농촌 가족구조 분석 (Family Structure in Rural Korea)

  • The purpose of the study was to analyze the family structure in rural Korea systematically and comprehensively according to the broad concept. The data was collected from 810 rural households by interview method with questionnaire. For the analysis, family structure was divided into aspects of static structure and dynamic structure. The static structure was constructed by two components of demographic structure and typological structure. The dynamic structure was also constructed by three components of decision making structure, role structure, and dynamic relationship structure of family members. In demographic structure, family size was 4.1 persons, families, with more female were 35.2%, and families with elder husband than wife were 82.5%, In the typological structure, nuclear family type with two-generation was predominant. In dynamic structure, role structure was autonomic type while conjugal power structure was compounded type with autonomic, syncratic, and husband-dominant type.

경기도 도농복합시의 경제공간 변화와 유형 분류 (The Change of Economic Space and the Classification of Urban-Rural Consolidated Cities in Gyeonggi-do)

  • 우리나라에서 도농복합시는 도시지역과 농촌지역의 균형발전을 도모하기 위하여 1995년부터 등장하였다. 본 연구에서는 경기도의 11개 도농복합시를 대상으로, 도시내 산업입지에 따른 경제공간의 변화가 어떻게 양상으로 전개되었는지를 고찰하였다. 경기도의 도농복합시에서는 산업활동의 입지가 활발하게 이루어짐에 따라, 분석 대상에 포함된 모든 도시의 사업체수가 증가하였다. 그러나 개별 도시를 도시지역과 농촌지역으로 구분하여 경제공간의 변화를 고찰한 결과, 이천시와 안성시를 제외한 9개 도시에서 도시지역으로의 경제활동 쏠림현상이 심화되었다. 도시지역으로의 경제활동 쏠림현상은 남양주시 포천시 용인시에서 특히 두드러졌다. 주요 산업부문별 도시지역과 농촌지역의 경제활동 입지 변화를 토대로 실시한 도농복합시의 유형화에서는 5개의 유형이 도출되었다. 경제공간의 변화 유형은 도농격차 심화형, 도시지역 성장둔화형, 농촌지역 성장형, 도농균형 성장형, 도시지역 성장주도형 등이다. 경기도의 도농복합시에서는 거대도시 서울이나 도시화 수준이 높은 도시에 접한 도시일수록 도농격차가 심화되었고, 대도시로부터 멀리 떨어진 도시일수록 도시지역의 성장이 상대적으로 둔화되었다.

  • This study is conducted to propose urban park utilization and master plan in rural areas. Urban parks designed for the rural areas can be divided into three types: a themed type for rural tourism, a community type for hub regenerations and a waterfront type for using agricultural reservoirs. To use the themes and characteristics of ruralness, these types are required a multi-layered spatial structure. And ecological, cultural and economic networks of local tourism resources have to be integrated by utilizing agricultural reservoirs. Therefore, urban parks in rural areas can be defined as a part of the public benefit project aiming to revitalize the local economy. Also, urban parks are necessary to use attractions and amenities in rural areas. Based on theoretical backgrounds, this study proposed two sustainable master plans as the tourism resource development project for Baelyeonje, Gulye-gun. For ecological and cultural sustainability, this study proposed the environment restoration plan which reinforces the scenic resource of Nogodan in Mt. Jiri by developing the underdevelopment plan with consideration of the local landscape characteristics and resources. For economic sustainability, building the Mt. Jiri tourism complex and economic communities are needed to promote investments for securing mutual economic benefits. To achieve the sustainability, further studies related to the social equity and investment of private capital in rural areas are needed.

