금속염화물이 담지된 V2O5-WO3/TiO2 계 SCR 촉매에 의한 수은 및 NO 동시 제거 (Simultaneous Removal of Mercury and NO by Metal Chloride-loaded V2O5-WO3/TiO2-based SCR catalysts)

  • HCl에 의한 원소수은의 염화수은으로의 산화반응에 대한 열역학적 검토 결과 수십 ppm 수준의 HCl이 존재하는 경우에 SCR 반응 온도범위에서 원소수은의 염화수은으로의 전환은 100% 가능한 것으로 확인하였다. SCR공정 운전 온도범위에서 Cu, Fe, Mn의 염화물이 담지된 $V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2$ 촉매가 우수한 NO 제거 활성을 보였다. $NH_3-TPD$ 측정결과 $NH_3$의 흡착강도를 나타내는 탈착온도가 높은 촉매가 우수한 NO 제거활성을 나타내었다. 반응가스에 HCl을 공급할 경우 원소수은의 산화반응이 촉진되는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 그러나, NO와 함께 $NH_3$가 존재하는 SCR반응 조건에서는 촉매표면에 강하게 흡착되는 $NH_3$에 의해 촉매표면에 HCl의 흡착이 방해를 받기 때문에 HCl에 의한 원소수은의 염화수은으로의 산화반응 활성이 억제되는 것으로 나타났다. SCR반응 조건에서 금속염화물이 담지된 $V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2$ 촉매가 금속염화물이 담지되지 않은 $V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2$ 촉매에 비해 우수한 수은 산화활성을 보이는데 이는 촉매 표면에 존재하는 금속염화물의 염소기가 수은 산화반응에 참여하여 활성을 증가시키기 때문으로 판단된다.

  • LNT(Lean $NO_X$ Trap), LNC(Lean $NO_X$ Catalyst), SCR(Selective Catalytic Reduction)과 같은 $NO_X$ 저감기술은 상용차뿐만이 아닌 승용차량 성능향상을 위해 지속적으로 개발이 진행되고 있다. 특히 Urea-SCR 시스템은 연료손실 없이 이론상 100%에 가깝게 $NO_X$를 저감하는 가장 효과적인 기술로 환원반응으로 배기가스를 $N_2$$H_2O$로 배출하기 위해 환원제인 요소수를 분사해야한다. 하지만 엔진에서와는 달리 실제차량에서의 적용은 SCR 효율이 떨어지게 된다. 따라서 실제차량에서의 SCR 효율을 극대화하는 기술 개발이 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는, Post EURO-6 배기가스 규제에 대응하기 위한 디젤승용차량에서의 Urea-SCR의 $NO_X$ 저감 성능에 의한 저감효율의 극대화를 목적으로 실차용 Urea-SCR 시스템 위한 기초자료로 제시하고자 한다.

Design of SCR-Based ESD Protection Circuit for 3.3 V I/O and 20 V Power Clamp

  • In this paper, MOS-triggered silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR)-based electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuits for mobile application in 3.3 V I/O and SCR-based ESD protection circuits with floating N+/P+ diffusion regions for inverter and light-emitting diode driver applications in 20 V power clamps were designed. The breakdown voltage is induced by a grounded-gate NMOS (ggNMOS) in the MOS-triggered SCR-based ESD protection circuit for 3.3 V I/O. This lowers the breakdown voltage of the SCR by providing a trigger current to the P-well of the SCR. However, the operation resistance is increased compared to SCR, because additional diffusion regions increase the overall resistance of the protection circuit. To overcome this problem, the number of ggNMOS fingers was increased. The ESD protection circuit for the power clamp application at 20 V had a breakdown voltage of 23 V; the product of a high holding voltage by the N+/P+ floating diffusion region. The trigger voltage was improved by the partial insertion of a P-body to narrow the gap between the trigger and holding voltages. The ESD protection circuits for low- and high-voltage applications were designed using $0.18{\mu}m$ Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS technology, with $100{\mu}m$ width. Electrical characteristics and robustness are analyzed by a transmission line pulse measurement and an ESD pulse generator (ESS-6008).

