This paper deals with the free vibrations of elastica shaped arches. The elastica shaped arches are formed by the post-buckled column whose arc length is always constant. The equations governing free, planar vibration of general arch in open literature are modified for applying the free vibrations of elastica shaped arch and solved numerically to obtain frequencies and mode shapes for hinged-hinged, clamped-hinged and clamped-clamped end constraints. The effects of rotatory inertia, rise ratio and slenderness ratio on natural frequencies are presented. The frequencies of elastica shaped arches are greater than those of parabolic shaped ones. Also, typical mode shapes are presented in figures.
The peptidyl transferase center (PTC) is located in a protein free environment, thus confirming that the ribosome is a ribozyme. This arched void has dimensions suitable for accommodating the 3'ends of the A-and the P-site tRNAs, and is situated within a universal sizable symmetry-related region that connects all ribosomal functional centers involved in amino-acid polymerization. The linkage between the elaborate PTC architecture and the A-site tRNA position revealed that the A-to P-site passage of the tRNA 3'end is performed by a rotatory motion, which leads to stereochemistry suitable for peptide bond formation and for substrate mediated catalysis, thus suggesting that the PTC evolved by genefusion. Adjacent to the PTC is the entrance of the protein exit tunnel, shown to play active roles in sequence-specific gating of nascent chains and in responding to cellular signals. This tunnel also provides a site that may be exploited for local co-translational folding and seems to assist in nascent chain trafficking into the hydrophobic space formed by the first bacterial chaperone, the trigger factor. Many antibiotics target ribosomes. Although the ribosome is highly conserved, subtle sequence and/or conformational variations enable drug selectivity, thus facilitating clinical usage. Comparisons of high-resolution structures of complexes of antibiotics bound to ribosomes from eubacteria resembling pathogens, to an archaeon that shares properties with eukaryotes and to its mutant that allows antibiotics binding, demonstrated the unambiguous difference between mere binding and therapeutical effectiveness. The observed variability in antibiotics inhibitory modes, accompanied by the elucidation of the structural basis to antibiotics mechanism justifies expectations for structural based improved properties of existing compounds as well as for the development of novel drugs.
A new alkaloid named Spirajine(m.p. 182~$184^{\circ}C$$[{\alpha}]d^{19}+3.4^{\circ}$ in $CHCl_3$, $C_{23}H_{33}NO_3$, colorless prism) was isolated from the leaves of Spiraea Koreana Nakai (Spiraeceae) (Korean name "Chamjopab namu") which grows in the mountaineous area of Korea, by process of Scheme I (yields 0.13%). Another two unidentified alkaloids (not yet crystallized) were separated by the method of thin layer chromatography. (The Rf values of the two unidentified alkaloids were 0.66, 0.77, respectively and Spirajine 0.72) Spirajine were subjected to the structural investigation with the use of ultra violet and infra red spectrophotometry, and opical rotatory dispersion. The alkaloid contains two ketonic carbonyl groups, tertiary hydroxyl group, methyl groups, N-methyl group and both cyclohexane ring and cyclopentane ring.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to compare differences in muscle activities according to distance changes, and success or failure in relation to approaches during a round of golf in order to obtain basic data on golf swings. Methods : To achieve our research goal, we asked eight professional golfers playing for the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (height: $1.76{\pm}0.05m$, weight: $73.87{\pm}9.21kg$, career duration: $12.87{\pm}4.48yr$) to perform approach swings at distances of 30, 50, and 70 m. Results : No differences were observed in the muscle activity of the extensor carpi radialis that were caused by the distance changes. In addition, we found that the wrist extensors seemed unaffected by the increase in approach distance. Also, we found that the powers of the approach shots were driven by efficient movements rather than by the strength of the arms. We confirmed that when the distance of the approach increased, the golfers should perform their back-swing tops and follow-through right from the right to the left pelvic limb. To achieve successful approach swings despite distance changes, golfers should first work on the activity of the erector spinae to prepare for rotatory power in the P1 section. Moreover, golfers should increase the activity of the erector spinae on the left when they need to deal with the distance improvements in the P2 and P3 sections. Conclusion : In the light of the discussion above, we may infer that despite approach distance changes during a round of golf, ideal swings can be realized by consistent activities of the wrist extensor muscles and improved performances of the pelvic limb muscles. Furthermore, this study suggests that golfers should improve the consistency of muscle activities in all the other body parts to achieve the ideal swing.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to present quantitative data and basic references to decrease the accident risk of soccer instructors. Methods : To obtain data, we conducted an investigation on how H/Q ratio affects the dynamic stability of the lower extremity at the time of drop landing. The study targeted 13 soccer players from C University who have not had any injuries or wounds in the lower extremity joints and in any other parts of their bodies over the last 6 months. By using CMIS (USA), the players were divided into two groups according to H/Q ratios higher and lower than 69%, respectively. The subjects in each group were instructed to perform a drop landing. Results : The H/Q ratio did not affect the maximal flexion angle of the knee joints at the time of drop landing. In addition the dominant group with a relatively high H/Q ratio was observed to have increased time to reduce shock and to efficiently absorb the ground reaction force during drop landing. Also, the dominant group with a relatively high H/Q ratio utilized the strong performances of the antagonistic muscles around the hamstrings and the controlled rotatory powers of the thighs that were applied to the tibias supported by the ground. Finally, H/Q ratio, load factors, and mean and maximum EMG were significantly negatively related, whereas GRFx showed a positive relationship. In fact, these factors all affected the impact of the load from the H/Q ratio to the knee joints. Conclusion : From these findings it can be concluded that unbalanced H/Q ratio can be considered as a predictor of knee joint injury at the time of drop landing.

