소셜 네트워크 사이트의 구전 마케팅의 효과성 영향 요인 (Factors Affecting Viral Marketing Effectiveness in Social Network Sites)

  • Social Network Services (SNSs) have grown to be new and promising tools of marketing. By referring to researches done on e-mail viral marketing, this paper operationizes SNS viral marketing effectiveness to accurately reflect marketing success in SNS environment, and tries to identify its affecting factors. As potential affecting factors, fan size, advertisement type, existence of engagement elicitation and incentive are identified. By sampling real advertisement postings on Facebook, we showed that fan size, advertisement type, and engagement elicitation are factors affecting SNS viral marketing success. This research expanded the conventional model of viral marketing into SNS settings to improve understanding on SNS viral marketing. Motivation is discussed as an important factor, and this research showed that viral campaign can be more successful when it triggers internal motivation to engage, but not the external motivation. This research could also be a guide for practitioners on how to post a successful advertisement in SNSs.

  • Purpose One of the main characteristics of Social Network Service(SNS) is that users in an open space makes posts through voluntary participation and sharing among them. This makes SNS a very attractive channel to companies that need to send their messages to consumers. As a matter of fact, there are many companies doing marketing activities through a platform of Fan Page as a space for corporations and consumers to act together. This study defines the values and types of companies' advertising posts on Facebook, empirically analyzes the results of them, and investigates factors that could enhance the customer engagement. Design/methodology/approach A research model was built to demonstrate which values and types of posts were combined by corporations' posts on Facebook and create their messages and which of those combinations would lead to high results of customer engagement. Findings The results show differences in the values of posts between the group of high customer engagement and the other group on Facebook. This study makes its contribution by conducting elaborate analysis of posts on Facebook and thus proposing marketing strategies that companies, which had difficulties with systematic marketing activities due to cost limitations, could use on Facebook.

  • 본 연구는 대학에서 이루어지고 있는 강의에 있어 전통적인 오프라인 강의실 강의에 정보기술 발달과 함께 급속도로 확산되고 있는 SNS(Social Network Service)를 접목할 경우 학습성과의 변화에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보기 위해 시작되었다. 이를 위하여 101명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소셜 네트워킹 참여(online social networking engagement)와 사회적 수용(acculturation)은 교수와의 상호작용 품질(interaction quality with professors)에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교수와의 상호작용품질은 협력학습(collaborative learning)과 학습성과(learning performance)에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Social media are used as a tool which is suitable for delivering various images emotionally in the area of fashion. How deeply consumers are led by the brands to be engaged in the brands' SNS, how often they visit SNS and gain information, how much empathy they elicit from visitors with their contents and how continuously brands provide up-to-date information are the important factors to raise consumers' fashion consciousness and draw out their fashion consumption to express themselves. Therefore, this study aims to explore the effect of social media engagement and contents characteristics on fashion consumption tendency and purchase intention. In order to verify the research question, study makes analysis centering on the 2 × 2 × 2 MANCOVA model to draw out results of the differences among groups. As a result of analysis, this study verifies the difference between the effect of social media engagement on purchase intention and the effect of interaction of three variables on fashion consumption propensity and purchase intention and summarizes the implications.

업무시간 외 SNS를 통해 업무전달이 직무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Work Delivery using SNS out of Duty Hours on Job Performance)

  • 중국 직장에서는 소위 '신형 야간근무'라 불리는 WeChat이나 QQ와 같은 SNS를 사용한 업무전달이 보편화되는 있다. 본 연구는 업무시간 외 SNS를 통한 업무전달이 직무성과에 미치는 영향을 실증분석하는 것이다. 중국 직장인 310명을 대상으로 설문조사 하여 가설들을 검증하기 위해 구조방정식모형분석을 활용하였다. 분석결과, 근무시간 외에 SNS를 통해 빈번하게 업무전달 연락을 받게 되면 직무스트레스가 커지고, 일-가정 간 갈등을 심화시켜 업무에 대한 열정을 감소시켜 그 결과 직무성과 마저 저하되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 업무시간 외 SNS 활용이 직무성과에 긍정적인 효과를 가져온다는 기존연구결과와는 다른 견해를 제공해 관련 이론정립에 시사점을 제공한다. 또한 향후 연구에서는 이러한 상반된 견해를 융합하는데 조절효과의 영향에 대한 분석이 필요할 것이다.

학습자 동기 유형에 따른 비대면 온라인 교육의 효과 연구 (A study on the effect of non-face-to-face online education according to the type of learner motivation)

  • 본 연구는 온라인 교육의 효과를 학습자들이 수업 관련 특정 이슈들에 대한 적극적 탐색과 공유의 측면으로 확대하여 살펴보고자 선행연구를 바탕으로, 이슈를 탐색하도록 유도하는 동기의 두 유형(개인적, 사회적)과 인게이지먼트, 이슈콘텐츠에 대한 태도, SNS구전의도 모형을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 학습자들의 두 동기는 인게이지먼트에 정(+)의 영향력을 미치고 있었으며, 인게이지먼트가 증가할수록 이슈콘텐츠 태도와 SNS 구전의도는 긍정적으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 스스로 학습을 진행하도록 유도하는 인게이지먼트의 역할을 확인할 수 있으며, 인게이지먼트의 증가를 위해 수업내용뿐만 아니라 사회적, 개인적 동기를 활용해야할 필요성을 제안한다.