배연탈질 SCR 반응기내 유동균일 화를 위한 축소모형실험 및 전산해석 (Reduced Scale Model Experiments and Numerical Simulation for Flow Uniformity in de-NOx SCR Reactor)

  • SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) process is presently considered as one of the most effective techniques for removing nitric oxides from exhaust gases. In this study, based on the conceptually designed SCR reactor of 500 MW coal fired power plant. a reduced scale (1/20) SCR reactor model was made to analyze the flow pattern in front of catalyst layer according to the guide vane's design factors such as the number, interval, and angle of vanes. The results of the test were compared to those numerical simulation in order to assure the reliability of two methods. On the basis of our study. the critical Reynolds number (2.0$\times$ 10$^{5}$ ) was proposed for ensuring the similarity between the reduced scale model and the prototype of SCR reactor. Optimum design parameters of guide vanes were determined as follows, 4 vanes, the first vane angle of 93$^{\circ}$, and the vane intervals of 0.85 S/n, 1.05 S/n, 1.1 S/n, 1.0S/n, 1.0S/n (S: the distance of duct, n: the number of guide vanes). The excellent agreement between the results of the numerical simulation and the reduced scale model provides the validation of two methods for prediction of flow through SCR reactor.

제올라이트 종류 및 이온교환 물질에 따른 NH3-SCR 촉매 반응 특성 (The Effects of Zeolite Structure and Ion-exchange Material on NH3-SCR Reaction)

  • $NH_3$-SCR has high NOx removal efficiency approximately 80~90%. Recently, the copper or iron ion-exchanged zeolite catalysts are widely used as automobile SCR catalysts. In this paper, the effect of the space velocity, temperature of reaction and $NO_2$ addition on the $NH_3$-SCR reaction were studied using various zeolite SCR catalysts. The test was conducted with small sized fresh catalysts in a laboratory fixed-bed flow reactor system using simulated gases. It is found that the activity of the BEA is better than MFI. It seems that three-dimensional framework and a wide pore entrance of BEA enhances the SCR activity. It is also found that low temperature activity of Cu-zeolites was better than Fe-zeolites. Once $NO_2$ was added, the NOx conversion activity of the Cu-zeolite was slightly enhanced, whereas remarkable improvement was achieved by Fe-zeolite.

Development of a variable resistance-capacitance model with time delay for urea-SCR system

  • Experimental research shows that the nitric oxides ($NO_X$) concentration track at the outlet of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst with a transient variation of Adblue dosage has a time delay and it features a characteristic of resistance-capacitance (RC). The phenomenon brings obstacles to get the simultaneously $NO_X$ expected to be reduced and equi-molar ammonia available to SCR reaction, which finally inhibits $NO_X$ conversion efficiency. Generally, engine loads change frequently, which triggers a rapid changing of Adblue dosage, and it aggravates the air quality that are caused by $NO_X$ emission and ammonia slip. In order to increase the conversion efficiency of $NO_X$ and avoid secondary pollution, the paper gives a comprehensive analysis of the SCR system and tells readers the key factors that affect time delay and RC characteristics. Accordingly, a map of time delay is established and a solution method for time constant and proportional constant is carried out. Finally, the paper accurately describes the input-output state relation of SCR system by using "variable RC model with time delay". The model can be used for a real-time correction of Adblue dosage, which can increase the conversion efficiency of $NO_X$ in SCR system and avoid secondary pollution forming. Obviously, the results of the work discover an avenue for the SCR control strategy.

  • Selective catalytic reduction(SCR) is an exhaust gas reduction device to remove nitro oxides (NOx). SCR operation of ship can be controlled through valves for minimizing economic loss from SCR. Valve in SCR-high pressure (HP) system is directly connected to engine exhaust and operates in high temperature and high pressure. Long-term thermal deformation induced by engine heat weakens the sealing of the valve, which can lead to unexpected failures during ship sailing. In order to prevent the unexpected failures due to long-term valve thermal deformation, a failure prediction system using autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) was proposed. Based on the heating experiment, virtual data mimicking temperature range around the SCR-HP valve were produced. By detecting abnormal temperature rise and fall based on the short-term ARIMA prediction, an algorithm determines whether present temperature data is required for failure prediction. The signal processed by the data collection algorithm was interpolated for the failure prediction. By comparing mean average error (MAE) and root mean square error (RMSE), ARIMA model and suitable prediction instant were determined.

