비터비 알고리즘을 이용한 r=1/3, K=9 콘벌루션 복부호기의 설계 (Design of ${\gamma}$=1/3, K=9 Convolutional Codec Using Viterbi Algorithm)

  • 채널의 영향으로 수신 데이터에서 발생한 에러를 정정할 수 있는 부호율 ${\gamma}$=1/3이고 구속장 K=9인 콘벌루션 코덱 칩을 간략한 회로에 주안점을 두고 VLSI 설계한다. 복호기에서는 3비트 연성판정을 이용한 비터비 알고리즘이 사용된다. 정보 데이터의 정정과 저장을 위해서는 45단의 레지스터 교환 방식을 채택하였다. 회로의 설계시 VHDL 언어를 이용하였고, 회로의 시뮬레이션과 합성을 위해 Synopsys사의 Design Analysis와 VHDL 시뮬레이터를 사용하였다. 이 칩은 ENCODER, ALIGN, BMC, ACS, SEL_MIN 및 REG_EXCH 블럭으로 구성된다. 회로의 동작은 여러 가지 에러 상황을 가정하여 논리 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였고, 합성 후 타이밍 시뮬레이션 결과 325.5Kbps의 정보 데이터까지 부호 및 복호가 가능하였으며, 외부 메모리부를 제외하면 총 6,894 게이트가 소요되었다.

소형비행기 소음인증 및 비행시험을 통한 검증방안 연구 (Study on the Small Airplane Noise Certification and the Means of Compliance through the Flight Test)

  • 현재 항공기 민수인증분야에서 국제적으로 사용하고 있는 항공기 소음인증기준인 ICAO Annex 16 Vol. I에서는 항공기의 종류에 따라 A-Weighted SPL, EPNL, SEL 계산법을 사용하고 있다. 우리나라를 포함한 미국, 유럽도 이를 기반으로 항공기 소음인증기준을 개발하여 사용하고 있으며, KAS 36, CS 36, FAR 36 기준이 모두 동등하고 제한 값은 동일하다. 소형 항공기의 경우에는 이륙소음 한계만 규정하고 있으며, dB(A) 단위의 A-Weighted SPL 계산법을 사용하고 있다. 국내에서는 2012년 8월에 KC-100 항공기에 대하여 소음인증을 최초로 수행한 바 있으며, 당시 FAA와 함께 KAS 36과 FAR 36 해당 기준을 동시에 만족하는지 시험평가 되었다. 소음인증시험의 경우 시험조건과 처리방법이 까다로워 많은 경험과 배경지식이 필요하다. 이에 KC-100 인증비행시험을 기반으로 소형비행기의 소음인증 기준 분석과 시험조건 및 데이터 처리방법을 실 인증사례를 바탕으로 제시하고자 한다.

Quantitative Speciation of Selenium in Human Blood Serum and Urine with AE- RP- and AF-HPLC-ICP/MS

  • Various separation modes in HPLC, such as anion exchange (AE), reversed-phase (RP), and affinity (AF) chromatography were examined for the separation of selenium species in human blood serum and urine. While RP- and AE-HPLC were mainly used for the separation of small molecular selenium species, double column AF-HPLC achieved the separation of selenoproteins in blood serum efficiently. Further, the effluent of AF-HPLC was enzymatically hydrolyzed and then analyzed with RP HPLC for selenoamino acid study. The versatility of the hybrid technique makes the in-depth study of selenium species possible. For quantification, post column isotope dilution (ID) with $^{78}Se$ spike was performed. ORC ICP/MS (octapole reaction cell inductively coupled plasma/mass spectrometry) was used with 4 mL $min^{-1}$ Hydrogen as reaction gas. In urine sample, inorganic selenium and SeCys were identified. In blood serum, selenoproteins GPx, SelP and SeAlb were detected and quantified. The concentration for GPx, SelP and SeAlb was $22.8{\pm}3.4\;ng\;g^{-1}$, $45.2{\pm}1.7\;ng\;g^{-1}$, and $16.1{\pm}2.2\;ng\;g^{-1}$, respectively when $^{80}Se/^{78}Se$ was used. The sum of these selenoproteins ($84.1{\pm}4.4\;ng\;g^{-1}$) agrees well with the total selenium concentration measured with the ID method of $87.0{\pm}3.0\;ng\;g^{-1}$. Enzymatic hydrolysis of each selenium proteins revealed that SeCys is the major amino acid for all three proteins and SeMet is contained in SeAlb only.

포장 콘크리트의 크기 효과에 따른 휨 강도 특성 분석에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Size-effect for Characteristic of Flexural Strength of Pavement Concrete)

  • 국내 포장 콘크리트의 품질관리는 KS 규정에 따라 재령 28일 휨 인장강도를 기준으로 평가되고 있으며, 현재 대부분 사용되고 있는 휨 인장강도 시험체는 상대적으로 큰 $150{\times}150{\times}550mm$ 시험체를 사용하고 있다. 이에 따라 시험체의 취급이 어렵고 양생조의 활용도가 떨어지고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 휨 인장강도 시험체를 줄여 이 같은 문제점을 해결하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 KS에서 규정되고 있는 시험체 크기의 내에서 로그 스케일에 따른 압축강도 및 휨 강도 시험을 실시하고, 시험체 크기를 변수로 설정하여 강도 및 표준편차를 분석하였다. 또한 이와 같은 실내 실험을 바탕으로 Bazant가 제안한 크기 효과 법칙(Size effect law, SEL)의 예측식을 사용하여 비교 분석함으로써 시험체 크기간의 상관성을 검토하여 콘크리트 포장의 품질 평가시 시험체 크기 축소를 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다.