SNS의 사용이 팀의 협력과 의사결정의 질 및 업무성과에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Social Networking Service on the Team Cooperation, Quality of Decision Making and Job Performance)

  • 스마트폰의 등장으로 인해 언제 어디서나 정보를 누구라도 손쉽게 전달하고 볼 수 있는 시대가 되었다. 과거에는 개인적 홍보나 생각의 나눔을 위한 도구로서 SNS를 사용해 왔지만, 최근 SNS 사용자의 증가와 그 사용속도의 증가 추세에 따라 기업들이 팀의 협력이나 의사결정에 직접 스마트폰을 이용하여 의사결정의 질이나 업무성과를 제고하는 노력이 진행되고 있다. 이처럼 소셜 네트워크 사이트(SNS Social Networking Service)의 활성화는 이미 사람들이 인터넷 매체를 통해 즐거움과 같은 긍정적 경험을 많이 누리고 있음을 제시한다. 그러나 한국의 조직 구성원들을 대상으로 SNS가 구성원들의 업무성과에 미치는 긍정적인 기능에 대한 논의는 부족하였다. 이에 본 연구는 조직구성원들이 실제 SNS을 통한 참여를 통해 기업에서 SNS의 활용과 참여가 업무성과를 향상 시킬 수 있는지를 분석하고자 하였으며, 실제 이들의 영향관계에서 팀의 협력 및 의사결정의 질이 중요한 매개 역할을 하는지를 규명하고자 하였다. 연구의 결과는 SNS의 참여가 높을수록 업무성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었고 이들의 인과관계에서 팀의 협력과 의사결정의 질이 중요한 매개작용을 하고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과들은 실제 구성원들의 업무성과 향상을 위해서는 직장인들의 사회적 네트워크의 활용도를 높여서 업무의 활용도를 높여야 한다는 시사점을 밝혀낼 수 있었다. 또한 SNS의 참여는 팀의 협력과 의사결정의 질도 높일 수 있는 요인임을 알 수 있었다.

Understanding Motivations and Engagement Outcomes of Social Media Television Coviewing

  • In today's media environment, TV programmers and advertisers must strive ever harder to attract the attention of audiences. Yet what may be even more crucial is engaging audiences in conversations on social media and nourishing stronger relationships. To provide insights into how to improve audience experiences through social media television coviewing (STVC) behaviors, this study investigates audience motivations for using social networking sites (SNSs) while watching sports program (i.e., social media television coviewing-STVC) and examines relationships between identified motivations and key audience engagement outcomes. The results reveal four motivations for STVC behaviors: sports-related interaction seeking, information seeking, convenience seeking, and socializing. Further, results reveal that sports-related interaction seeking, information seeking, and socializing motivations are significant predictors of satisfaction, investment, and commitment to the program. Audience engagement outcomes are not predicted, however, by convenience seeking or by variables pertaining to SNS-use regarding STVC behaviors.

The Influence of Shoppable Content Readability on Consumer Engagement in Brand Pages

  • Social media platforms have become prominent channels for e-commerce, and the role of social network sites' (SNS) content marketing is expanding as a strategic marketing communication approach to attract and retain consumers and increase sales. In this study, we focused on South Korea market and explored the influence of linguistic complexity and informality on consumer engagement. In particular, we identified the importance of complexity, focusing on its negative effects, as well as the moderating effect of commerce features to minimize these effects. Specifically, content length, hashtags, long words, and average sentence length significantly and negatively impacted consumer engagement. The influence of emojis, an informality variable, was not statistically significant. Shoppable tags, a commerce feature that provides both advertising explicitness and shopping convenience, were a moderating factor in the influence of complexity. Our findings provide new insights for content marketing researchers, and have practical implications for social media managers and content developers.

Design and Evaluation of a Social Networking Site (SNS) Supported Collaborative Learning Environment for Vocabulary Learning

  • Vocabulary learning plays an important role in language learning. This study explored a new paradigm based on social networking site (SNS) supported collaborative learning for vocabulary learning. SNS supported collaborative learning (SSCL) can effectively promote learners' engagement, interest and motivation by providing a more communicative and interactive environment. However, vocabulary learning studies on SSCL mainly focused on the effectiveness and influencing factors, lacking specific instructional strategies. Therefore, this study aims to develop instructional strategies that guide instructors to create an SSCL environment for facilitating vocabulary learning. The final instructional strategies are composed of three stages according to the course process, consisting of 8 general strategies and 21 specific guidelines. The content validity was ensured by four experts in the field of educational technology. The instructional strategies were then applied in an actual classroom with 16 students. The positive responses from the instructor and learners indicated that SSCL can be reasonably incorporated into the current curriculum to provide effective learning opportunities and to promote learners' vocabulary learning.
