다방향 불규칙파에 대한 조파 기법 및 방향 스펙트럼 추정 연구 (Study on Wave Generation Technique and Estimation of Directional Wave Spectra for Multi-Directional Irregular Waves)

  • In this study, fundamental research is conducted for the generation technique and analysis of multi-directional irregular waves in the Deep Ocean Engineering Basin (DOEB). A three-dimensional boundary element method-based numerical tank is implemented to perform wave generation simulations, and directional spectrum estimation is carried out using the results of simulations. The wave generation technique of the Snake type wave maker, generating multi-directional irregular waves, is implemented using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) algorithms. The wave generation technique is validated by comparing the wave spectrum from simulations and experiments. A Maximum Likelihood Method (MLM) based estimation code is developed for estimating the directional wave spectra. The multi-directional irregular waves are tested in the DOEB and the numerical tank, and directional wave spectra obtained from two methodologies are estimated and compared. A correction procedure for the directional distribution of multi-directional waves is established, and the possibility of correcting the directional spreading function using the numerical tank is validated.

Presenting an advanced component-based method to investigate flexural behavior and optimize the end-plate connection cost

  • A very widely used analytical method (mathematical model), mentioned in Eurocode 3, to examine the connections' bending behavior is the component-based method that has certain weak points shown in the plastic behavior part of the moment-rotation curves. In the component method available in Eurocode 3, for simplicity, the effect of strain hardening is omitted, and the bending behavior of the connection is modeled with the help of a two-line diagram. To make the component method more efficient and reliable, this research proposed its advanced version, wherein the plastic part of the diagram was developed beyond the guidelines of the mentioned Regulation, implemented to connect the end plate, and verified with the moment-rotation curves found from the laboratory model and the finite element method in ABAQUS. The findings indicated that the advanced component method (the method developed in this research) could predict the plastic part of the moment-rotation curve as well as the conventional component-based method in Eurocode 3. The comparison between the laboratory model and the outputs of the conventional and advanced component methods, as well as the outputs of the finite elements approach using ABAQUS, revealed a different percentage in the ultimate moment for bolt-extended end-plate connections. Specifically, the difference percentages were -31.56%, 2.46%, and 9.84%, respectively. Another aim of this research was to determine the optimal dimensions of the end plate joint to reduce costs without letting the mechanical constraints related to the bending moment and the resulting initial stiffness, are not compromised as well as the safety and integrity of the connection. In this research, the thickness and dimensions of the end plate and the location and diameter of the bolts were the design variables, which were optimized using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Snake Optimization (SO), and Teaching Learning-Based Optimization (TLBO) to minimization the connection cost of the end plate connection. According to the results, the TLBO method yielded better solutions than others, reducing the connection costs from 43.97 to 17.45€ (60.3%), which shows the method's proper efficiency.

사독의 조해물질에 관한 연구 (Inhibitory Substance on the Snake Venoms Produced by Penicillium sp.)

  • 사독은 단백성물질이며 그 작용은 효소적이다. 동물에 대한 강력한 작용은 독사교상의 치료에 있어서 중요한 문제점을 가지고 있다. 독사에 대한 항혈청의 개발은 오래 전부터 이루어 졌으며 근년에 와서는 거의 완성된 상태라고 생각한다. 그러나 이러한 형편에서도 항혈청에 지니고 있는 몇가지의 결점으로 인하여 유효한 화학치료제의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 그러나 사독의 다양성을 고려할 때 획일적인 치료제를 얻기란 매우 곤란할 것으로 생각된다. 사독을 화학물질로써 불활성화 시키려는 시도는 많아서 chelate 성 물질 thio 화합물, 혹종의 Amino acid, Tannic acid 등 단백질 응고제 등 시험관내에서는 강력히 작용하는 물질이 많이 발견되었으나 이들의 작용은 사독에 대해서 비특이적이며 또한 생체내에서의 작용이 강하여 그의 이용에 많은 제한이 있다. 저자들은 미생물로부터 사독에 대한 조해물질의 검색을 시도했던바 Penicillium 속의 한균주로 부터 유효한 물질을 얻을 수 있었으며 이것을 ISV-33이라 명명하였다. 이 물질은Agkistro-don 및 Trimeresurus 류 사독의 Proteinase와 출혈인자 및 치사인자에 잘 작용하여 이것들을 불활성화시키나 일반효소에는 거의 작용하지 않았다. 이 물질은 사독에 대해서 $\frac{1}{4}$~$\frac{1}{8}$ 량으로서 충분히 작용하나 그 자체의 독성은 위를 대상으로 실험했을 때 거의 나타나지 않는다. 또 이 물질은 사독에 대해서 특이성이 강하며 in vivo에서도 작용한다. 이 물질은 결정성이며 열수에는 용이하게 용해하나 명수나 명종 유기용매에는 거의 용해하지 않으며 단지 Ethylacetate에는 약간 용해한다. mp는 222$^{\circ}C$에서 승화하며 분자량 약 392인 Tetra carboxylic acid로 동정되었다 분자식은(C$_{8}$ $H_{6}$N $O_{5}$)$_2$라고 인정되며 이 물질은 Polycarboxylic acid 이므로 chelate 작용이 있을 가능성이 있으나 금속효소에 대해서는 일률적으로 작용하지 않음으로 사독의 불활성화에 있어서 chelate 작용에 인한 것은 아니라고 생각된다. 그 구조식은 아직 확정하지는 못하였으나 지금까지의 실험결과로서 cyclo hexane을 골격으로 하고 여기에 Epoxy group와 caborxyl 기가 있는 것으로 추정된다. 또 이 물질은 산, Alkali, 가열등에 대해서 매우 안정한 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 일부는 문교부 연구조성비(1978년도)에 의해서 수행되었다.

