Design of the Virtual SD Memory Card System on the Embedded Linux (임베디드 리눅스에서의 가상 SD 메모리 카드 시스템 설계)

  • SD memory cards are widely used in portable digital devices, and most of them exploit NAND flash memory as their storage, so that they have a feature of storing users' important data safely with low costs. In case of using NAND flash memory as storage, however, there is no method to store users' data if memory capacity is insufficient when transferring a large volume of data. This paper proposes a virtual SD memory card system. It used a SD memory card device driver to process data requested from a host by exploiting external storage rather than by exploiting flash memory as a memory core for storing data to the SD memory card. For experiment, it used the FPGA-based SD card slave controller IP on the SMC controller with a S3C2450 ARM CPU to test.

  • As mobile digital devices have come into more widespread use, the demand for mobile storage devices have been increasing rapidly and most of digital cameras and camcorders are using SD memory cards. The SD memory card are generally employing a form of copying data into a personal computer after storing user data based on flash memory. The current paper proposes the SD memory card of being capable of storing photograph and image data through network rather than using a method of storing data in flash memory. By delivering data and memory address values obtained through SD Slave IP to network server without sending them to flash memory, one can store data necessary to be stored in a computer's SD memory in real time in a safe and convenient way.

  • Protocol analyzer is being used to analyze proper processing of CMD & data when developing SD slave IP. In this thesis, a protocol analyzer was developed for analyzing SD protocol in Windows environment using Visual C++. SD protocol analyzer consists of embedded Linux software for storing SD memory data and MFC program for analyzing this. As for protocol analysis, it has been designed to collect data transmitted from SD memory card to host by Linux software for its analysis by MFC. It was found through the experiment that the CMD type could be confirmed that occurs when reading and writing data to SD memory card using the developed board, and debugging the problems that occur was possible.

  • 최근 메모리 반도체 시장은 SD(Secure Digital) 메모리 카드, SSD(Solid State Drive)등의 보급률 증가로 메모리 반도체의 시장이 대규모로 증가하고 있다. 메모리 반도체는 개인용 컴퓨터 뿐만 아니라 스마프폰, 테플릿 PC, 교육용 임베디드 보드 등 다양한 산업에서 이용 되고 있다. 또한 메모리 반도체 생산 업체가 대규모로 메모리 반도체 산업에 투자하면서 메모리 반도체 시장은 대규모로 성장되었다. 플래시 메모리는 크게 NAND-Type과 NOR-Type으로 나뉘며 플로팅 게이트 셀의 전압의 따라 SLC(Single Level Cell)과 MLC(Multi Level Cell) 그리고 TLC(Triple Level Cell)로 구분 된다. SLC 및 MLC NAND-Type 플래시 메모리는 많은 연구가 진행되고 이용되고 있지만, TLC NAND-Tpye 플래시 메모리는 많은 연구가 진행되고 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 제안된 SLC 및 MLC NAND-Type 플래시 메모리에서 제안된 큐브 패턴을 TLC NAND-Type 플래시 메모리에서 적용 가능한 큐브 패턴 및 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • An aging Society solitary life old mans are increasing. The nurses have to visit old mans and must confirm their disease, because they do not act well. It is very difficult to take care old man, because the number of Nurses are small. This problem is solved by collection of data about condition of old mans from long distance. Data communication with Ethernet have benefit to collection of measurement of old man's condition. The Data storage system an long distance place are storaged data and after several day data was transmitted to the DB over the Ethernet. For Miniaturization of such system the system must be OS-less Embedded Ethernet Server system. Such system manages the file management system only with H/W. The Storage device is used SD-card. SD Card is small size and operates with small power. By using 512MB sd memory card, it is possible to storage during 5~6 years, 10 byte of temperature value per second. In this paper, we make a Embedded Ethernet Server using W3100A, Atmega128 MCU and data stroage device using SD-Card. This system operates with O/S-less Embedded Ethernet Server. We talk about file System, Storage and Ethernet. We explained about MCU Atmega128, Interface between LAN LSIand W3100A, Interface between W3100A and Phyceiver RTL8201, data I/O between MCU and SD-Card and File System. We shows the experiment device and result of monitoring.

Because of Mobile OS, Android has limitation in media streaming, recording and playing for Set-top box function with only support external storage device Micro-SD card.   • 기술이 발달함에 따라 USB메모리, 보안 SD카드, 보안인증토큰 등 이동형 저장 매체도 비약적인 발전을 하고 있다. USB의 가격이 저렴해지고 작아지면서 용량의 확장도 증가하여 다양한 이용을 할 수 있게 되었다. 하지만 분실율이 높고 보안성이 낮아 다수의 사용자에게 중요한 회사의 기밀이나 개인의 인적 사항들이 노출 될 수 있다. 이를 위해 PUF를 이용하여 플래시 메모리 마다 고유키를 저장, 생성하여 외부 유출이 없이 사용자 인증을 하기 위한 플래시 드라이버의 구조 및 프로토콜을 제안하고자 한다.

  • We have developed the process of forming one body S-type cantilever probe in the recessed trench for fine-pitched MEMS probe card. The probe (cantilever beam and pyramid tip) was formed using Deep RIE etching and wet etching. The pyramid tip was formed by the wet etching using KOH and TMAH. The process of forming the curved probe was also developed by the wet etching. Therefore, the fabricated probe is applicable for the probe card for DRAM, Flash memory and RF devices tests and probe tip for IC test socket.

  • Lately, NAND flash cards have been used to store massive amounts of multimedia data. However, these nand flash cells itself has a slow operation time and by that, the nand flash cards are not appropriate for high performance massive data transfer. Indeed, most flash card products have a disadvantage in that they require plenty of time to transfer massive amounts of data. Therefore, we propose a new architectural design for the hardware and software of the NAND flash cards by improving their data transfer rate. Our design is based on a multiprocessing which is different from the conventional serial processing method. We simulated our design under the VIP (Virtual IP) environment, and verified our work using FPGA test platforms. As a result, the downloading performances was approximately 160MB/s on VIP and 85.3MB/s on FPGA.

  • This paper proposes a design of phone card IC with the self-test features and the hardware and software security functions. We design and verify the proposed functions with modeling the terminal system environment. The proposed phone card IC provides instructions and a non-volatile memory block containing the manufacturer / issuer / user information, the unit (money) value, and the security key. The self-test functions are designed to improve the test time degradation due to a serial I/O communication. Also some security features are implemented using hardware and software approaches.