농촌지역 생활형 (휴양)관광지 발전모델 연구 - 일본의 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Development Model of Life-Type Tourism Destination - Focusing on the Japanese Practical Case -)

  • This study was conducted to effectively develop rural tourism in Korea. For the purpose, tourism that can develop with local industries and cultures together was designated as life-type tourism and development models of such tourism were reviewed based on an understanding that province-oriented tourism is necessary. An analysis of three actual cases of Japan led to following results. First, life-type tourist destinations can be developed in connection with making local areas based on their special themes, can be developed in relation to their life cultures based on their peculiar life cultures and can be developed in creative forms using characteristic environment and organizational culture of those areas. In pursuing life-type tourist attractions, it will be possible to make practical development using it with those three basic models. Second, it is important to form a flow covering the entire regions based on their own special themes, to build cyclical structure of regions and tourism and tourism and industries and to create overall conditions that can help local residents get benefits and join together, in order to develop such life-type tourist destinations. Development of life-type resort tourist destinations needs roles of practical organizations that can effectively manage them, but such organizations should be dynamic and should be distant from management of money as much as possible.

Design and Construction of a Pick-up Type Pulse Crop Harvester

  • Purpose: This aim of this study was to develop a pick-up type pulse crop harvester for harvesting cut and dried pulse crop. Methods: The pick-up type pulse crop harvester was designed and constructed. Its specifications and operating performance were investigated. Results: Compared with conventional bean harvesters, the pick-up type pulse crop harvester adopted seven rows of chains with tines to pick-up the cut and dried pulse crop on a flat or ridged field, two transverse threshing drums with steel wire teeth to reduce the threshing speed, and a tilt plate and plastic bucket elevator for conveying clean grain to reduce damage. The threshing speed and the oscillating frequency of the separating and cleaning parts according to crop type and condition could be varied easily to efficiently use engine power and to improve harvesting performance. The harvester showed forward speed ranges of 0 ~ 1.5 m/s during harvesting operation, and 0 ~ 2.5 m/s during road travelling. The pick-up width of the harvester was about 1 m. Conclusions: The pick-up type self-propelled 51.5 kW harvester was designed and constructed to harvest cut and dried pulse crop. The effective field capacity of the harvester was predicted as above 40 a/h.

가뭄 대응형 지하수 개발 우선순위 선정을 위한 농촌용수구역의 유형 분석 (Classifying Agricultural Districts for Prioritizing Groudwater Development Area based on Correlation and Cluster Analysis)

  • In this study, we analyzed the characteristics of 511 agricultural districts through statistical data, and classify these districts as the vulnerable area to drought through correlation and cluster analysis. The criteria for classification was related to ground-water recharge, irrigation water demand, and water supply. As a result, 8 types of agricultural districts were extracted. For example, the type 1 indicated the high priority area for ground-water development, thus the districts which were classified as type 1 showed ground-water use was less than 80 % of maximum capacity, and irrigation water supply was only 37.5 % and 76.5 % of irrigation water demand in upland and paddy field, respectively. As a result, 44 of 511 districts were classified as type 1.36 districts (types 5-8) were areas where groundwater development is limited. The results of this study are expected to provide useful information for establishing the direction of the rural area development project in connection with the revitalization of policy of people return to rural area.

농업의 6차산업화가 농가 및 농업법인의 농업 및 농외소득에 미치는 영향 (The effect of the 6th industrialization in agriculture on farm and off-farm income)

  • This study aims to identify feasible policy direction of the 6th industrialization in agriculture based on the current agricultural and rural environment in Korea. To do so, this study employes a heckman selection model to correct a probable selection bias, utilizing the Korean agricultural census in 2010 and the agricultural statistics of farm enterprises in 2011. This study focuses on the differences of the farm and off-farm income determinants, according to conjoint types of the 6th industrialization such as Type 1 (primary+secondary+tertiary) vs. Type 2 (primary+secondary or primary+tertiary). The empirical results show Type 2 has much higher possibilities to earn farm and off-farm income in Korea, especially for farm enterprises. This study concludes with providing some policy implications reflecting rural and agricultural environment in Korea.

