슬림형 룸에어컨 설계 인자에 관한 연구 (Numerical and Experimental Analysis of Design Parameters of a Slim Room Air-conditioner)

  • Numerical simulations and experiments were conducted to analyze the design parameters for a slim room air-conditioner. These design parameters included a fan shape, a front panel, a scroll shape, a bell mouth, a distance between a fan and a heat exchanger, etc. Each design parameter was analyzed numerically and/or experimentally in terms of the flow rate and the sound pressure level, which should be the most influential factors for developing the slim room air-conditioner. The fan with a uniform height showed a better performance than that with a linearly varying height. It is recommended to use a front grill rather than a front panel according to sound pressure levels since the front panel itself is a huge resistance to the inlet flow. A redesigned scroll shape by changing the rotational direction of a fan also contributed a lot to lowering the sound pressure level. There existed a distance between a fan and a heat exchanger, where flow rates increased effectively.

The reliability of the nonradiologic measures of thoracic spine rotation in healthy adults

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the intertester reliability and validity of four nonradiologic measurements of thoracic spine rotation in healthy adults. Design: Descriptive laboratory study. Methods: This study was conducted on 20 male and 20 female university students aged between 19 and 26. To measure thoracic rotation, a goniometer, a bubble inclinometer, a dual inclinometer, and a smartphone application-clinometer were used. The measurement was performed twice for each device and the same measurement was performed by two examiners. The measurements were performed in the lumbar locked position. The arm in the direction of rotation was taken back and placed onto the back of the lumbar region. With right and left trunk rotation, the head was rotated together but remained in the center line so that the axial rotation was maintained. Both examiners performed the measuring procedures and directly handled the measuring instrument. All measurement results were recorded by the recorder. Results: The range of motion (ROM) of thoracic rotation in lumbar locked position for all four devices was 47 degrees. The intra-rater reliability estimates ranged from 0.738 to 0.906 (p<0.05). The inter-rater reliability estimates ranged from 0.736 to 0.853 (p<0.05). The goniometer, bubble inclinometer, dual inclinometer, and smartphone clinometer showed high validity (p<0.05). This result indicates that all four devices may be used by the same examiner and by other examiners obtaining follow-up measurement. Conclusions: The use of the goniometer, bubble inclinometer, dual inclinometer, and smartphone clinometer for measurements in the lumbar locked posture are reliable and valid nonradiologic measures of thoracic rotational ROM in healthy adults.

비틀림 비정형 건물의 내진설계를 위한 우발편심 비틀림 증폭계수 검증 (Verification of the Torsional Amplification Factor for the Seismic Design of Torsionally Imbalanced Buildings)

  • 건물의 실제 편심은 일반적으로 계산된 값과 상당히 다르며, 정형 건물도 비틀림의 영향을 받는다. 질량분포의 비대칭성과 수직축에 대한 지반의 회전요소와 같은 요인들의 영향을 고려하고, 비틀림 비정형 건물의 취약성을 줄이기 위하여 내진설계규준에서는 우발편심과 비틀림 증폭계수를 도입하였다. 본 연구에서는 정형건물의 다양한 형상비와 평면중심으로부터의 부재위치에 따른 비틀림 증폭계수의 영향 및 이 계수에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하였고 보통암 지반에 위치한 다양한 편심과 형상비를 갖는 비선형 철근콘크리트 단층모델을 이용하여 비틀림 증폭계수를 검증하였다. 비선형 정적해석과 시간이력해석을 이용하여 구한 연약단부의 최대 정적변위와 동적변위는 비교적 일치하였으나 최대 정적비틀림과 동적비틀림의 차이는 편심크기가 작을수록 크게 나타났다. 1차 설계편심에 비틀림 증폭계수 적용유.무에 따라 연약단부 부재의 밑면전단력 증가가 미비하여 최대 정적변위의 증가비가 크지 않다.

"Dust, Ice, and Gas In Time" (DIGIT) Herschel Observations of GSS30-IRS1 in Ophiuchus

