We consider supply chain which consist of one manufacturer, one distributor and N retailers for a single product. This paper determines inventory replenishment period of supply chain using heuristic method and propose order policy through re-coordination of inventory replenishment. Also, We develops inventory management model to calculate total cost of supply chain under assumptions of constant demand. The computational results show that the proposed inventory replenishment period and inventory management model is efficient.

In the last decade, the issue of supply chain management(SCM) has emerged as a significant topic in the logistics literature in the developed countries. Also recently the concept of SCM has generated considerable interest in korean firms. However, there has been little systematic analysis of the experience of those companies that have used such SCM philosophy. This paper studies introduction and Application of Korean Trading Companies using SCM philosophy. This study forcuses on how Korean firms can use the SCM by reinforcing their logistics systems. The objectives of this paper are. 1. To develop an understanding of the forces that have created an interest in SCM. 2. To examine the obstacles encountered in implementing SCM. 3. To suggest the impact of the use of SCM and the directions for institutional Development.

The organizations in the competitive business environment are under pressure of handling internal management processes as well as external supply chain issues. In addition, the paradigm of supply chain management (SCM) has been shifted from static to dynamic problems. For the efficient SCM, organizations should be a RTE (Real Time Enterprises) that views entire supply chains as a single entity. In this paper, the agent system that makes RTE and dynamic supply chains possible is developed. Then, the developed agent system is verified in the TAC SCM(Trading Agent Competition Supply Chain Management) experimental environment and a dashboard is also developed for monitoring management activities of supply chains. The contributions of this paper are as followings. First, unlike the previous agent systems, the suggested agent system in this paper provides autonomy and scalability using SOA. Second, this suggested model for dynamic environment can be applied for the development of software supporting a SCM.

Supply Chain Management (SCM) has drawn high attention and been discussed and under investigation for over two decades. However, how Hong Kong manufacturing firms carry out SCM is still unclear. In order to open the myth on what essentials are critical for SCM implementation, a large-scale questionnaire survey was conducted together with Expert Interviews in 2003. A SCM framework was then developed in which all the critical factors were summarized, categorized and prioritized to come up with a foundation for a self-assessment system for improving SCM performance.

To achieve this goal the researcher diversifies the prerequisites for the success of the business which will be the strategical factors of the production systems. Supply Chain Management is the process of planning, implementing and controlling the operations of the supply chain to satisfy customer requirements as efficiently as possible. It spans all movements and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point-of-origin to point-of-consumption. Korean Standards Association claims the Supply Chain Quality Management(SCQM) as a win-win model of organizations among the supply chains for the best product/service quality to final customers. The SCQM is focused on quality of product/service and will do much for improving manufacturing performance between customer and suppliers. Consulting-teams make every effort to design suitable solution for constructing solutions and improving the performance. This study is to analyze the performance of SCQM consulting, from July of 2007 to June of 2008, and would provide some guidelines to design the optimal consulting models and develop guidebooks.

This study explored the impact of interactional justice on supply-chain collaboration and sustainable supply-chain performance. Accordingly, it classified interactional justice of supply-chain management (SCM) into interpersonal and informational justice, and empirically classified the effects of these subordinate concepts on supply-chain collaboration and sustainable supply-chain performance. To this end, 700 questionnaires were distributed, and 201 final valid responses were used for the statistical analysis which revealed the significant positive influence of interpersonal justice on informational justice. This indicates that courtesy, respect, and proper words are important in the relationship between buyers and sellers. Both interpersonal and informational justice had a significant positive relationship with supply-chain collaboration. The results suggest that a fair-trade environment should be cultivated to encourage and facilitate seller-buyer collaboration. Lastly, supply-chain collaboration had a positive influence on sustainable supply-chain performance. This implies that if justice is not perceived in the seller-buyer relationship, collaboration can be hindered, which negatively impacts corporate performance. These findings also helped to understand the importance of interactional justice and to propose a new relationship between interpersonal and informational justice.

Supply Chain Management is drawing attention of business management all over the world. A number of SCM cases from world-class enterprises have been reported. However, not many detailed SCM cases from Korean enterprises have been reported in the literature. In this paper, we present SCM cases of Korea to illustrate what specific activities are conducted and how, mostly from practical viewpoint instead of academic viewpoint; and relate the cases with the SCM framework, so as to provide better view and insights for implementing effective SCM.

The goal of enterprises is to make a profit. They should change and evolve themselves according to various customers' demand and developing information technology. The construction industry has not been used to such a change of business environment, although it has a long history. So it needs a new management system that accepts the various demands of construction participants and keeps pace with the evolving environment where is replaced by high-valued one. In this point, this research's objective is to apply SCM which shows visible outcome in the manufacturing industry, to the construction industry. This study regards the concept of SCM not as a simple management method, but as a comprehensive one. In other words, SCM is composed of three viewpoints; control, organization and information technology. SCM is to improve process by new management method, to benefit each other by strategical cooperation among participants, and to make information delivery and saving system for maintaining the relationship.

It is very difficult that a company could grow with its own competitiveness in modern global competition era. The pattern of competition is changing from company-to-company to supply chain network-to-supply chain network. In order to enhance competitiveness and survive capability by combining inter-enterprises core competencies, the effort to integrate and optimize supply chain are increasing. The purpose of this study was to specify the effects of SCM characteristics on supply chain partnership and corporate performance through corporate characteristics such as agility and visibility. So as to verify hypotheses, multiple regression analysis was performed by using SPSS statistical package. The results showed that SCM characteristics had the positive effect on agility and visibility, and supply chain partnership and corporate performance was statistically influenced by agility and visibility. This study contributes on the SCM related research in that it investigated SCM activities of construction machinery industry.
