전동차용 방진고무스프링 특성 및 사용수명 예측 (Characteristics and Useful Life Prediction of Rubber Spring for Railway Vehicle)

  • Rubber components are widely used in many application such as vibration isolators, damping, ride quality. Rubber spring is used in primary suspension system for railway vehicle. Characteristics and useful life prediction of rubber spring was very important in design procedure to assure the safety and reliability. Non-linear properties of rubber material which are described as strain energy function are important parameter to design and evaluate of rubber spring. These are determined by physical tests which are uniaxial tension, equi-biaxial tension and pure shear test. The computer simulation was executed to predict and evaluate the load capacity and stiffness for rubber spring. In order to investigate the useful life, the acceleration test were carried out. Acceleration test results changes as the threshold are used for assessment of the useful life and time to threshold value were plotted against reciprocal of absolute temperature to give the Arrhenius plot. By using the acceleration test, several useful life prediction for rubber spring were proposed.

  • The chevron rubber spring is used for subway vehicle as a primary suspension. Generally, the primary suspension has an influence to the running performance and not so much effect on the ride comfort in railway vehicle. But the stiffness of chevron spring is harder and harder as time goes on because of rubber characteristics. Therefore the dynamic characteristics such as ride comfort and derailment coefficient should be reviewed according to the stiffness variation of chevron rubber spring. In this paper the effect of chevron rubber spring on dynamic characteristics was studied by considering multi-body dynamics of railway vehicle on one straight line and seven curved lines.

  • Chevron rubber springs are used in primary suspensions for rail vehicle. Chevron rubber spring have function which reduce vibration and noise, support load carried in operation of rail vehicle. Prediction and evaluation of characteristics are very important in design procedure to assure the safety and reliability of the rubber spring. The computer simulation using the nonlinear finite element analysis program executed to predict and evaluate the load capacity and stiffness for the chevron spring. The non-linear properties of rubber which are described as strain energy functions are important parameters. These are determined by material tests which are uniaxial tension, equi-biaxial tension and shear test. The appropriate shape and material properties are proposed to adjust the required characteristics of rubber springs in the three modes of flexibility.

  • 고무 공기 스프링(rubber air spring)은 자동차, 철도차량 등 수송기기의 서스펜션 장치로 사용되고 있다. 고무 공기 스프링은 고무 에어백의 압축과 팽창을 통한 탄성효과로 스프링의 역할을 한다. 고무 공기 스프링의 주요 구성요소 중 하나가 고무 슬리브(rubber sleeve)이다. 고무 슬리브는 주요 구성성분인 클로로프렌 고무와 나일론 6 코드 간의 접착이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 첨가제의 영향을 고려한 고무 슬리브의 최적 배합조성과 조건을 찾기 위해 다양한 물성시험을 하였다. 또한, 보강섬유의 최적 배향을 선정하기 위해 유한요소해석법을 이용한 수치해석을 수행하였다. 고무 공기 스프링을 제조하여 실제 차량에 장착하여 기초물성과 피로수명 및 기밀성을 시험하였다.

  • The suspension system of railway rolling-stock is composed of the primary and secondary suspension elements. Recently, a conical rubber spring is widely used as the primary suspension element due to the merits of the three directional stiffness characteristics. So, understanding the properties and characteristics of the conical rubber spring is very important from the viewpoint of vehicle stability and efficient maintenance. Thus, this study is started to acquire the basic data for maintaining spring elements efficiently. For this, we tested the conical rubber spring samples including a new and old specimen with aging. As a test result, we have obtained the property characteristics of the aged spring comparing with the new product and we describe the results.

  • Metal bonded rubber spring is used in primary suspension component of the high speed train. The aim of this study is to establish a finite element analysis technique for the metal bonded rubber spring. Some theoretical analyses were performed on the hyperelastic behavior in rubber material and test are carried out to acquire the constants in strain energy function for it. Also, finite element analysis were executed to evaluate the design parameter and behavior of deformation and stress distribution using by the commercial finite element code.

  • Rubber spring is used in primary suspension system for railway vehicle. This rubber spring has function which reduce vibration and noise, support the load carried in operation of rail vehicle. These are determined by material tests which are tension, compression and shear test. The behaviors of load-displacement of rubber spring for rail vehicle are evaluated by using commercial FEA code. It is shown that the results by FEA simulations are in close agreement with the test results

축상스프링 노화에 따른 탈선안전도 영향 분석 (Analysis of Influence on Derailment due to Primary Spring Aging)

  • 철도차량에 폭 넓게 적용되고 있는 축상고무스프링의 노화에 따른 탈선안전도 영향을 분석하고자 노화 축상고무스프링 시료를 대상으로 특성시험을 수행하였다. 그리고 축상고무스프링 노화가 탈선 안전에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 주행 동특성 해석을 수행하였다. 사용연수 17년이 지난 롤고무 축상스프링 시료를 대상으로 한 상하방향 특성시험결과, 고무 노화로 인하여 변위 복원기능이 저하되었고 스프링강성이 현저히 증가하였다. 그리고 EN14363규격 적용 twist궤도 주행 시를 모사한 주행동특성 해석결과, 정상 차량모델(Case1)에 비하여 노화 축상스프링 특성을 적용한 차량모델(Case2)의 탈선계수와 윤중감소가 증가하여 탈선안전도는 저하하였다. 특히 급격한 선형 변동이 발생하는 천이구간 주행 시 윤중감소로 인한 탈선안전도는 취약하게 나타났다.

  • An air spring which is a part of the railroad vehicle suspension system is used to reduce and absorb the vibration and the noise. Main components of the air spying are a cord reinforced rubber bellows, a upper plate, a lower plate and a stopper rubber spring. The characteristics of the air spring which are the load capacity, the vertical and the horizontal stiffness are depended on the configuration of rubber bellows, the angle of cord and the mechanical properties of cord. The computer simulation using commercial finite element analysis codes are executed to predict and evaluate the load capacity and the stiffness. The appropriate shape and cord angle of the air suing are selected to adjust the required performance of the air spring. Several samples of the air spring are manufectured and experimented. It is shown that the results by computer simulation are in close agreement with the test results.
