전략 정보 시스템(SIS)은 나름대로의 경영 전략 이론에 바탕을 두고 있다. 본 연구는 지금까지의 SIS 바탕 이론들을 되짚어 보고, 고객 가치 지향성의 중요성과 간과된 점을 지적한다. 아울러, 고객 가치 관점에 기반을 둔 새로운 SIS모델을 제시하고 있다. 거래 가시성이라는 새로운 관점을 제시하며, 정보 시스템이 거래 가시성의 변화를 야기시키는데 훌륭히 일조할 수 있으며, 고객에게 다양한 가치를 제공할 수 있음을 주장하고 있다. 다양한 유형의 거래 가시성의 변화에 맞는 사례들도 아울러 제시하여, 실무가들의 이해 가능성도 높이고자 한다.

오늘날 대학은 지식 및 정보혁명에 대응하여 새로운 가상학습모델(가상대학, E-Learning)의 도입과 같은 교육 패러다임의 변화기에 놓여 있다. 이러한 변화기에 가상대학은 분명 대학에게 새로운 기회와 위협을 주고 있다. 만일 대학이 가상학습모델의 지원을 위한 가상대학시스템을 구축하고, 이를 미래의 중요한 전략적 요소로 인식한다면 가상대학시스템은 대학의 입장에서 볼 때 중요한 전략적 정보시스템이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 가상대학시스템을 대학의 중요한 전략정보시스템으로 인지하고 이에 대한 체계적인 전략계획수립을 위한 하나의 프레임웍을 제시하며, 가상대학시스템 전략수립에 있어 가장 큰 영향력을 가진 집단인 교수자의 의견과 요구사항을 분석하여 이들의 요구가 가상대학 전략수립에 어떻게 반영되어야 할 것인지를 제시하고자 한다.

Today, many universities are confronted with the changing education paradigm such as e-learning, Distance Education, Virtual University, This IT-based teaming paradigm shift is certainly a new opportunity or a threat to our universities. To overcome this problem the universities should think e-Learning as strategic weapon, such as many firms created competitive weapons from the information systems at the 1980s. So, e-Learning system can be a SIS(Strategic Information System) which supports university's future education strategies. To build a e-Learning system, not only many H/W and S/W resources but also expert personnels are required. An organization such as local university who is week at financial status can't himself plan the system. The Local University Community e-Learning Centers that support the demand of e-learning for their community are recommended. In order to operate these centers efficiently, the strategic roles of the e-Learning center should first be defined. To define the strategic roles, We classified the strategic roles of the e-Learning center into four dimensions, (1) to improve management efficiency, (2) to enhance educational service, (3) to acquire competitive advantages, (4) to build new education infrastructure, and each dimension has 5 or 6 measurement items. As result, to enhance the educational service was considered as the most significant factor among the four dimensions of strategic roles, and the infrastructure building was the next. We also tried to find the difference for each factor by the characteristics of responsor. The data showed that there was litter difference between the groups in evaluating the significance of strategic roles of e-learning centers. Through the strategic roles definition and analysis of expected role ratings, we could have recommended the direction and operation policies of the e-Loaming centers.

본 연구는 파워 프로세스(Power Process)의 관점에서 기업의 전략무기가 될 수 있는 공급사슬관리의 효과적 구축방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 파워 프로세스의 5가지 요소인 권력요소, 욕구, 가치, 환경, 관계성 등과 공급관리사슬의 전략 유형 및 기업의 제조성과의 관계를 살펴보는 실증조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과에 의하면 파워 프로세스의 5가지 요소의 상호작용이 활발한 유형의 SCM 전략이 다른 유형의 전략보다 제조성과가 높은 것으로 나타났다.

Downsizing IS is rapidly emerging as one of new information systems of the 1990s that involves (1) the cost reduction, (2) the reduction of MIS staff, and (3) the transfer of IS functions to end - users. As downsizing is relatively new information systems, little is known about the causes, the process, or the consequences of downsizing. Case study was chosen as the research methodology of this study. The downsizing IS of Namsun Aluminum Co. Ltd. in Taugu City was chosen for the exploratory case study. The detailed and qualitative analyses to Namsun were performed with the use of observation, participation, and interview techniques. Consequently, the causes, the process, and the consequences of Namsun's downsizing were analyzed and discussed. As for the main cause, downsizing was started with the purpose of cost reduction. The important consequences of downsizing IS are as follows : (1) About 700 million won reduction in the cost of initially developing the downsizing was achieved. (2) Downsizing is performing Namsun's mission critical applications. (3) Namsun's downsizing could be considered to be SIS(strategic information systems).

다운사이징 정보시스템은 원가의 절감 및 정보시스템 부서의 인원을 감소시키고 최종사용자의 기능을 확대시키는 1990년대의 정보시스템이지만, 아직까지는 신기술이기 때문에 다운사이징의 원인, 과정, 결과에 대해 알려진 것이 별로 없는 편이다. 본 연구에서는 연구방법으로써 사례연구방법을 채택하여 사례연구기업으로써 남선알미늄의 다운사이징 정보시스템을 선정하여 관찰, 참여, 면접등의 참여관찰방법을 사용하여 심층적이고 질적인 분석을 하였다. 사례연구기업의 다운사이징 원인, 과정, 결과를 살펴보았다. 다운사이징의 주원인은 원가를 절감시키기 위한 목적으로 시작되었다. 다운사이징의 중요한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 약 3억원의 비용으로 다운사이징 정보시스템을 개발하였으므로, 호스트중심의 컴퓨터에 의한 개발에 비해 약 7억원의 비용을 절감하였다. 2. 다운사이징 정보시스템에서는 남선의 핵심적인 업무를 처리하고 있다. 3. 핵심적인 업무를 다운사이징 정보시스템에서 처리함으로써, 다운사이징 정보시스템은 전략정보시스템(SIS)의 역활을 수행하고 있다고 볼 수 있다.

52개 저축은행을 대상으로 구조적 상황이론에 근거한 정보시스템 기술 구조와 경쟁적 전략적 적합성 여부의 관계를 조사하였다. 중앙 집중식 정보 기술과 분산형의 정보기술 구조가 경쟁 우위를 점하기 위해서는 공격주도형 전략이나 방어적 전략을 어떻게 일치를 시키는 것이 경쟁적 잇점에 긍적적인 영향을 미치는가에 관해서 실증 분석을 하였다. 이 연구에서 방어적 전략을 채택하는 경우에는 정보기술 구조를 중앙 집중적이고 통합된 형태를 취하고, 공격적인 형태의 전략을 채택하고자하는 경우에는 분산 형태 정보 기술구조를 취하는 것이 훨씬 더 유리하다는 결론을 얻었다.