담수어의 지질에 관한 연구 2. 가물치(Channa argus)의 부위별 지질성분의 분포 (Studies on Lipids in Fresh-Water Fishe 2. Distribution of Lipid Components in Various Tissues of Snake Head, Channa argus)

  • 전보에 이어 가물치의 지질을 체부위별(육질부, 피부. 내장부)로 유리지질과 결합지질로 분획하고, 지질 및 구성지방산의 조성을 분석, 검토한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 평균적으로 유리지질은 총 지질의 $32.80\%$를 차지하여 결합지질 $3.86\%$에 비하면 약 8.5배 정도의 높은 함량이었다. 부위별로 유리지질의 함량을 보면 내장부가 $67.50\%$로서 가장 높았고 피부($20.04\%$), 육질부 ($10.85\%$)의 순이었다. 2, 유리지질중에는 중성지질이 $66.6{\sim}72.4\%$, 인지질이 $17.9{\sim}20.4\%$ 그리고 당지질이 $5.7{\sim}12.2\%$ 함유되어 있었으며, 결합지질중에는 인지질이 $28.6{\sim}50.6\%$, 중성지질이 $13.2{\sim}36.1\%$ 그리고 당지질이 $3.8{\sim}22.8\%$ 함유되어 있었다. 3. 유리지질중의 중성지질은 triglyceride(TG)가 $62.00{\sim}90.20\%$, 결합지질중의 중성지질은 esterified sterol(ES) 및 hydrocarbon(HC)이 $51.3{\sim}72.70\%$의 함량으로 가강 많았다. 한편 유리지질중의 인지질은 phosphatidyl ethanolamine(PE)이 $28.9{\sim}42.75\%$. phosphatidyl choline(PC)이 $27.85{\sim}41.06\%$로서 비슷한 함량을 보였으나, 결합지질중의 인지질은 phosphatidyl choline(PC)의 $47.18{\sim}52.54\%$, phosphatidyl ethanolamine(PE)은 $17.88{\sim}26.67\%$ 로서 많은 차이를 보였다. 4. 극성지질의 주요 구성지방산을 유리 및 결합지질로 비교하여 보면 $C_{16:0}산(21.03\%,\;22.62\%),\;C_{16:1}(8.70\%,\;30.1\%),\;C_{18:1}산(20.62\%,\;12.11\%),\;C_{22:5}(3.02\%,\;9.86\%)\;C_{22:6}산(7.56\%,\;16.02\%)$ 인 반면 비극성지질의 경우에는 $C_{16:0}산(18.98\%,\;19.12\%),\;C_{16:1}산(9.04\%,\;13.49\%),\;C_{18:1}산(22.94\%,\;11.61\%)\;C_{22:5}산(3.00\%,\;10.05\%)$였다. 5. 불포화도(TUFA/TSFA)는 결합지질이 유리지질보다 약2.5배 정도 높았으며, monoenoic acid에 대한 polyenoic acid의 비(TPEA/TMEA)르 결합지질이 유리지질보다 훨씬 높았다. 6. 필수지방산(EFA)의 함량은 유리지질이 결합지질에 비하여 높았으나 w3 고도불포화방방산(w3-HU-FA)의 함량에 있어서는 그 반대이었다. 부위별로는 지질의 함량 및 지방산의 조성이 많은 차이를 보였다.

