본 연구에서는 천연자원 식용 해조류인 톳으로부터 톳의 면역 증강효과를 알아보고자 마우스를 이용한 생체 내(in vivo) 실험 연구를 수행하였다. 톳 열수 추출물을 4주간 격일로 0, 50, 500 mg/kg b.w.의 농도로 마우스에 경구투여한 후 비장세포 증식능과 복강 대식세포에서 분비하는 사이토카인(IL-$1{\beta}$, IL-6, TNF-${\alpha}$) 분비량에 미치는 영향을 검색한 결과 두 농도 모두 Con A나 LPS로 자극 시 대조군에 비해 높은 비장세포 증식능을 보였고, 특히 50 mg/kg b.w. 농도로 투여한 군에서 비장세포 증식능이 최대를 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 복강 대식세포에 의한 사이토카인 분비량을 측정한 결과 LPS 첨가 시 IL-$1{\beta}$의 분비량은 500 mg/kg b.w.의 농도군에서 가장 높은 생성량이 관찰되었다. 이는 LPS를 투여한 군과 투여하지 않은 군에서 모두 동일한 경향을 보였다. IL-6 분비량은 LPS 첨가 시 50 mg/kg b.w.의 농도 투여군에서 가장 높은 생성을 나타냈다. TNF-${\alpha}$의 경우는 50 mg/kg b.w.의 농도로 투여한 군에서 대조군보다 유의적으로 높은 수준의 TNF-${\alpha}$가 분비되었다. 이상의 본 연구에서는 50 mg/kg b.w. 톳 열수 추출물 투여군에서 비장세포 증식능과 IL-$1{\beta}$, IL-6, TNF-${\alpha}$의 분비량을 상승시키는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이처럼 톳 열수 추출물은 마우스 면역계의 조절기전에 작용하여 면역세포 활성을 직접적으로 촉진시키거나 또는 이와 관련된 다른 면역반응에 영향을 미침으로써 면역활성에 효과적으로 작용할 수 있으리라 사료된다. 앞으로 인체에 대한 유용한 검색이 중요한 의의가 있다고 생각되며, 톳에 존재하는 면역활성물질의 순수 분리 및 동정이 계속적으로 이루어져야 할 필요가 있고 작용 기전과 이용에 대한 상세한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

본 연구에서는 인터넷 환경에 적합한 동적기하 소프트웨어에 대하여 논의하였다. 먼저 동적기하 소프트웨어의 필요성을 살펴보고, 상용되고 있는 소프트웨어인 GSP, Cabri, Cinderella의 기능 및 특징을 비교하였다. 그리고 본 연구진에 의하여 국내 최초로 개발된 DRC(Digital Ruler and Compass)의 개발과정과 구조에 대하여 알아보고, 인터넷 환경에서 DRC를 활용한 학습 방안에 대하여 알아보고 이후의 발전전망에 대하여 논의하였다.

Many industries like energy, utilities, ice cream and leisure sports are closely related to the weather. In order to hedge weather related risks, they invest their assets with portfolios like option, coupons, future, and other weather derivatives. Among weather related derivatives, CDD and HDD index options are mainly transacted between companies. In this paper, the autocorrelation system of temperature will be checked for several cities in Korea and the parameter estimation will be carried based on the maximum likelihood estimation. Since the log likelihood increase as the number of parameters increases, we adopt the Schwarz information criterion .

The paper describes the major developments in agricultural engineering education at Silsoe College in the U.K. over the period 1960 to the present. It seeks to relate these developments to the profound changes which have taken plane in the agricultural , agricultural engineering, food and allied industries during the past three decades which are outlined. The emergence of deep public concerns about environmental and animal welfare issues combined with the reform of Europe's Common Agricultural Policy (C.A.P). now in train have had a major impact on the evolution of educational provision within the College and on the profit of its research. It is concluded that prospects for the discipline and profession remain healthy provided the new agenda is addressed.

지금까지 H. Aebli, A. Fricke, R.W. Copeland, G. Steiner, E. Wittmann, R.R.Skemp, Z.P. Dienes등에 의해 Piaget이론의 수학교육적 연구가 상당한 정도로 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 Centre International D'epistemologie Genetique를 중심으로 한 집단사고와 방대한 연구결과를 집약한 소위 'Piaget이론'은 타에 그 종례를 찾아볼 수 없는 포괄적인 것인 바, 지금까지 이루어진 Piaget이론의 수학교육적 접근은 Piaget이론의 한정된 부분의 단편적인 응용에 불과하며, Piaget의 발생적 수학인식론 및 심리학의 중심원리와 연구결과를 반영한 보다 철저한 연구가 요망되고 있다. 본 고는 그 이론적 기초에 관한 연구의 일환으로 1969년에 출판된 Psychologie et pedagogie에 실린 'La didactique des mathematiques'와 1972년 ICMI의 제2차 수학교육국제회의에 기고한 논문 'Comments on mathematical education'에 나타난 수학교육에 대한 Piaget자신의 견해를 그의 수학인식론의 분석적 고찰을 통해 양세화하고, 그 실제적 구현방안을 제시해 본 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to develop a program based on the Earth system based program to help students achieve science literacy. This program was designed to be connected across grade levels, and contents of the program were constructed to have meaningful interdisciplinary context. All the activities in the program were inquiry-based, and understanding of the nature of science was considered essential throughout the program. In addition, appreciation and stewardship for the Earth system were systematically emphasized on any grade level. Design of the program applied U.S. National Science Education Standards for the quality of and conditions for school science programs.

Almost all business are affected by the weather so that weather derivatives has been traded to hedge weather risk. Since the weather itself is not an asset with a market price, some analysts believe that the Black-Scholes equation could not be used appropriately to price weather derivative options. But some weather derivatives can be considered as an Asian option, we revisit the Black-scholes model. Numerical solution of the Black-Scholes equation has a significant error at the money option or around the money option, it is necessary to adopt adaptive mesh near to the strike value. Here we propose a numerical method with an adaptive grid refinement.

This paper presents a Web-based educational tool for Power System Engineering, especially for power engineers. This tool has Web-oriented educational courses for power system education. The Web-based learning has become more popular year by year in the various fields[1-2]. The proposed educational tool provides some courses such as power system introduction Course, KEPCO's system introduction Course, Power system devices Course, Power Flow Course, OPF Course, ELD Course, Stability Analysis Course, Fault analysis Course, Voltage & Frequency control Course, and power system planning & operation Course. Finally, it will be scheduled to install for the education tool of the power system engineering for KEPS[3].

An array of FeCo nanotubes has been successfully fabricated in the pores of porous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates by wetting templates method. The morphology and structure of the nanotube array were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and x-ray diffraction. The average diameter of the nanotubes was about 200 nm, and the length was more than 10 ${\mu}m$. Vibrating sample magnetometer and superconducting quantum interference device were used to investigate the magnetic properties of the nanotube array. Interaction between the nanotubes has been found to be demagnetizing as expected and the switching field distribution is broad.

This paper presents a experimental study of two-phase flow boiling of FC-72 in multi channels. Flow boiling heat transfer coefficients are obtained with mass flux ranging from 152.9 to $353.9kg/m^2s$ and heat flux from 5.6 to $46.1kW/m^2$. The experimental results show that the heat transfer is governed by nucleate boiling mechanism in the low heat flux region. However, it is found that the effects of nucleate boiling and forced convection boiling are combined as the heat flux increases. A new correlation to predict the heat transfer coefficient is developed by using the dimensionless number such as Reynolds number, Weber number, boiling number. This correlation shows good predictive accuracy against the measured data.