전자빔 증착기로 제작한 태양전지용 $CuInS_2$ 박막특성 (Properties of $CuInS_2$ thin film Solar Cell Fabricated by Electron beam Evaporator)

  • Single phase $CuInS_2$ thin film with a highest diffraction peak (112) at a diffraction angle ($2\Theta$) of $27.7^{\circ}$ was well made by SEL method at annealing temperature of $250^{\circ}C$ and annealing hour of 60 min in vacuum of $10^{-3}$ Torr or in S ambience for an hour. And the peak of diffraction intensity at miller index (112) of $CuInS_2$ thin film annealed in S ambience was shown a little higher about 11 % than in only vacuum. Single phase $CuInS_2$ thin films were appeared from 0.85 to 1.26 of Cu/In composition ratio and sulfur composition ratios of $CuInS_2$ thin films fabricated in S ambience were all over 50 atom%. Also when $CuInS_2$ composition ratio was 1.03, $CuInS_2$ thin film with chalcopyrite structure had the highest XRD peak (112). The largest lattice constant of a and grain size of $CuInS_2$ thin film in S ambience was 5.63 ${\AA}$ and 1.2 ${\mu}m$ respectively. And the films in S ambience were all p-conduction type with resistivities of around $10^{-1}{\Omega}cm$.

AutoFe-Sel: A Meta-learning based methodology for Recommending Feature Subset Selection Algorithms

  • Automated machine learning, often referred to as "AutoML," is the process of automating the time-consuming and iterative procedures that are associated with the building of machine learning models. There have been significant contributions in this area across a number of different stages of accomplishing a data-mining task, including model selection, hyper-parameter optimization, and preprocessing method selection. Among them, preprocessing method selection is a relatively new and fast growing research area. The current work is focused on the recommendation of preprocessing methods, i.e., feature subset selection (FSS) algorithms. One limitation in the existing studies regarding FSS algorithm recommendation is the use of a single learner for meta-modeling, which restricts its capabilities in the metamodeling. Moreover, the meta-modeling in the existing studies is typically based on a single group of data characterization measures (DCMs). Nonetheless, there are a number of complementary DCM groups, and their combination will allow them to leverage their diversity, resulting in improved meta-modeling. This study aims to address these limitations by proposing an architecture for preprocess method selection that uses ensemble learning for meta-modeling, namely AutoFE-Sel. To evaluate the proposed method, we performed an extensive experimental evaluation involving 8 FSS algorithms, 3 groups of DCMs, and 125 datasets. Results show that the proposed method achieves better performance compared to three baseline methods. The proposed architecture can also be easily extended to other preprocessing method selections, e.g., noise-filter selection and imbalance handling method selection.

Estimation based on lower record values from exponentiated Pareto distribution

  • In this paper, we aim to estimate two scale-parameters of exponentiated Pareto distribution (EPD) based on lower record values. Record values arise naturally in many real life applications involving data relating to weather, sport, economics and life testing studies. We calculate the Bayesian estimators for the two parameters of EPD based on lower record values. The Bayes estimators of two parameters for the EPD with lower record values under the squared error loss (SEL), linex loss (LL) and entropy loss (EL) functions are provided. Lindley's approximate method is used to compute these estimators. We compare the Bayesian estimators in the sense of the bias and root mean squared estimates (RMSE).

비행자료기록(FDR)에 의한 B747-400 항공기의 나리타-김포 비행 분석 (The analysis of NRT-SEL of the B747-400 Aircraft by FDR(Flight Data Recorder))

  • The number of civil aviation aircraft registered in Korea has continuously increased. Accordingly the accidents accompanying loss of human or economic resources occurred repeatedly. But the analysis of flight data recorded in FDR was not done by ourselves in the accident investigation because of lack of analysis technology. Therefore, this study is performed to secure the safety of civil aviation by establishing systematic analysis ability of Flight Data Recorder. Through this study, download flight data to personal computer, editing interface file to convert from binary data to engineering data, three dimensional graphical analysis and numerical analysis are performed. For the analysis, the flight of B747-400 model aircraft between Narita(Japan) and Gimpo(Korea) was selected.

디젤기관의 대체연료로서 미장유의 특성 연구(II) (A Study on Characteristics of Rice Bran Oil as an Alternative Fuel in Diesel Engine(II))

  • In this study, it was tried to analyze not only total hydrocarbon but individual hydrocarbon components from C$_1$to C$\sub$6/ in exhaust gas using gas chromatography to seek the reason fur remarkable differences of smoke emission of diesel fuel, esterfied rice bran oil and blended fuel(esterfied rice bran oil 20vo1-% + diesel fuel 80vo1-%). Individual hydrocarbons(C$_1$ ∼C$\sub$6/) as well as total hydrocarbon of esterfied rice bran oil is reduced remarkably compared with diesel fuel. Although smoke emission of esterfied rice bran oil reduced remarkably compared with commercial diesel fuel, NOx emission of esterfied rice bran oil and blended fuel was increased slightly at high loads and speeds. And, it was tried to reduced NOx emission of them by exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) method. Simultaneous reduction of smoke and NOx emission was achieved with the combination of esterfied rice bran oil and EGR method in consequence.