일본 농촌주택의 현대화에 의한 평면변화에 관한 연구 - 일본(日本) 기옥현 궁대정(宮代町)을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Plan Change in Japan Rural House by the Modernization - Focused on the Miyashiro in Saitama pref., Japan -)

  • A house is basic unit of human being living space and it reflects an occupation, family relation, a life style and sense of value of resident. To analyze of modernization process the rural house in Japan diversely and systematically, this study examined the elements and characteristics of changing floor plan in house through field studies and residential interviewing about the rural house of Miyashiro, Saitama pref. in Japan. The results of this study are as follow. First, the traditional TANOJI type changed into NAKAROUKA and TSUZUKIMA type on modernizing process. Second, Toma is an important space of farmhouse. It is succeeded with the element, which is the possibility of knowing the remnant of traditional element from modern rural house. Third, the cause of changing floor plan is a narrow and small space by growth of children. That is the most factor of changing house deterioration of equipments and necessity of children's space.

농촌마을 재생을 위한 정자쉼터 공간구조분석과 이용 후 평가 - 경산권, 김천권 정자쉼터를 대상으로 - (Spatial Structure Analysis and Post Occupancy Evaluation of Jungja(Pavilion) Shelter for Rural Village Regeneration - On the Jungja Shelter in Gimcheom city and Kyeongsan city -)

  • This study is to analyze the spatial structure and POE of Jungja(pavilion) shelter for rural village regeneration. 14 Jungja shelter space at rural villages in Gyungbuk province, were investigated. An interview questionnaire was conducted for total 139 residents as POE. The use behavior and satisfaction for Jungja shelter space, were investigated. The statistical analysis were mean of satisfactions, reliability, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results and discussions can be objective data for rural village regeneration. In satisfaction level, 'Continuous use intention'(3.99), 'Well-suited approach'(3.87), and 'Helpful in resident living'(3.84) were shown to be high points of agreement in 5 point Likert type scale. But, the mean points were low as 2.01 in 'Surrounding landscape', 'Creation of green areas'(3.22), and 'Traffic safety'(3.22), respectively. Within use satisfaction, 5 factors were categorized, 'Use', 'Safety', 'Facility', 'Management' and 'Users'. By the result of multiple regression analysis, variables of 'Continuous use', 'Convenient location', and 'Image improvement', were shown to be main affecting variables to overall satisfaction. Furthermore, in spatial structure analysis, 4 types were categorized with the aspect of landform, roads, and location in village. The levels of satisfaction were shown to be high in village type of semi-open, road type of circular, and location type of center/back. Conclusively, these findings could be utilized as basic data and useful tool of space-structural satisfaction analytic method, and for each stage of planning/design and remodeling for rural village regeneration.

크롤러 타입 자주식 수집형 감자 수확기 개발 및 성능분석 (Development and Performance Analysis of Self-Propelled Crawler and Gathering Type Potato Harvester)

  • Potatoes are one of the world's four major crops, and domestic consumption is currently increasing in Korea. However, the mechanization rate of potatoes is very low, and especially, harvesting is the most labor-intensive task in potato production. In Korea, potato-collecting work depends on manpower, so it is necessary to develop a gathering-type harvester that can be used for processes from digging to harvesting. Therefore, in this study, a self-propelled-type potato harvester was developed, and its performance was analyzed to mechanize harvesting. The potato harvester was developed to have a crawler-type driving part with a 60 hp diesel engine and consisted of a digging part that digs potatoes from the ground, a vertical transporting part that transfers the dug potatoes to the height of the collection bag, a separating part that separates debris, such as stones and soil, and a collecting part that loads the collection box. A field test of the potato harvester was conducted, and performance was evaluated by the damage, loss, and debris mixing proportions, which were 2.5%, 2.8%, and 2.6%, respectively. The working capacity was 1.2 h/10 a. The economic analysis results showed that the cost of harvesting work could be reduced by 12.7% compared to manual harvesting.