대기오염 저감을 통한 인천항의 Green Port 전략 (Green Port Strategies for Reducing Air Pollution in Port of Incheon)

  • 21세기 에너지기후시대를 맞이하여 세계 각국은 미래 국가성장동력으로 녹색산업을 중점 육성하고 있으며, 우리나라 역시 현정부 들어 녹색성장을 국정과제로 추진하고 있다. 이 같은 녹색혁명의 바람은 해운항만산업도 예외가 아니어서 IMO를 비롯한 국제기구와 미국, EU를 중심으로 한 세계 주요국들은 항만에서 발생하는 대기오염을 줄이기 위한 다방면의 노력을 경주하고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리나라의 경우 선박이나 항만에서 발생하는 환경오염 및 이의 저감방안에 대한 논의는 비교적 최근 들어 이루어지고 있어 선진국 항만들과는 그 격차가 큰 실정이다. 또한 최근 급격한 성장을 보이고 있는 중국 항만을 비롯한 주변 항만들과의 치열한 경쟁에서 국내 항만들이 지속가능한 우위를 확보해 나가기 위해서도 차별화된 Green Port 전략의 필요성은 그 어느 때보다 절실한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구는 항만활동으로 인해 발생되는 대기오염원과 인천항의 환경오염 실태 및 현황을 살펴보고, 세계 주요항만에서 시행되고 있거나 향후 도입될 예정으로 있는 청정대기 전략을 검토함으로써 인천항에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 특히 본 연구는 수도권 관문항으로서 연간 막대한 양의 벌크화물을 취급하고 있는 인천항의 대기오염 저감방안을 컨테이너터미널과 벌크터미널로 구분하여 제시함으로써 기존연구와 차별성을 도모하였다. 항만에서 발생하는 대기오염을 줄이기 위한 방안으로는 컨테이너 터미널의 경우 기술적 측면에서 청정연료사용, 배출통제장치 설치, 노후장비 교체 및 개조, 운영적 측면에서는 선박속도저감 프로그램 도입, 육상전원공급장치의 도입, RFID를 활용한 게이트 자동화, 그리고 시장기반프로그램으로 차별화된 항만이용료 프로그램의 도입을 검토해 볼 필요가 있다. 한편 벌크부두(일반부두)의 경우 선적과 하역 시 다단식 선적슈트, 고각도 컨베이어벨트, 건무시스템 등을 사용하여 비산분진과 화물유출 발생을 방지하는 한편, 화물보관 시 기존 사이로 방식 대신 돔구조물이나 폴리에스터 보관시설을 사용하는 방안을 검토할 필요가 있다.

Genetic Identification of Spirometra decipiens Plerocercoids in Terrestrial Snakes from Korea and China

  • Human sparganosis is a zoonotic disease caused by infection with larval forms (procercoid/plerocercoid) of Spirometra spp. The purpose of this study was to identify Spirometra spp. of infected snakes using a multiplex PCR assay and phylogenetic analysis of mitochondrial DNA sequence data from the spargana of terrestrial snakes obtained from Korea and China. A total of 283 snakes were obtained that included 4 species of Colubridae comprising Rhabdophis tigrinus tigrinus (n=150), Dinodon rufozonatum rufozonatum (n=64), Elaphe davidi (n=2), and Elaphe schrenkii (n=7), and 1 species of Viperidae, Agkistrodon saxatilis (n=60). The snakes were collected from the provinces of Chungbuk, Chungnam, and Gyeongbuk in Korea (n=161), and from China (n=122). The overall infection rate with spargana was 83% (235/283). The highest was recorded for D. rufozonatum rufozonatum (100%), followed by A. saxatilis (85%) and R. tigrinus tigrinus (80%), with a negative result for E. davidi (0%) and E. schrenkii (0%). The sequence identities between the spargana from snakes (n=50) and Spirometra erinaceieuropaei (KJ599680) or S. decipiens (KJ599679) control specimens were 90.8% and 99.2%, respectively. Pairwise genetic distances between spargana (n=50) and S. decipiens ranged from 0.0080 to 0.0107, while those between spargana and S. erinaceieuropaei ranged from 0.1070 to 0.1096. In this study, all of the 904 spargana analyzed were identified as S. decipiens either by a multiplex PCR assay (n=854) or mitochondrial cox1 sequence analysis (n=50).

