  • The service oriented architecture assures flexibility of enterprise application development, so it supports agile reaction to business change. On the other hand, considerable effort is needed to develop a service by combining business and constraint consumes because the entire combination logic should be changed according to the change in business rule. To improve the current method, this paper applied an aspect oriented approach to service system development. In this paper, the rule concern is proposed in addition to the core concern and cross cutting concern of aspect oriented approach. The rule concern is extracted from business rules included in the business processes and services. The rule concern is classified into the process rule aspect and service rule aspect according to the level of the rule. In the proposed approach, system is modularized into the core concern, cross cutting concern and rule concern through separation of concern, and they are maintained independently. Therefore, the adaptability, reusability, and maintainability of a service system will be enhanced.

  • In recent years, numerous studies have identified and explored issues related to web-service-oriented business process specifications, such as business process execution language (BPEL). In particular, business rules are an important cross-cutting concern that should be distinguished from business process instances. In this paper, we present a rule-based aspect oriented programming (AOP) framework where business rule aspects contained in business processes can be effectively separated and executed. This is achieved by using a mechanism of the business rule itself at the business rule engine instead of using existing programming language-based AOP technologies. Through some illustrative examples, this work also introduces a method by which business rule aspects, separated through an external rule engine, can be represented and evaluated. We also demonstrate how they can be dynamically woven and executed by providing an implementation example which uses two open-source-based products, the Mandarax rules engine and Bexee BPEL engine.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of home related variables like socio-demographic variables, parent-child communication, and concern for children's education on children's school adjustment. The data was collected from 287 elementary school children living in Gyunggido. Measurement scales included the children's school adjustment inventory, the questionnaire of the socio-demographic variables, the parent-child communication index, and the parent's concern about children's education index. Results showed that children's school adjustment was significantly effected with regard to: father's age, father's education, mother's education, income, and mother's job. Correlation analysis indicated that parent-child open communication was positively correlated to children's school adjustment; that is the relationships with teachers and with friends, study at school, and rule of school. As well, parent-child problematic communication was negatively correlated to all of the school adjustment variables. Parent's concern about children's education indicated positive correlations with all of the school adjustment variables. It was also found that: parent's concern about children's education, parent-child open communication, parent-child problematic communication, mother's education, and income were significant predictors of the children's school adjustment.

  • Motivated by bioequivalence studies which involve comparisons of pharmaceutically equivalent dosage forms, we propose a more general decision rule for showing equivalence simultaneously between multiple means and a control mean. Namely, this testing procedure is concerned with the situation in that one must make decisions as to the bioequivalence of an original drug product and several generic formulations of that drug. This general test is developed by considering a spherical confidence region, which is a direct extension of the usual t-based confidence interval rule formally approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. We characterize the test by the probability of rejection curves and assess its performance via Monte-Carlo simulation. Since the manufacturer's main concern is the proper choice of sample sizes, we provide optimal sample sizes from the Monte-Carlo simulation results. We also consider an application of the generalized equivalence test to a repeated measures design.

  • It is a major concern of e-shopping mall managers to satisfy a variety of customer's desire by recommending a proper commodity to the expected purchaser. Customer information like customer's fondness and idiosyncrasy in shopping has not been used effectively for the customers or the suppliers. Conventionally, e-shopping mall managers have recommended specific items of commodities to their customers without considering thoroughly in a customer point of view. This study introduces the ways of a choosing and recommending of commodities for customer themselves or others. A similarity measure between one member's idiosyncrasy and the other members' is developed based on the rule base and the case base. The case base is improved by recognizing and learning the changes of customer's desire and shopping trend.

  • After CSR is in effect, a matter of concern is how many to increase in terms of weight due to apply it to the ship and what difference it is comparing between existing rule and CSR rule. The concepts of CSR are to make the ship safer, more robust. and the design requirement clearer. Furthermore it pursues longer life of ship in fatigue strength. By reasons of those, most of requirements are stronger than before. Therefore many part of ship should be reinforced and the weight of ship can be increased. Under those circumstances, the builder should make an effort to define the CSR and to find the methods to manage well this situation. In this study, we performed 3D Cargo hold and Fine-mesh F.E analysis and deduced a conclusion and introduced new detail design.

  • With the proliferation of WWW, providing more intelligence to Web sites has become a major concern in e-business industry. In recent days, this trend is more accelerated by prosperity of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) in terms of various aspects such as product recommendation, self after service, etc. To accomplish this goal, many e-companies are eager to embed web enabled rule-based system, that is, expert systems into their Web sites and several well-known commercial tools are already available in the market. Most of those tools are developed based on CGI so far but CGI based systems inherently suffer over-burden problem when there are too many service demands at the same time due to the nature of CGI. To overcome this limitation of the existing CGI based expert systems, we propose a new form of Web-enabled expert system using hyperlink-based inference mechanism. In terms of burden to Web server, our approach is proven to outperform CGI based approach theoretically and also empirically. For practical purpose, our this approach is implemented in a software system, WeBIS and a graphic rule editing methodology, Expert Diagram is incorporated into the system to facilitates rule generation and maintenance. WeBIS is now successfully operated for financial consulting in the web site of a leading financial consulting company in Korea.

  • In a global economy where, private parties increasingly favour arbitration over litigation, many foreigners are unfortunately reluctant to arbitration with China's parties because the China national courts do not scrutinize the merits when deciding whether to recognize and enforce foreign awards. As a result, the finality of arbitral awards hangs in uncertainty. Overseas concern is that China's courts may abuse "Public Policy" grounds provided for in the New York Convention to set aside or refuse to enforce foreign awards. The purpose of this article is to examine the distrust to enforcement of arbitral awards whether that is just an assumption. In spite of the modernize and internationalize her international arbitration system and many reforms provided in the related law and rules, the most vexing leftover issues are caused of the lack of "rule of law" in China. This situation imply the risk of pervert 'Public Policy' as the ground for refusing enforcement of arbitral awards. Some cases reflect the fear. But it is unclear whether those cases caused from the lack of "rule of law" in China. Same uncertainty present between Hon Kong-China under th one country-two legal system after the return of Hong Kong to China on 1 July 1997. While China is striving to improve its enforcement mechanism in regard to the enforcement of arbitral awards, it can only be expect following the establishment of rule of law in the future.

  • Nowdays cyber education based on the internet is actively developed. But the management of the customers in the cyber education field is not enough. Then, in this paper, we provide the learner with the proposals of lectures to be extremely matched by analyzing the learning capacity and the greatest concern of him(her) using the methods of data mining, such as RFM, prediction, slickness, association rule, classification, and so on.
