본 연구에서는 신경세포인 슈반세포(SC)의 증식에 가장 적합한 생체재료를 연구하였다. 락타이드 글리콜라이드 공중합체(PLGA)에 탈미네랄 골분(demineralized bone particle, DBP), 소장점막하조직(small intestine submucosa, SIS), 그리고 실크를 각각 20% 첨가하여, 용매 증발법으로 각각의 필름을 제조하고, SC세포의 부착과 증식을 확인하기 위해 MTT, SEM 그리고 RT-PCR 분석을 실시하였다. 또한 필름의 친수성을 확인하기 위해 접촉각을 측정하였다. 분석 결과, PLGA/DBP 20% 필름에서 높은 친수성을 보였으며, SC의 부착과 증식률이 다른 군에 비해 크게 증가한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 PLGA/DBP 필름은 중추신경재생 재료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Lung diseases are common in general population and they are also important in insurance medicine. According to current textbook of insurance medicine, there are references of western research which performed at 1980s and early 2000. It's necessary to update the reference. In this article, several respiratory disorders such as Kartagener's syndrome, bronchial asthma, drug-resistant tuberculosis, etc are reviewed in terms of insurance medicine. Reference articles were used in Korean study, if possible. I hope this article being a role of helping many insurance doctors and underwriters in Korea.

Recently, TRAO Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory is developing wide-band digital spectrometer for radio astronomy, which will be used as back-end signal processing unit of Dual channel SIS receiver. So in this paper, we performed development of high speed digitizing sampler for the wide-band digital autocorrelator, which can perform sampling and quantization on pseudo-random gaussian noise with the maximum conversion speed of 1.5 Gsps..

In this paper, we presents a method for multi-level logic mainmization which is suitable for the minimization of look-up table type FPGAs. A pattern extraction algorithm is minimized AND/XOR multi-level circuits. The circuits apply to Roth-Karp decomposition which is most commonly used technique in the FPGA technology mapping. We tested the FPGA synthesis method using pattern extraction on a set of benchmark. The proposed method achieved reductions on the number of LUTs in mapping soultion as compared with MISII(or SIS) or previous results〔5〕

Recently Korean statistician have more chance to work with other researcher in other countries at international level. Especially the 53rd Scientist meeting of he International Statistical Institute(ISI) will be held in Seoul, Rep. of Korea at Aug 22-29, 2001. The fields of Statistics in Korea have been affected a lot from American Statistical Society. In this research communication, I would like to introduce a short history of he Italian statistical society and their major research topic and outputs. The contents will help us to understand the Italian statistician, and it can be a conner-stone to the future relationship between Korean statistician and Italian statistician.

We have developed a self-aligned single isolation structure (SIS) and an asymmetric single isolation structure with an image reversal photoresist to increase the aperture ratio in a passive matrix organic light emitting display (PMOLED). Compared to the conventional structure, the fabrication process is reduced by about 17% and the aperture ratio is enlarged over 4%.

In this paper, we propose a new method for power estimation in nodes of multi-level combinational circuits and describe its application to the extraction of common expressions for low power design. It is assumed that each node is implemented as a complex gate and the capacitance and the switching activity of the nodes are considered in the power estimation. Extracting common expressions which is accomplished mostly by the extraction of kernels, can be transformed to the problem of rectangle covering. We describe how the newly proposed estimation method can be applied to the rectangle covering problem and show the experimental results with comparisons to the results of SIS-1.2.

Structure-physical properties relationships for Aurivillius ceramics are discussed, with empha-sis in symmetry considerations. Single-crystal materials and polycrystal ceramics are analysed. Electric and magnetic coupling properties are considered. Colour Symmetry Groups and Texture Analysis tool are emploed. Symmetry conditions for polarisation vectors and inverse pole figures related to Aurivillius phases are given. The influence of crystallographic texture of the physical properties of polycrystalline Aurivillius ceramics is evaluated.

Multiple myeloma is characterized by the neoplastic proliferation of a single clone of plasma cells producing a monoclonal immunoglobulin and it is frequently associated with primary amyloidosis. I experienced a medical claims review case of plasma cell dyscrasia with primary amyloidosis. This medical consulting work to insurance claims will be helpful for another similar claims administration.

차세대원자로의 붕산희석사고시 노심에 유입되는 저농도 붕산수 slug의 혼합현상에 대한 해석을 수행하였다. FLUENT V4.47을 이용하여 inherent event와 external event로 분류되는 SBLOCA시와 SIS 주입에 따른 급속붕산희석현상에 대해 인차원 축대칭을 가정하여 해석을 수행하였다. 각각의 경우에 대하여 사고시 노심에 추가되는 정반응도는 1.86 %$\Delta$$\rho$ 이하로 계산되었으며, 이 결과는 원자로정지여유도 6.5 %$\Delta$$\rho$다 작은 값을 가지므로 원자로의 안전성을 유지하기에 충분한 여유를 갖는 것으로 해석되었다.