국내 EGR과 SCR 장착 중형트럭 대기오염물질 배출 특성 (Characteristics of Air Pollutants Emission from Medium-duty Trucks Equipped EGR and SCR in Korea)

  • NOx and PM are important air pollutants as vehicle management policy aspect. Medium-duty truck is the main source of the pollutants although the vehicle market share is only 3.5%. National emission portion of NOx and PM form the mobile sourece are 14% and 16% respectively. In this study it was investigated that characteristics of air pollutants emission on medium duty truck equipped with EGR and SCR system. Vehicle's test reflected driving cycle on the chassis dynamometer, and applied test cycle was WHVC(World Harmonized Vehicle Cycle) mode. The test cycle include three segments, represent urban, rural and motorway driving. Based on the test results NOx, PM, HC were less emitted form SCR vehicle than EGR vehicle. And CO was less emitted form EGR vehicle than SCR vehicle due to CO oxidation reaction on DPF surface. And most air pollutants reduced as average vehicle speed increased. Pollutants were less emitted on motorway section than urban and rural sections. But highly NOx emission on motorway section was verified according to increased EGR ratio on fast vehicle speed. HC and CO additional emission was identified as 68%, 58% respectively during SCR vehicle's cold engine start emission test. NOx additional emission was detected by 24% on SCR vehicle's condition of engine cold start while not detected on vehicle equipped with EGR. SCR vehicle's additional NOx emission was derived from low reaction temperature during engine cold start condition. medium-duty truck emission characteristics were investigated in this study and expected to used to improve air pollutants management policy of medium-duty truck equipped with SCR & EGR.

  • 소프트웨어를 개발하고 운영하는 동안 직면하는 문제들은 소프트웨어나 하드웨어 또는 운영의 결함에 기인한다. 이들의 다양성 문제, 문제들을 조정하고 체계적으로 원인을 규명하기 위한 문제 발생의 규명 및 수정 작업을 중심적으로 관리하는 시스템이 요구 되고 있다.본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 개발 수명 주기(Softwate Development Life Cycle :SDIC)에서 획득할 수 있는 결함 데이터(Fault Data) 프로세스 데이터(Precess Data) 프로덕트 데이터(Preduct Data)를 수집하고 분석하기 위한 소프트웨어 문제 보고서 (Software Change Report:SCR)를 처리하는 SPR/SCR 관리시스를 개발하고 적용하였다. SPR/SCR 관리 시스템의 목적은 4가지가 있다. 첫째로 모든 소프트웨어 결함들을 문서 화하고, 수정하며 무시않는다. 둘째로 SPR의 타당성에 대해 평가된다. 셋째로 SPR의 진행 상태를 개발자 또는 사용자에게 피드백한다., 넷째로 소프트웨어 품질과 신뢰성을 예측하고 측정하기 위한 기본 자료를 제공한다. 이들 목표는 SRE/SCR 관리시스템의 적용에 의해 충족시킬 수 있다. 또한 소프트웨어 신뢰성의 달성 비욜, 테스트의 종료기준, 릴 리 즈 시기의 예측, 효율적인 개발 관리에 반영될 수 있다.

촉매삽입형 Urea-SCR 머플러 다공튜브 형상변화에 따른 NOx 저감 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on NOx Reduction with Multi-Perforated Tube Geometry in Integrated Urea-SCR Muffler)

  • Urea-SCR 머플러 시스템 입구와 촉매 전단에 설치된 다공튜브는 우레아 수용액 분무의 균일분포, SCR 촉매 활용도 증대 및 암모니아 슬립을 방지하기 위해 사용되고 있다. 다공튜브의 오리피스 면적비 변화가 머플러 챔버 내부유동 특성에 끼치는 영향이 상용 소프트웨어를 이용하여 해석적으로 조사되었다. 다공튜브 오리피스 면적비 변화는 촉매 전단에 설치된 챔버 내부의 벌크 선회유동 형성과 촉매 전단 속도분포의 균일도 지수에 큰 영향을 끼침을 보였다. 해석결과를 검증하기 위해 엔진실험이 ESC 및 ETC 모드에서 수행되었다. 엔진 실험결과 다공튜브 길이방향으로 보다 많은 유량이 흐르는 모델이 가장 높은 NOx 저감 효율을 나타냈으며, 이것은 높은 균일도지수 및 강한 선회유동을 나타내는 해석 결과와 일치됨을 알 수 있었다.
