Implementation of Battery 'State of Charge' Estimation algorithm (배터리 'State of Charge' 예측 알고리즘 구현)

  • These days more electric devices are implemented in car, and more accurate estimation of SoC is required. OCV with current integration and Internal Resistance is essential method of Battery SoC Estimation. In this paper we propose OCV with current integration method and compare with Internal Resistance method. In OCV with current integration method estimation error was less than average 2%, but requires more than 5 minutes to stabilize OCV. If Stop and Running conditions are change frequently, estimation error will increase. In Internal resistance Modeling method, in high SoC state, estimation error was more than 15%, and in low SoC state, estimation error was less than 8%.

  • Modern AC electric car has PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)-controlled converters, which give rise to higher harmonics. The current harmonics injected from AC electric car is propagated through power feeding circuit, As the feeding circuit is a distributed constant circuit composed of RLC, the capacitance of the feeding circuit and the inductance on the side of power system cause a parallel resonance and a magnification of current harmonics at a specific frequency. The magnified current harmonics usually brings about various problems. That is, the current harmonics makes interference in the adjacent lines of communications and the railway signalling system. Furthermore, in case it flows on the side of power system, not only overheating and vibration at the power capacitors but also wrong operation at the protective devices can occur. Therefore, the exact assessment of the harmonic current flow must be undertaken at design and planning stage for the electric traction systems. From these point of view, this study presents an approach to model and to analyse traction power feeding system focused on the amplification of harmonic current The proposed algorithm is applied to a standard AT(Auto-transformer)-fed test system in which electric car with PWM-controlled converters is running.

  • In this paper, an exciter current control of a synchronous generator for ships using a compound type digital automatic voltage regulator (DVAR) in order to provide a constant output voltage of the generator is presented. The compound type DAVR is composed of a controller part to adjust output voltage and an power source unit to supply power to the exciter. The controller part, which generates the PWM switching pattern via the PI controller, drives a power MOSFET for bypass to limit the SG's exciter current. The power source unit part is parallel connected to an output terminal of the generator through a reactor and a power CT. The residual magnetic flux of SG provides exciter current to the exciter through the reactor during the initial running or no load state and load current supplies field current to the exciter through the power CT during loading state. This paper confirmed an experiment to verify the validity of compound type DAVR system for controlling output voltage of synchronous generator.

  • In present, most of metallic structures(gas pipeline, oil pipeline, water pipeline, etc) are running parallel with subway and power line in seoul. Moreover subway system and power line make a stray current due to electrical corrosion on metallic structures. The owner of metallic structures has a burden of responsibility for the protection of corrosion and the prevention against big accident such as gas explosion or soil pollution and so on. So, they have to measure and analyze the data about P/S(Pipe to Soil) potential due to stray current of subway system. In this paper, results of development about Real-time Wireless Remote Monitoring System for Stray Current of Subway System are presented.

  • Current Internet and Intranet developments are focusing on network multimedia services involving the transport of real-time multimedia streams. In this paper, we present a real-time MPEG2 Encoding/Decoding systems and a MPEG2 stream player running on client systems based on real-time transport protocol(RTP). The MPEG2 player has been implemented by using JMF and java applet. We have tested our prototype systems with one of possible multimedia sources, camcoder, to verify its functional correctness and measure its performance.

  • This paper describes an empherical equation which is to predict the engine condition of the supersonic aircraft. The equation, which is a function of running time of engine and engine oil, is derived from the trend analysis of JOAP data. Qualitative analysis is carried out to make up for the weak points in the current JOAP system. Also wear debris collected from the abnormal engine is analyzed by EDS to detect the damaged parts of engine.

  • More than sixty percentages of tunnels in the second phase of Seoul subway project have the ground coverages less than twenty meters. Majority of ground conditions encountered during turutel ling, therefore, are weathered rocks or weathered scils. Substantial lengths of tunnels are being constructed and designed running through the alluvial deposits as well. A comprehensive evaluation of current design and construction technology of Seoul subway tunnels is made with four categories such as site investigations, design concepts and methods, auxiliary measures and quality controls. Critical comments are given and some suggestions for the improvement of technology are presented.

  • The contact wire uplift amount was measured for the conventional and the high speed catenary during KTX dynamic test period. The contact wire uplift amount is considered as a important parameter in determining and designing of the specific catenary. The measurements were conducted in wayside and onboard of KTX through the high speed camera and the current collection video monitoring system installed in KTX roof. This paper describes the measured results.

  • The CFHT currently has three instruments running in QSO mode and one in Classical mode. I will touch on the capabilities of these instruments and give an update on the future instrumentation at CFHT. One new instrument, SITELLE, is scheduled to be delivered to CFHT at the end of the year. Another instrument which is a proof of concept is GRACES which should see first light during the summer. I will also give an update on the Dome Venting project and the Next generation CFHT.
