Analysis and Modeling of Fishing Boat's Power Network for using Renewable Energy Source (신재생 에너지원 활용을 위한 어선 전력계통 분석 및 모델링)

  • A modeling method of electric power network inside a fishing boat less than 5 tons is proposed for its high-energy efficiency with renewable energy sources. The power network inside the fishing boat consists of a diesel engine, a starter motor, an alternator, battery packs, and electric loads, which are connected in parallel. To obtain proper power network model, the voltage -current characteristics of the electric components are considered to develop elaborate electrical models under several load conditions. Measured data of the battery and alternator current include noise. By using an average method, the AC components from the power network of the fishing boat can be reduced, which is verified by KCL rule. Using the proposed power network model, the power generation of the alternator and the reduction of diesel consumption in the boat's engine are predictable under various operating conditions. The validity of the proposed methodology is verified by comparing simulation results with experimental measurements using statistical inferences.

  • In South Korea, small photovoltaic equipment is increasingly adopted in more detached houses on the constant basis. With this broader use of small photovoltaic equipment, its systematic maintenance becomes all the more necessary. However, photovoltaic facility maintenance has been concentrated solely on large-scale solar energy generation plants in the country while hardly covering smaller facilities. In this research, the JEM rule and extant maintenance company services were analyzed to develop a proper maintenance model for small photovoltaic equipment. The maintenance service procedures designed herein are as follows: A small photovoltaic equipment user chooses a maintenance company and signs a contract. Once a contract is made, the Korea Energy Management Corporation provides a certain kind of incentive to the company. The company provides maintenance service to the user and receives a service fee. If such a maintenance service model is in place, small photovoltaic equipment efficiency is expected to increase and users could receive systematic maintenance services. Also the new creation of small photovoltaic equipment maintenance service would form a new market to generate more jobs for the society.

Implementation of Nondeterministic Compiler Using Monad (모나드를 이용한 비결정적 컴파일러 구현)

  • We discuss the implementation of a compiler for an imperative programming language, using monad in Haskell. This compiler involves a recursive-descent parser conducting nondeterministic parsing, in which backtracking occurs to try with other rules when the application of a production rule fails to parse an input string. Haskell has some strong facilities for parsing. Its algebraic types represent abstract syntax trees in a smooth way, and program codes by monad parsing are so concise that they are highly readable and code size is reduced significantly, comparing with other languages. We also deal with the runtime environment of the assembler and code generation whose target is the Stack-Assembly language based on a stack machine.

  • The goal of data mining is to develop the automatic and intelligent tools and technologies that can find useful knowledge from databases. To meet this goal, we propose an efficient data mining algorithm based on the fuzzy decision tree. The proposed method combines comprehensibility of decision tree such as ID3 and C4.5 and representation power of fuzzy set theory. So, it can generate simple and comprehensive rules describing data. The proposed algorithm consists of two stages: the first stage generates the fuzzy membership functions using histogram analysis, and the second stage constructs a fuzzy decision tree using the fuzzy membership functions. From the testing of the proposed algorithm on the IRIS data and the Wisconsin Breast Cancer data, we found that the proposed method can generate a set of fuzzy rules from data efficiently.

  • In this study, we introduce the adaptive Polynomial Neuro-Fuzzy Networks(PNFN) architecture generated from the fusion of fuzzy inference system and PNN algorithm. The PNFN dwells on the ideas of fuzzy rule-based computing and neural networks. Fuzzy inference system is applied in the 1st layer of PNFN and PNN algorithm is employed in the 2nd layer or higher. From these the multilayer structure of the PNFN is constructed. In order words, in the Fuzzy Inference System(FIS) used in the nodes of the 1st layer of PNFN, either the simplified or regression polynomial inference method is utilized. And as the premise part of the rules, both triangular and Gaussian like membership function are studied. In the 2nd layer or higher, PNN based on GMDH and regression polynomial is generated in a dynamic way, unlike in the case of the popular multilayer perceptron structure. That is, the PNN is an analytic technique for identifying nonlinear relationships between system's inputs and outputs and is a flexible network structure constructed through the successive generation of layers from nodes represented in partial descriptions of I/O relatio of data. The experiment part of the study involves representative time series such as Box-Jenkins gas furnace data used across various neurofuzzy systems and a comparative analysis is included as well.

  • This Paper is about how to deside the best parameter of PID controller, using Genetic Algorithms and Neural Networks. Control by Genetic Algorithms, which is off-line pass, has weakness for disturbance. So we want to improve like followings by adding Neural Network to controller and putting it on line. First we find PID parameter by Genetic Algorithms in forward pass of Neural Network and set the best output condition according to the increasing number of generation. Second, we explain the adaptability for disturbance with simulation by correcting parameter by backpropagation learning rule by using the learning ability of Neural Network.

The suggested mclhod predicates on sequential subdivision of the fuzzy subspacc. and the size of construc1cd pattern space is variable. Under this procedure, n-dimensional pattern space, after considering the distributional characteristic patterns, is partitioned into two different pattern subspaces. From the two subspaces, the pattern space for further subdivision is chosen; then, this subdivision procedure recursively repeats itself until the stopping condition is fulfilled. The result of this study is applied to 2, 4, 7 band of satellite Landsat TM and satisfac10ry result is acquired.

  • Equations are widely used in representing information. One of the basic questions about equations is to determine whether a given equation follows logically from the set of equations. Rewrite systems are one of the method to answer many instances of this problem. A rewrite system simplifies a given term by applying rewrite rules successively. Hence it is important that the process of simplification does not go on indefinitely. One of the methods to check whether a rewrite system terminates (that is, the rewrite system does not go on indefinitely) is polynomial orderings. A polynomial ordering assigns an appropriate polynomial to each function symbol. However, how to assign polynomials to function symbols is not known. We propose an automatic way of generating polynomial orderings using genetic algorithms.

  • This study investigated Renaissance and Baroque architectural characteristics found in contemporary public buildings in Seoul, which are National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Seoul Branch(MMCA) and Dongdaemun Design Plaza(DDP). Among H. $W{\ddot{o}}lfflin^{\prime}s$ five categories for Renaissance-Baroque art study, four categories (Clearness/Unclearness, Plane/Recession, Closed form/Open form, Multiplicity/Unity) are applied for the analysis as the architectural issues of Transparency/Concealment, Exhibited/Experienced Depth, Formal/Figural, and Composed harmony/Generated Unity. As a result, MMCA showed the characteristics of the extreme of Modern classic such as transparency, homogenization of space, formalism, and composition of multiple elements. Meanwhile, the study could find various Baroque characteristics from DDP such as separation of indoor and outdoor, phenomenological depth, rule breaking, and generation of figure. The study finally argued that DDP would not be an anti-modern, but try to inherit and overcome the modern architecture to explore different possibilities, and that the similar relationship between Renaissance and Baroque art could be found in these two cases.

  • The amount of incoming e-mails is increasing rapidly due to the wide usage of Internet. Therefore, it is more required to classify incoming e-mails efficiently and accurately. Currently, the e-mail classification techniques are focused on two way classification to filter spam mails from normal ones based mainly on Bayesian and Rule. The clustering method has been used for the multi-way classification of e-mails. But it has a disadvantage of low accuracy of classification. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-way e-mail classification method that uses PCA for automatic category generation and dynamic category hierarchy for high accuracy of classification. It classifies a huge amount of incoming e-mails automatically, efficiently, and accurately.