  • As a part of the "Dust, Ice, and Gas In Time" (DIGIT) key program on Herschel, we observed GSS30-IRS1, a Class I protostar located in Ophiuchus (d =125 pc), with Herschel/Photodetector Array Camera and Spectrometer (PACS). More than 70 lines were detected within a wavelength range from 50 ${\mu}m$ to 200 ${\mu}m$: CO lines from J = 14-13 to 41-40, several $H_2O$ lines of Eup = 100 K to 1500 K, 16 transitions of OH rotational lines, and two atomic [O I] lines at 63 and 145 ${\mu}m$. The [C II] line, known as a tracer of externally heated gas by the interstellar radiation field, is also detected at 158 ${\mu}m$. All lines, except [O I] and [C II], are detected only at the central spaxel of $9^{\prime\prime}.4{\times}9^{\prime\prime}.4$. The [O I] emission is extended along a NE-SW orientation, which is consistent with the known outflow direction, while the [C II] line is detected over all spaxels. One possible explanation of the detection of the [C II] line and no correlation of its spatial distribution with any other molecular emission is the existence of the enhanced ISRF nearby GSS30-IRS1. One interesting feature of GSS30-IRS1 is that the continuum emission is extended beyond the point-spread function (PSF), unlike the molecular line emission, indicative of significant external heating. The best-fit continuum model of GSS30-IRS1 with the physical structure including flared disk, envelope, and outflow shows that the internal luminosity is 11 $L_{\odot}$, and the region is also externally heated by a radiation field enhanced by a factor of 25 compared to the local standard interstellar field.

특징 기반 움직임 플로우를 이용한 이동 물체의 검출 및 추적 (Moving object segmentation and tracking using feature based motion flow)

  • 본 논문에서는 배경의 움직임이 유발되는 능동 CCD 카메라를 통하여 실시간으로 포착되는 영상 데이터를 대상으로 카메라의 사전 설치 정보나 좌표 보정(calibration) 없이 강체(rigid body) 혹은 비 강체(non-rigid body)의 움직이는 물체를 추출하고 이의 이동 방향을 판단하여, 추적하는 효율적인 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이동 물체의 영역분할을 위하여 동체의 형태를 규정하는 특징 점을 추출하고, 시간에 따른 특징 점의 이동 벡터로 구성된 특정 플로우 필드(feature flow field)를 구한 후 이들을 다차원 특정 공간상에서 군집화(clustering)함으로써 동체를 추출한다. 제안하는 IRMAS(lncremenatal Rotational Minimum Angle Search)에 의하여 군집화된 특정점들의 볼록 다각형(convex hull)올 구함으로써 이동 물체의 개괄적인 외곽 형태를 재 구성한다. 또한, 이동 궤적의 갑작스러운 변화를 가져올 수 있는 동작 특성을 가지는 이동 물체의 효과적인 추적을 목적으로 개선된 선형 예측기를 사용하였다. 이동 궤적 예측기는 기존의 선형 예측기의 차수를 이동의 변화도에 따라 적응적으로 조정함으로써 예측 오차를 감소시켜, 빠른 속도로 이동 궤적에 수렴한다.

한계상태방정식에 의한 R/C 전단벽의 유한요소 간편 해석과 설계 (Simplified Analysis and Design with Finite Element for Reinforced Concrete Shear Walls Using Limit State Equations)

  • 본 논문은 콘크리트 균열방향의 회전 및 철근의 항복에 따른 2차원 R/C 구조물의 극한거동 덴 한계상태설계에 관한 연구를 다룬 것으로, 유한요소모델에 적용하여 비선형 해석 및 한계상태설계가 가능한 수치 해석 및 설계 알고리즘을 소개하였다. 철근의 설계를 위하여, 각 유한요소의 극한거동에 기초한 한계상태설계방정식이 유한요소 알고리즘에 도입되었다. 한편, 하중에 따른 콘크리트 균열방향의 회전 및 철근의 항복을 고려한 2차원 R/C 평면요소의 단순화된 실용적 비선형 응력-변형률 거동의 구성관계모델을 제시하여 비선형 유한요소해석 알고리즘을 구성하였다 제시된 해석 모델을 R/C 전단벽의 실험모델과 비교하여 검증하도록 하였으며, R/C 전단벽에 대한 설계 예를 통하여, 각각의 유한요소에서 얻어진 설계 철근비를 한계상태설계방정식으로부터 산정하였다.

박벽 공간뼈대구조의 안정성 및 후좌굴 유한요소해석 (Stability and Post-Buckling Analyses of Thin-Walled Space Frames Using Finite Element Method)