Lateral canal benign paroxysmal vertigo (BPPV) causing dizziness is a common cause is not found while continuing to appeal for vertigo is a typical disease. It is characterized by acute stand up, brief and rotatory vertigo attacks provoked by change in head position. Treatment requires only one treatment visit in most patients. However, there are significant numbers of patients who require multiple treatment visits for relief. The purpose of this study benign paroxysmal positional vertigo treatment of type affect is to analyze the cause. Dizziness and vertigo patient's in patients admitted to the dizziness center of lateral canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo were classified. In patients with lateral canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and accompanying lateral 15 treatment affects disease were investigated. March 2008 to November 2010 lateral canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo 166 people cure rate of patients was investigated. First time the success rate of 74.1%, twice times the success rate of 12.0%, three times the success rate of 9.6%, more than three times the success rate was 4.2%. Affecting factor treatment of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo in post-traumatic, medicine disease, headache, cerebral infarction, small vessel disease, vestibulopathy, (p<0.05). Direct removal of beak-type ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament at thoracic spine (T-OPLL) is a challenging surgical technique due to the potential risk of neural injury. Slipping off the cutting surface of a high-speed drill may result in entrapment in neural structures, leading to serious complications. Removal of T-OPLL with an ultrasonic osteotome, utilizing back and forth micro-motion of a blade rather than rotatory-motion of drill, may reduce such complications. We have applied the ultrasonic osteotome for posterior circumferential decompression of T-OPLL for three consecutive patients with beak-type OPLL and have described the surgical techniques and patient outcomes. The preoperative chief complaint was gait disturbance in all patients. Japanese orthopedic association scores (JOA) was used for functional assessment. Scores measured 2/11, 5/11, 2/11, and 4/11 for each patient. The ventral T-OPLL mass was exposed after posterior midline approach, laminotomy and transeversectomy. The T-OPLL mass was directly removed with an ultrasonic osteotome and instrumented segmental fixation was performed. The surgeries were uneventful. Detailed surgical techniques were presented. Gait disturbance was improved in all patients. Dural tear occurred in one patient without squeal. Postoperative JOA was 6/11, 10/11, 8/11, and 8/11 (recovery rate; 44%, 83%, 67%, and 43%) respectively at 18, 18, 10, and 1 months postoperative. T-OPLL was completely removed in all patients as confirmed with computed tomography scan. We hope that surgical difficulties in direct removal of T-OPLL might be reduced by utilizing ultrasonic osteotome.

A new control method for precision robust speed control of a PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) using load torque observer is presented. Using this system, we can more precisely evacuate of vestibular function. Until now a rotating chair system, so called 2D-stimulator, which has vertical rotate axis is used to make dizziness. However, an inclined rotating chair system witch is called 3D-stimulator is needed to obtain the precise dizziness data. This 3D-stimulator include unbalanced load caused by unbalanced center of mass. In this case, new compensation method is considered to obtain robust speed control using load torque observer. To reduce the effect of this disturbance, we can use dead-beat observer that has high gain. The application of the load to torque observer is published in for position control. However, there is a problem of using speed information such as amplifying effect of noise. Therefore, we can reduce a noise effect by moving average process. The experimental results are depicted in this paper to show the effect of this proposed algorithm.
Dizziness is one of common diseases clinically, it is defined as a hallucination or an illusion of motion that causes sensation disorder of circumstance, and described as circulatory. rotatory leaning. shaking sensation. In particular, benign paroximal positional vertigo(BPPV) is one of peripheral vertigo, it causes dizziness due to debris which has collected within a part of the inner ear. Chemically, debris are small crystals of calcium carbonate. They are derived from structures in the ear called 'otoliths' that have been damaged by head injury, infection, or other disorder of the inner ear, or degenerated because of advanced age. The symptoms of BPPV include dizziness or vertigo, lightheadedness, imbalance, and nausea, Activities which bring on symptoms will vary in each person, but symptom are almost always precipitated by a position change of the head or body. As for treatment of vertigo, it is differentiated as excess in the upper and deficiency in the lower(上實下虛) and treated in oriental medicine and are used to stability. antihistaminics . anticolinergics . vestibule control drug of GABA system in western medicine. Moreover, Dix-hallpike maneuver is applicated in diagnosis and treatment of BPPV patients. A case of dizziness patient suggested benign paroximal positional vertigo who is diagnosed as weakly dizziness(虛暈)showed prominent improvement by Jaeumkunbitang-gamibang(滋陰建脾湯) and Dix-hallpike maneuver.

On the stability of the Beck's column with a tip mass, the influence of the characteristics of the springs at the fixed end of the column are studied. The equations of motion and boundary conditions of this system are established by using the Hamiton's principle. On the evaluation of the stability of the column, t he effect of the shear deformation and rotatory inertial is considered in calculation. For the maintenance of the stability of the column, it is proved that the constant of the translational spring at the fixed end must be very large while th magnitude of the constant of the rotational spring at the fixed end has no effect. When the constants of the springs at the fixed end are small, it is also proved that the influence of the moment of inertial of the tip mass on the stability of the column are decreased and for the translational spring the degree of the decrease is more and more. Therefore it is found that the characteristics of the springs at the fixed end are very effective elements for the stability of the column when the columns subjected to a compressive follower force are designed.