랫드에서 Alginase의 급성 및 4주간 정맥 내 반복투여 독성시험에 관한 연구 (A Study for Acute and Four-week Intravenous Toxicity of Alginase in Rats)

  • Alginase$Alginase^{ⓡ}$ (Arginine esterase) is one of the snake venoms which is mainly consisted of arginine esterase and acts as a thrombus -forming inhibitor/thrombus-lysin. These present studies were performed to investigate of the acute and subacute toxicity of the Alginase$Alginase^{ⓡ}$ in rats. In acute toxicity study, rats were single administered intravenously with dosages of 0.001, 0.01. 0.1, 1 and 10U/kg B.W. and examined the number of death, clinical sign, body weight and pathological change for 7days after administration of Alginase$Alginase^{ⓡ}$. At maximum dose level (10U/kg B.W.), Alginase$Alginase^{ⓡ}$ induced symptoms of shock with cyanosis and dyspnea. But these symptoms dissappeared after 30~50 minutes and we could not find any other toxic effect in rats. Therefore, $LD_{50}$ Value of Alginase was over 10U/kg B.W. in rats. In four-week intravenous toxicity study of Alginase$Alginase^{ⓡ}$, rats were administered intravenously seven days per week for 28 days, with dosages of 0, 0.0125, 0.125 and 1.25U/kg B.W./day, respectively. Alginase$Alginase^{ⓡ}$ did not caused any death and showed any clinical signs in rats. No significant Alginase$Alginase^{ⓡ}$ -related changes were found in feed uptake, water consumption, hematology, serum biochemistry, urinalysis, ocular examination, organ weight and histopathological examination. From the results, Alginase$Alginase^{ⓡ}$ seems not to have any toxic effect in rats when it were given daily intravenous injections below the dosage 1.25U/kg B.W./day for four weeks.

제주지역(濟州地域)의 식품금기(食品禁忌)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (I)-임신기(妊娠期)를 중심(中心)으로- (A Study of Food Taboos on Jeju Island (I)-Focused on Pregnancy-)

  • Nutrition counselors in Korea often encounter difficulty in their attempt to change village women's attitudes regarding food taboos which are counter to good eating habits. There are a great many food superstitions which are not due to religious influence, but seem to be related to shape and composition of food. Many expectant mothers superstitiously avoid eating certain foods for fear that they may cause mental or physical abnormality in their babies. As was shown in a previous survey (Mo, 1966)of villages in all provinces except Jeju Island, such superstitions were common among pregnant and lactating mothers. Many food taboos and superstitions based on non-scientific and irrational ideas do exist even in modern society, and are a major obstacle to nutritionally adequate food consumption. A study of food taboos among women of Jeju Island was undertaken from November to December of 1976, these results to be compared as well with those of the previous study. There were 73 items found to be prohibited during pregnancy. Of these, 48.7% were of the deaf group, 17.4% fish, 5.5% eggs, 4.7% cereal, and only 2.2% fruit. Of 252% women respondents, 111 (45% ) abstained from eating chicken, duck, and shark because of the belief that they would cause their babies to be born with gooseflesh or shark skin. Many of them avoided rabbit meat for fear that their babies might be born with harelip. It was also feared that a baby would become disfigured if his mother ate duck, goat, dog meat, chicken or duck eggs, or soup made of bones. A common superstition was that highly spiced or salty foods would cause the fetus to be hairless. Squid and octopus were believed to cause babies to have weak bones, or none at all. Most of these food taboos were associated with fears concerning Physical structure and appearance of unborn babies. Other taboos were associated with fear of undesirable behavioral characteristics. For example, some mothers thought that a baby would pinch or bite the mother's breast during the weaning period, if crab meat were eaten during pregnancy. Unevenly sliced rice cake, loach, snake meat and eel were also believed to cause a baby to be ill-tempered. The findings of this study are remarkably similar to those of the previous study conducted by the authour in 1966. Most of the same food taboos, based on non-scientific and irrational reasons, were found on Jeju Island as on the peninsula, and thor were similarly wide-spread. The results of correlational analysis show that the most significant factors related to prevalence of food taboos, are level of education and religious background. Number of food taboos is correlated with level of education. Also, food taboos are least freqent among the Christian woman. Proper nutrition education should he undertaken in order to encourage intake of protein-rich food, particularly during pregnancy when nutritional needs of mother and fetus are great.