  • 구속된 ?(restrained warping)효과를 고려하는 박벽 공간뼈대구조의 횡후좌굴거동을 조사하기 위하여 기하학적 비선형 유한요소이론 및 해석법을 제시한다. 가상일의 원리를 이용하여 대변형효과를 고려한 3차원 연속체의 평형방정식으로부터, 구속된 ?효과를 고려하고 유한한 회전각의 2차항의 효과를 포함하는 변위장을 도입하여 초기응력을 받는 박벽 공간뼈대요소의 증분평형방정식을 유도한다. 박벽 공간뼈대구조를 유한요소로 나누고 변위장을 요소변위에 관한 Hermitian 다항식으로 나타내어 이를 평형방정식에 대입함으로써 접선강도행렬을 유도한다. 또한 updated Lagrangian formulation에 근거하여, 증분변위로부터 강체회전변위와 순수변형성분을 분리시켜서 강체회전은 요소의 방향변화를 결정하고, 순수변형은 부재력증분을 산정하는 불평형하중 산정법을 제시한다. 박벽 공간뼈대구조의 횡-비틂좌굴 및 후좌굴 거동에 대한 예제들을 통하여 본 연구에 대한 해석결과와 문헌의 결과를 비교 검토함으로써 본 연구에서 제시된 이론 및 해석방법의 정당성을 입증한다.

A nonlocal zeroth-order shear deformation theory for free vibration of functionally graded nanoscale plates resting on elastic foundation

  • The objective of this work is to present a zeroth-order shear deformation theory for free vibration analysis of functionally graded (FG) nanoscale plates resting on elastic foundation. The model takes into consideration the influences of small scale and the parabolic variation of the transverse shear strains across the thickness of the nanoscale plate and thus, it avoids the employ use of shear correction factors. Also, in this present theory, the effect of transverse shear deformation is included in the axial displacements by using the shear forces instead of rotational displacements as in available high order plate theories. The material properties are supposed to be graded only in the thickness direction and the effective properties for the FG nanoscale plate are calculated by considering Mori-Tanaka homogenization scheme. The equations of motion are obtained using the nonlocal differential constitutive expressions of Eringen in conjunction with the zeroth-order shear deformation theory via Hamilton's principle. Numerical results for vibration of FG nanoscale plates resting on elastic foundations are presented and compared with the existing solutions. The influences of small scale, shear deformation, gradient index, Winkler modulus parameter and Pasternak shear modulus parameter on the vibration responses of the FG nanoscale plates are investigated.

직관적 제어가 가능한 드론과 컨트롤러 개발 (Development of an intuitive motion-based drone controller)

  • Drones can be manipulated in a variety of ways. One of the most common controller is joystick method. But joystick controller uses both hands and takes a long time to learn. Particularly, in the case of 8-character flight, it is necessary to use both front and rear flight (pitch), left and right flight (Roll), and body rotation (Yaw). Joystick controller has limitations to intuitively control it. In particular, when the main body rotates, the viewpoint of the forward direction is changed between the drones and the user, thereby causing a mental rotation problem in which the user must control the rotating state of the drones. Therefore, we developed a motion matching controller that matches the motion of the drones and the controller. That is, the movement of the drone and the movement of the controller are the same. In this study, we used a gyro sensor and an acceleration sensor to map the controller's forward / backward, left / right and body rotation movements to drone's forward / backward, left / right, and rotational flight motion. The motor output is controlled by the throttle dial at the center of the controller. As the motions coincide with each other, it is expected that the first drone operator will be able to control more intuitively than the joystick manipulator with less learning.

경운기의 고속 로터리 경운시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the Development of High-speed Rotary Tilling System for Power Tiller)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop high-speed rotary tillage system for a power tiller by improving the rotary blade and the power train of transmission. Mechanical structure of gear train of rotary drive of conventional power tiller was simplified so that power can be transmitted directly from second shaft to tilling speed change shaft by rotating freely the transfer gear which changes the direction of rotation of shafts using needle bearing installed into middle shaft. A new gear train suitable for the single-edged rotary blade and high-speed rotary drive was developed with the rotational speed of rotary shaft faster than 7.5% at 1st-speed and 1.4% at 2nd-speed the one of conventional system by changing the numbers of teeth of gears of middle shaft, tilling speed change shaft and PTO shaft. Using the developed gear train for high-speed rotary drive, field tests were performed to compare tillage performances by the developed single-edged blade and by the conventional double-edged blade. The results showed that the performances by the single-edged blade compared with the one by the double-edged blade was improved about 18% in field capacity, about 34% in fuel consumption, and 9.4% in soil crushing ratio. Therefore, it may be concluded that tillage performance by the single-edged blade was improved compared to the one by the conventional blade. Evaluation of the developed system consisting of single-edged blade and gear train for high-speed rotary drive in field revealed that tillage performance of the developed system was similar to the one of field test conducted using the system consisting of single-edged blade and gear train for rotary drive of conventional power tiller However, considering the higher cone index of the upland field where evaluation was carried out compare to the one of the ordinary paddy field, it may be concluded that tillage performance of the developed rotary tilling system better than the one of conventional system.
