Measurement of Mode I Fracture Toughness of Rocks with Temperature and Moisture Conditions at Low Temperature (저온하에서의 온도 및 함수 조건에 따른 암석의 모드 I 파괴인성 측정)

  • Mode I fracture toughness ( $K_{IC}$) of the frozen rocks and that of the frozen-thawed rocks were obtained by using BDT and CCNBD specimens. The test temperatures ranged from +$25^{\circ}C$ to -16$0^{\circ}C$. Wet and air-dry specimens of granite and sandstone were used in order to investigate the effect of water and porosity on fracture toughness. The SEM images of the frozen-thawed rocks were also analysed to check the density of thermal cracks. The $K_{IC}$ of the frozen rocks increased as the test temperature went down. The rate of increase was higher in wet condition than in dry condition and the rate of increase for wet granite was higher than that for wet sandstone. The $K_{IC}$ of the frozen-thawed rocks varied within 15% from the $K_{IC}$ of the rocks at room temperature. After one freeze-thaw process, thermal crack occurred in granite but no thermal cracks occurred in sandstone. And the crack density was increased as the temperature went down.n.

The Effects of the Favorability of Korean Food on the Favorability of Korean Wave, Country Image, and Visit Intention to Korea : Focused on Young Vietnamese (한식콘텐츠 이용 경험자에게 형성된 한식호감도가 한류호감도, 국가이미지, 한국 방문의도에 미치는 영향 : 베트남 2030세대를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of Korean food contents influence to the Korean wave favorability, country image, and visit intention to Korea. Korean food contents are defined as that information or contents related with Korea food. In this survey, total 4 type of Korean food contents, Korean food recipe contents, Korean food culture story contents, Korean food restaurant guide contents and Korean food media contents were explained. The respondents were 147 young Vietnamese in residing in Ho Chi Minh city. The data were analyzed by PLS-SEM to explore influence of Korean food favorability with Korean food contents usage. After using Korean food contents, Korean food favorability influence country image and visit intention to Korea, mediating with Korean wave favorability. While Korean food favorability was not shown to influence visit intention directly. This study would contribute to make strategic Korean food contents and distribution, further accord with Hansik Globalization.

Thermal Conductivity of Thermally Conductive Ceramic Composites and Silicon Carbide/Epoxy Composites through Wetting Process (세라믹 방열 복합체의 열전도도 분석 및 Wetting Process를 이용한 SiC/에폭시 복합체)

  • Various kinds of thermal conductive ceramic/polymer composites (aluminum nitride, aluminum oxide, boron nitride, and silicon carbide/epoxy) were prepared by a casting method and their optical images were observed by FE-SEM. Among these, SiC/epoxy composite shows inhomogeneous dispersion features of SiC and air voids in the epoxy matrix layer, resulting in undesirable thermal conductive properties. To enhance the thermal conductivities of SiC/epoxy composites, the epoxy wetting method which can directly infiltrate the epoxy droplet onto filtrated SiC cake was employed to fabricate the homogeneously dispersed SiC/epoxy composite for ideal thermal conductive behavior, with maximum thermal conductivity of 3.85W/mK at 70 wt% of SiC filler contents.

Effect of Image Making Education on Self-Esteem and Education Satisfaction (이미지메이킹 교육이 자아존중감과 교육만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship among image making education, self-esteem and education satisfaction using airline service department in the university. In this study, 2 hypotheses based on literature reviews were employed. Questionnaire was also developed based on previous studies. A convenience sample of 240 students was surveyed and 218 usable questionnaires were analyzed. According to the exploratory factor analysis, image making education was divided into 'external image education', 'basic character education' and 'manner education'. Self-esteem, on the other hand, was categorized into the following variables: 'sense of value' and 'esteem' accordingly. Then the data and hypotheses were examined using structural equation modeling (SEM) by AMOS. The results are as follows. Firstly, 'external image' and 'manner education' have positive effect on 'sense of value' while manner education has effect on 'esteem'. Secondly, 'sense of value' and 'esteem' factor have positive effects on education satisfaction. Hence continuous and systematic education should be conducted to administer 'image making curriculum'. Self-esteem should also be taught in schools to encourage student's satisfaction on education. The contribution and limitations of this research were discussed and the future possible researches were mentioned.

A Study on the Relationship between Marketing Activities and Brand Equity in Nonprofit Organizations : Focused on the Donation Market of Charitable Organizations (비영리조직의 마케팅 활동과 브랜드 자산 간 관계에 관한 연구: 자선모금기관의 기부시장(donation market)을 중심으로)

  • This study explores the relationship between marketing activities and brand equity in nonprofit organizations, specifically investigating the relational linkage between four selected marketing mix elements and brand equity through the mediating role of brand equity dimensions. Employing a structural equation model, the study empirically tests research hypotheses and finds some important implication for brand equity creation strategies for nonprofits. The results show that brand association is the only dimension that is positively related to brand equity, reflecting the current donation market in Korea where nonprofits have such a low presence that donors have little knowledge and chance to identify their brands and to build trust relationships with them. Furthermore, the results highlight the importance and roles of promotion and process marketing efforts, as they are proved to enhance brand association. The study also finds that promotion is positively related to brand awareness and process contributes to perceived quality and brand loyalty. Based on these findings, the study suggest that nonprofits make further efforts on active promotion and process development to create positive, differentiated images and better accessibility, and finally improve their brand equity.