의약품 관련 지식과 사용행태 연구 (Influences of Knowledge of Medicine on Medicine Utilization Behavior)

  • This study was conducted to provide basic data for development of public information program and public policy which could prevent the medicine abuse in Korea, examining the level of knowledge of medicine and its related factors. Data were collected from the 2,011 residents who live in mtropolitan cities, large-sized cities, small and medium cities, and small towns The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) In case of purchasing of medicines in pharmacy, 67.3% of the respondents chose the medicines through recommendations of the professionals such as pharmacists and doctors, while 32.7% of the respondents chose the medicine through self-judgement, advertizing, or recommendation of relative. 2) 64.7% of the respondents obtained the information on medicines through TV. It appeared to be higher in the groups of female of the twenties, the unmarred, a brother and sister threesome, highschool graduates, housewives, residents in small and medium cities, atheists, and the middle class, displaying the significant difference from the other groups. 3) 40.5% of the respondents recognized the side effect of the medicine when they took the medicine, while 34.4% did not recognize it. The rate of experience in the side effect was 39.7%. The informations on the medicine abuse and the risk of addiction were obtained through broadcast media (47.9%), publications (12.1%), and health professionals (11.6%). 4) 81.1% of the respondents experienced taking of the fatigue relieving medicine. The experience in taking of the fatigue relieving medicine appeared to be higher in the groups of the forties. the married. a brother and sister threesome. highschool graduates. persons engaging in farming, livestock raising, and forestry, the residents in small towns, and Christians. Each group displayed the significant difference from the other groups. 5) According to the level of knowledge of medicines, the respondents marked average 11.7 ± 3.76 points on the base of 24 points. It appeared to be higher in the groups of female of the twenties, a brother and sister foursome, college graduates, teachers, Catholics, and the middle class, displays the significant difference from the other groups. 6) According to the experience in taking of health medicine and health food, 81.1% of respondents had the experience in taking ‘the fatigue relieving medicine’; 72.4% ‘carrot or vegetable juice’; 69.5% ‘ginseng’; 63.0% ‘mushroom’; 42.5% ‘dog meat’; 38.0% ‘aloe’; 36.4 ‘deer antlers’; 11.4% ‘snake’; 2.0% ‘the penis of a fur seal’. 7) The factors influencing the level of knowledge of medicine include experiences in taking of the tonic, the fatigue relieving medicine, and the nutritive medicine, economic status, the number of brothers and sisters, education level, marital status, father's education level, and age. The factors influencing the experience in side effect of medicine are experiences in taking of the fatigue relieving medicine, the nutritive medicine, and the tonic, sex, age, education level, father's education level, marital status, economic status, religion, and the number of brothers and sisters. In conclusion, it is estimated that the level of knowledge of medicines is significantly low in Korea. Especially, it is found out that workmen, students, the upper class, the class of low education level, and persons engaging in farming, livestock raising, and forestry neglect importance of knowledge of medicine. Therefore, it is necessary for public authority, associations related, and health professionals to develop programs for public information and education to help people obtain basic knowledge of medicine.

경계선 기반의 대화형 영상분할 시스템 (Edge based Interactive Segmentation)

  • 영상분할이란 영상내의 이미지 상의 특정한 의미가 있는 영역으로 나누는 영상처리 방법을 일컫는다. 이미지 합성이나 분석을 위해서는 구분된 영역이 최대한 인간이 의미를 부여할 수 있는 물체를 나타내는 것이 바람직하나, 현재의 컴퓨터에의한 자동 영상이해 기법으로는 그 학문적 및 기술적인 한계로 인하여 영역의 분할이 수치적인 의미 이상을 가지게하기 어렵다. 따라서, 사용자가 결정적인 물체 경계의 정보를 제공하고 그에 기반하여 처리하는 HCI(Human Computer Interaction)개념을 도입하면 효과적인 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 기존의 "지능형 가위" (Intelligent Scissors)나 스네이크 (Snake) 방법 등에서도 사용자의 입력이 결과에 결정적인 역할을 하는 것을 보여준다 [1][2]. 본 논문은 기존의 방법에 비하여 미세한 영역의 경계를 추출 및 추적을 향상할 수 있는 효율적인 대화형 영상분할 기법을 제안한다. 제시된 방법은 지능형 가위의 개념에 일부 기반하나 안정된 경계선 추출을 위하여 이미 영상처리분야에서 확립된 캐니 경계 검출법(Canny Edge Detector)을 사용한다. 그리고 캐니 경계 검출법으로 잘 탐지되지 않는 경계선 부분에 대한 검출을 위하여 경계 "재봉법"(Sewing Method)을 제시하였으며, 작업 효과와 효율을 증진 시키기 위하여 인접 화소들을 검색하는 순서와 검색 대상 화소를 지정하는 5-방향 경계 추적 방법(5-Direction Edge-Following Method)을 제안하였다.
