Owing to the nature of locality in mask layouts, it appears that most mask layout problems can be solved by transforming a part of the given mask layout into a better layout segment continuously toward a global suboptimal solution. This notion of local transformation addresses major weak points of existing mask layout processing systems, which lack both extensibility and unifiability. This paper attempts to elaborate upon developing a new rule-based mask layout transformation system wherein most of the mask layout problems can be solved under the unified framework of local mask layout transformation. The rule-based mask layout transformation system is applicable to various mask layout problems such as net extraction, mask layout compaction, mask layout editing, and design rule checking. The experimental results show that the rule-based expert system approach is an efficient means of solving those mask layout problems, and thus confronting major drawbacks of existing layout processing systems.

A knowledge-based with production rules is a representation of static knowledge of an expert. On the other hand, a real system such as the stock market is dynamic in nature. Therefore we need a method to reflect the dynamic nature of a system when we make inferences with a knowledge-based system. This paper suggests a strategy of dynamic inference that can be used to take into account the dynamic behavior of decision-making with the knowledge-based system consisted of fuzzy production rules. A degree of match(DM) between actual input information and a condition of a rule is represented by a value [0,1]. Weights of relative importance of attributes in a rule are obtained by the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. Then these weights are applied as exponents for the DM, and the DMs in a rule are combined, with the Min operator, into a single DM for the rule. In this way, the importance of attributes of a rule, which can be changed from time to time, can be reflected in an inference with fuzzy production systems.

Recently we extended the fuzzy model for rule based systems incorporating an importance factor for each rule. The model permits for both unrestricted as well as non-negative importance factors. We use this extended model to design a fuzzy rule based classifier system which uses both the firing strength of the rule and the importance factor to decide the class label. The effectiveness of the scheme is established using several data sets.

This paper proposes a Expert CAPP System for integrating CAD/CAM of rotational work-part by rule based approach. The CAD/CAPP integration is performed by the recognition of machined features from the 2-D CAD data (IGES) file. Selecting functions of the process planning are performed in modularized rule base by forward chaining inference, and operation sequences are determined by means of heuristic search algorithm. For CAPP/CAM integration, post-processor generates NC code from route sheet file. This system coded in OPS5 and C language on PC/AT, and EMCO CNC lathe interfaced with PC through DNC and RS-232C.

In this paper, we study on a subset selection procedure based on Hodges-Lehmann estimators derived from the Wilcoxon test. To estimate the standard error of the Hodges-Lehmann estimators, the biweight A-estimator of scale is used. The Pitman efficiency of the proposed rule is compared with the Gupta's rule and the trimmed-means rule through a small-sample Monte Carlo study. The results show that the proposed rule satisfies the $P^*$-condition and is very efficient in various heavy-tailed distributions.

본 연구에서는 한계비용 이론에 바탕을 둔 램지가격결정방식과 효율적요소가격결정방식을 이용하여 천연가스 가격체계의 이론적 모형을 도출함으로써 사회후생의 최적화를 달성하기 위한 국내 가스가격결정방식의 개선방향을 제시하였다. 사례연구를 통하여 국내 가스산업의 현행 원가보상방식, 램지가격결정방식과 효율적요소가격결정방식에 의한 가격간에 배분효율성과 사회후생을 비교 분석하였다. 배분효율성은 도시가스용의 경우에 원가보상방식이 램지가격결정방식 및 효율적요소가격결정방식에 비하여 높게 나타났으나, 발전용의 경우는 원가보상방식이 두 방식에 비하여 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 반면에 사회후생효과는 현행의 원가보상에 의한 가격결정방식보다 램지가격결정방식과 효율적요소가격결정방식을 적용하는 것이 보다 더 향상되는 것으로 나타났다.

본고에서는 트랜지스터의 게이트 크기, 연결관계를 표현하는 입력 회로 정보와 트랜지스터가 배치될 규격을 표시하는 78개의 rule을 이용해 효과적인 배치를 행하는 rule based 배치 프로그램에 대해 기술했다. 본 연구의 결과는 이후 진행될 배선 연구에 이용되어 트랜지스터 회로의 레이아웃 시스팀을 구축하기 위해 응용될 것이다. 프로그램은 VAX-II/750 UNIX 4.2 BSD하의 Franzlisp으로 개발되었다.

서비스 지향 아키텍처(Service Oriented Architecture)는 엔터프라이즈 애플리케이션 개발 시 유연성을 보장하여, 비즈니스 변화에 최대한 민첩하게 대응하도록 지원한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 비즈니스와 제약조건을 하나의 서비스로 코딩하는 일반적 접근법은 비즈니스 룰의 변경을 위하여 전체 결합로직을 변경하는 등 많은 자원을 소모하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 서비스 시스템 개발에 관점 지향 기법(Aspect Oriented Approach)을 확장하여 적용한다. 관점 지향 기법의 기존 핵심관심(Core Concern), 횡단관심(Cross Cutting Concern)이외에 비즈니스 프로세스와 서비스에 포함된 비즈니스 룰을 룰관심(Rule Concern)이라는 새로운 관심사로 분리한다. 룰관심은 수준에 따라 프로세스 룰관심(PRA: Process Rule Aspect)과 서비스 룰관심(SRA: Service Rule Aspect)으로 구분된다. 시스템은 이러한 관심사의 분리를 통하여 핵심관심, 횡단관심 및 룰관심으로 각각 모듈화 되고 독립적으로 유지보수 되어 서비스 시스템의 적용성, 재사용성 및 유지보수성을 높일 수 있다.

Automated Guided Vehicles are widely used as an essential material handling system for FMS to provide flexibility and efficiency. We suggest a new dispatching rule based on priority function which considers urgency and empty vehicle travel time under finite buffer capacity. We evaluate the performance of the proposed rule by comparing the performance of Shortest Travel Time/Distance(STT/D) rule in terms of machine utilization, throughput and WIP level using simulation. The simulation results show that the suggested dispatching rule is robust and provides better machine utilization, throughput with comparable WIP level compared to STT/D rule.

In this Paper, a rule-based method for the phenomenon of Korean vocal sound change is proposed. This method could be used to solve a problem between symbolic(Hangul)and phonetic language(Korean) for the study of Korean speech processing. A rule on the phenomenon of vocal sound rearranged for the rule base with a end-consonents on the authority of standard pronunciation rule. The proposed rule base system is simplified by the implementation for the vocal sound change. Also, it is useful to create the data base with phonetic value for the Korean voice processing by syllable unit.