  • 수지상 구리분말은 하나의 상(statue)이 복수의 접점(contact point)를 제공하며 표면적이 넓은 구조적인 특징으로 인해 발열기판 전도성 페이스트 등 다양한 전기 전가 분야에 활용되어왔다. 때문에 본 연구에서는 전해도금방법으로 수지상 구리분말이 형성될 때 첨가제가 수지상의 형상에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 첨가제는 PEG, JGB를 사용하여 농도별로 실험을 진행하였다. SEM 이미지 분석결과 첨가제가 추가함에 따라 수지상이 미세해지며 첨가제의 농도가 증가함에 따라 DAS(dendrite arm spacing)값이 감소하여 표면적이 증가하였다. BET 비표면적 분석결과 PEG($1.882m^2/g$)보다 JGB($2.119m^2/g$)에서 표면적을 넓히는 효과가 뛰어났다.

  • The corrosion inhibition of imatinib mesylate (IMT) on mild steel in 0.25 M sulphuric acid has been studied using gravimetric and potentiodynamic polarization techniques at various concentrations of inhibitor, temperature and fluid velocities. The results obtained showed that, inhibition efficiency (% IE) increases with increasing concentration of the inhibitor. The adsorption process on mild steel surface follows Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The values of Gibbs free energies of adsorption obtained suggest that, the adsorption process of IMT on mild steel is chemisorption. Thermodynamic parameters were evaluated and discussed. The electron orbital density distribution of HOMO and LUMO of IMT was used to discuss the inhibition mechanism. FT-IR spectroscopy and SEM images were used to analyze the surface adsorbed film.

  • A spray-type cleaning agent in utilizing dust-remover on PCB was chosen to study the cleanliness test and efficiency. In order to choose alternative environmental-friendly cleaning agents, it is important that the systematic selection procedures should be introduced and applied through the evaluation of their cleaning ability, environmental characteristics, and economical factors, and that the objective and effective evaluation methods of cleanliness should be established for the industry. A novel cleaning evaluation method with scanning electron microscopy/energy-dispersive X-ray analysis of surface observation evaluation method and an infra-red thermography camera(THERMOVISION A20 model) was studied in this work. The sound card(CT-2770 model) cut by $2{\times}2cm$ size was used as a part, and before and after the spray cleaning, the cleanliness was observed by the image analyzer of SEM and further the removal efficiency of dust was quantitatively evaluated by the component analysis of EDX. For the parts of P4TE model motherboard and IPC-A-36 PCB plate, before and after the spray cleaning, temperature differences were measured and compared at room temperature and 50 oven temperature by an infra-red thermography camera in the contaminants of dust and iron powder.

Optical properties and color analysis of various pearl shells (다양한 진주조개 패각의 색상 및 광학적 특성 분석)

  • Optical properties and color analysis of nacreous layers were performed using various pearl shells. The cross section and microstructure of the surface in each nacreous layers were observed through a SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope), and the diffraction pattern on SEM images was analyzed using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform). Through these analysises, it was verified that the color and optical characteristics are closely related to the structure of nacreous layers. Incident angle-dependent reflection spectrum was used to examine the phenomena of color differenceas the direction of observation. Quantified values on the color change were obtained by CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ color scale. Using this research, database for the characteristics of natural pearl shells can be established, and the precise analytic method for observation of pearl shells was suggested.

Analysis of Heat-generating Performance, Flexural Strength and Microstructure of Conductive Mortar Mixed with Micro Steel Fiber and MWCNT (마이크로 강섬유와 MWCNT를 혼입한 전도성 모르타르의 발열성능, 휨강도 및 미세구조 분석 )

  • This study were conduced experimentally to analyze the heat-generating performance, flexural strength, and microstructure of conductive mortar mixed with micro steel fiber and multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWCNT). In the conductive mortar heat-generating performance and flexural strength tests, the mixing concentration of MWCNT was selected as 0.0wt%, 0.5wt%, and 1.0wt% relative to the weight of cement, and micro steel fibers were mixed at 2.0vol% relative to the volume. The performance experiments were conducted with various applied voltages (DC 10V, 30V, 60V) and different electrode spacings (40 mm, 120 mm) as parameters, and the flexural strength was measured at the curing age of 28 days and compared and analyzed with the normal mortar. Furthermore, the surface shape and microstructure of conductive mortar were analyzed using a field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). The results showed that the heat-generating performance improved as the mixing concentration of MWCNT and the applied voltage increased, and it further improved as the electrode spacing became narrower. However, even if the mixing concentration of MWCNT was added up to 1.0 wt%, the heat-generating performance was not significantly improved. As a result of the flexural strength test, the average flexural strength of all specimens except the PM specimen and the MWCNT mixed specimens was 4.5 MPa or more, showing high flexural strength due to the incorporation of micro steel fibers. Through FE-SEM image analysis, Through FE-SEM image analysis, it was confirmed that a conductive network was formed between micro steel fibers and MWCNT particles in the cement matrix.
