol solution as developing agent. It was found that 58% methanol was one of the most valuable solvent to separate Capsaicin from impurities such as sterols, fatty acids, waxes and carotenoid pigments. (3) The colorimetric method modifying the Schulte-Kruger's method which consists of measuring the red color produced with diazobenzenesulphonic acid was used. Capsaicin in various species of the genus Capsicum was determined quantitatively with use of Beckman spectrophotometer model DU at $480\;m{\mu}$.
Effects of cold plasma treatment (CPT) against Salmonella Typhimurium inoculated on cabbage and lettuce, naturally occurring bacteria in black pepper powder and red pepper powder, and Bacillus cereus inoculated onto red pepper powder were investigated. The numbers of S. Typhimurium on cabbage and lettuce were reduced by $1.5{\pm}0.2CFU/cm^2$ (900W, 5 min) and $1.1{\pm}0.1$ log $CFU/cm^2$ (900W, 10 min), respectively. The numbers of naturally occurring aerobic bacteria in both black pepper powder and red pepper powder were reduced by $2.3{\pm}0.3$ and $0.6{\pm}0.2$ log CFU/g, respectively. The numbers of B. cereus vegetative cells on red pepper powder were reduced by $1.5{\pm}0.1$ log CFU/g, but the numbers of spores remained unchanged. The inhibition of S. Typhimurium on cabbage was adequately described by Fermi's model and the Weibull model. The predicted optimum treatment power and time for S. Typhimurium inoculated onto cabbage were 746 W and 6.8 min, respectively. Our results indicate that CPT represents a useful method for microbial decontamination of vegetables and spices.

To develop a new form of spice material by concentration of garlic juice, its rheological properties were investigated. In the temperature range of $15\;to\;65^{\circ}C$, the garlic juice with the solid content of $32\;to\;60^{\circ}Brix$ was considered as a pseudoplastic fluid. Flow and consistency indices of the juice interpreted by power-law equation varied from $0.9937\;to\;0.6130\;and\;0.0041\;to\;3.1886Pa{\;s^n$, respectively. Apparent viscosity was lineally decreased as shear rate was increased. Activation energy for the flow of the garlic juice changed in the range of 11,216 to 23,195 kJ/kg mol.

This paper presents a Electrical characteristics of the Memristor device using the PSPICE for circuit analysis. After making macro model of the Memristor device for circuit analysis, electric characteristics of the model such as time analysis, frequency and DC analysis according to the input voltage were performed by PSPICE simulation. Also, we made simple circuits of memristor series and parallel structure and analyzed the simulated SPICE results. Finally, we made a memristor-capacitor (M-C) circuit. charge and discharge characteristics were analyzed. In case of input pulse signal of 250 Hz, the Memristor-capacitor circuit showed delay time of 0.6ms, rising time of 0.58 ms and falling time of 1.6 ms.

This study was performed to develop the source profiles for fine particles ($PM_{2.5}$) emitted from the meat cooking. The characterization of fine particles emitted from beef cooking showed comparably high level of carbon (75%) which mainly composed of OC (73%) and EC (2.3%). Also the level of $K^+$, $Cl^-$, K, Cl, and $Na^+$ has been diagnosed to be relatively high, mainly caused by the Korean spice with sodium component. The cooking of pork showed similar trend to the beef, resulting high level of OC, EC, $K^+$, $Cl^-$, K, Cl, and $Na^+$ as the major components of fine particles. The high proportions of metal's ingredient such as Zn and Pb have been spotted to be 0.463% and 0.386%, respectively. The higher ratio of OC has been collected for raw pork belly meat compared to seasoned meat in respond to presence of fat. The cooking of chicken and duck brought similar data that OC, $K^+$, K, $Cl^-$, Cl, EC, $NO_3{^-}$, and $SO{_4}^{2-}$ were main components of fine particles. The one notable feature is that Zn and Pb showed to be almost absent.

Signal transmission and crosstalk of coupled bondwires buried in plastic packages are analyzed using the Method of Moments and the Fourier Transform algorithm. It is also shown that the quasi-static crosstalk model of SPICE is inappropriate for designing the high-speed plastic packages. Plastic packaging material, increasing the self and mutual capacitances, is found to be helpful for the signal transmission integrity due to the dielectric compensation effect. However, it is also observed that the plastic material increases the crosstalk due to the radiation-enhanced mutual coupling effect. By investigating the geometrical and material dependence of the pulse transmission and crosstalk, it is found that the radiation-enhanced coupling effect is significant for most of typical bondwire geometries and plastic package materials. These calculation results can be effectively used for designing plastic packages of high-speed digital IC's and monolithic RFIC's.
As the use of Information Technology is increasing, various kinds of IT service vendor proliferate. And most executives are trying to expand their field to online world. As the emphasis on Information Technology is inevitable, executives want to evaluate the service level they receive from IT service vendor. But. there's not yet the proper evaluation system for IT service. The evaluation systems like CMM, SPICE are process-focused. They don't give a look on the final product delivered to customer. On the other hand, the one that evaluate the customer satisfaction like ACSI, NCSI are too over-focused that they can't express the specific characteristics on the subjects that are deemed to evaluate. The focus is blurred. To overcome these limitations of existing framework, and to increase the value of evaluation, this study presents the evaluation system of IT service (afterwards, named as 'The new evaluation system') that derives process factors from IT service CMM, and evaluate customer satisfaction of IT service. Finally, the model was applied to the actual case to examine the practicality of the framework.
